UPDATE: I HAVE TWO NEW BIRDROOM TOURS! OK actually 3 since I moved in 2020 and have a NEW bird building!!! Improvements are always on my mind so check out the vids on my sunroom for the birds in TEXAS!

Join me for my fun bird room tour! I kept it short and sweet as we are moving the birds to Texas and had to take out the birdie play-gym trees and live plants that I had in the bird room last year. I will post the links to a few of my favorite bird perches, bird pellets, bird toys, enrichment activities, and parrot play-gyms that we have either used in the past or have in our storage unit for the new home. Parrot education will decrease the amount of pet parrots given away & neglected resulting in an increase in the bond between bird and parront. Always keep in mind that NOT all pet birds will be cuddly and sweet for various reasons such as the previous history, health, age milestones, and environment. Your job is to LOVE and care properly for your parrot. **Change your RU-vid settings to 240p or higher for better video resolution (the small wheel icon in the lower right).

I love your birds and birdroom. They are all such wonderful pets. I wish I could have a birdroom too, but I can't because my house is small. I also love how you don't get bothered by their noise. 👍❤

ME too and I thought to myself, I just got a new computer and the sticker says HD, lol! I am too funny!!! The vids drove me CRAZY from the past and our WIFI issues but all seems good in the new Texas home!

Do you have any pet birds now? When I was younger before kids 15 years ago, I worked and trained with several types of animals in my hometown zoo and other places and then would come home each day and spend the whole night caring and enjoying my own birds and pets. Now I homeschool my 4 kids at home and have had many pet parrots for so long that it is all I know. We have a routine every day in the bird room where we team up and clean two times a day during feeding all of them and then birdie playtime varies from afternoon to evening. Our birds are out 75% of the day and most days if I leave with one of the kids for a homeschool event, another family member is still home. It is the passion of our life and does take a lot of attention and hard work but when you love what you do then that is TRUE LIVING. :)

Welcome to my channel! Thanks for your input, I feel Ruby's cage is a great size for her. The video might not show its actually height and width but I love to hear all opinions. She is not in her cage except to sleep, eat, and rest when we are out of the house which is not very often since we live so far away from the city, lol! I will be uploading her birthday bash video here soon. Ruby just turned 19 years old on Valentine's Day! Glad to have you on the channel. I really enjoy my birdie friends! The HD looks great! I'm actually starting the process of adopting a bird! It's a really smooth process, and doesn't have any adoption fees, which is a nice bonus. I'm looking at a bg macaw or a cockatoo or an amazon. :)

Wow! We are picking up two 5 week old baby sun Conures tomorrow. We have small room attached to our bedroom that I will use as the bird room. Lots of windows that we will cover up today with curtains. Free Flight Training will happen as soon as they are ready.

Yeah bird are and can be definitely loud at times no doubt about it. I would think though that having all those birds would be way louder than someone like me who only has one or two birds plus there would be more mess to deal with my green cheek are pretty quite as long as I'm giving her attention

LOL! Yes, it is a labor of LOVE. The birds are very quiet and go to sleep when we shut the lights off at night from about 10PM to 8AM. They are not always loud during the day, when I am filming around them and talking they think I am interacting and become SUPER loud ha ha. We just moved to Texas and I will be uploading the NEW sunroom bird tour soon! They are up earlier now due to the sun shining in but we can't hear them much with the door closed.

Thanks again! I finally counted as we were preparing our move to Texas and listed them all for kennels. There is 37 BIRDIES! NEW Sunroom vid coming next week in our NEW home!

Yes, very hard! We planned the move down to every detail for months as to be SUPER prepared. The drive was 15 hours and a once in a life time experience. All the birds in the kennels had food, water, and perches. They did not make a peep the entire time. They knew something weird was going on I'm sure and were a bit stressed with the change but adjusted right away in the new home. I had planned on doing a video during the drive but it was at night in the dark and with the crazy cold weather, it didn't happen. My kids were angels and checked on the birds the whole way to Texas.

I stay home with my birds and homeschool my 4 kids. My daughters LOVE helping with the daily bird chores. I feel so blessed to have amazing children.

How much time does each bird get out of their cage and interacting with you or one of your family?

Great question! With 6 people in our household, we each have our own birds that we get out daily to play on a bird perch or in our household areas. The typical time span is 2 hours each except for the larger macaws and amazons are out for the entire day unless eating or resting. My children are home-schooled and have activities outside of the home but love spending most of their "free" time with the animals. We have more than just birds....Our schedule is to feed & water 2x's a day including giving a separate bowl of fresh foods to each bird. Most birds are out from 10am to noon after they eat, then from 3pm to 5pm, and again after we eat dinner from 7pm to 9pm. Some of the birds I have rescued and adopted do not like to be out for long periods and will fly off and be timid so I respect their time and allow them to go back in their cage when I see the anxiety setting in. It's a busy lifestyle for sure and we love it! I have an updated bird room tour video on my channel from last year when we moved and am currently working on the NEW cages and updates we made for 2019!

The cages are by Custom Cages. It use to be called CagesbyDesign. I love the cages, they can be customized however you want them. The sides can be bars instead of the acrylic glass, I had a home daycare years ago and chose the acrylic so the kiddos could not get their fingers bit.

All my bird's wings are trimmed except for Chia who is flight trained.

I have been blessed to never have had any sick birds. I do have a great avian vet if needed tho! When I use to work for a vet, I did get to learn about bird treatments but so thankful to not need anything done. All of the birds are mine, I have fostered a few in the past that were then adopted out. I take each bird by rescue a case by case basis for my family and the flock.
