Well you should know about the sleepers as you have travelled on the MK 5, which I might do in 2022. Last time I saw a 31 moving was on the SVR this year, good to see you making a comment again Julian.

Thank you, lol. There used to be a platform 4 alongside the liner. Where the remains of the wood fence is,there used to be a public entrance via a stairway against the retaining wall. At the end of the platform there was a water crane and a starting signal. The current footbridge also led to it until truncated when the platform closed in 1969.

David that stock was part of the night sleeper to Europe which was going to go through the Channel Tunnel. All the stock was built but it never happened, a terrible was of money. Thanks for your comment.
