I've never been a big birthday person, so last year I didn't have anything planned coming up on my birthday month. Lucky for me, I have an amazing friend who was willing to host me for the week and plan a couple quick trips from her home base in San Francisco.
We spent a long weekend taking a couple trips out of the city that would be perfect for any weekend or overnight stay. The first was a backpacking destination just a ferry away right in San Francisco bay and the other was a car camping spot in Yosemite -- my favorite National Park!
We're blessed in California to have beautiful nature all around, but I hope you feel inspired to find your own adventure wherever you are. It doesn't have to be extravagantly exotic, far, or long to make for a fulfilling trip ❤
