Bro I'm turning 38 in about a month and you've inspired me to get back out there and skate, I had a meniscus knee surgery back in January and I was feeling I couldn't get back out there but you gave me hope and sparked that flame again.
Soul to back unity or back unity to soul is a nice simple switch up get in your pocket. Front backslide into switch top acid is a super natural transition as well. A lot of the switch-ups you had trouble with aren't very naturally flowing into each other
I saw your birthday challenges before, and they inspired me to do 44 X my 44th; it seemed like a good idea. I used different rules than your old ones, and, unbeknow to me, some rules that you used on this last one. It was exausting, and maddening at points, but so satisfying once I got the edit all done. Thank you.
Congrats on getting it done in one day, it was a slog, but you made it... Just! 🙌 I really like this idea and think I might try it myself when it's my birthday.
Happy belated, Law! Love seeing you skating and inspiring others to skate. Quick question on the tricks? Do you count air tricks, that could help next year 😉
Happy birthday Lawrence. I'm turning 43 next month, and I'm not sure I can come anywhere close to 43 tricks. And most tricks I can do are not grinds. But keep up the good work!
Happy Belated BDay Law! At 45 and that amount of tricks …. Endurance and Perseverance! Reminded me of a comedy skit by Legend Robin Williams on marathon running…..(highly recommend watching it , it is hilarious)just add the tricks instead of the miles that Mr Williams said , ….. “First couple of tricks ..I’m feeling fabulous “ “24 tricks and I’m not doin’ so good” “45 tricks and why the f$#k am I doing this “ lol 😂 (Please refrain from saying that it gets worse every year ((direct sunlight and heat))u accomplished way more than I can do in a session) u inspire us dude! Live long and prosper 🖖🏻 , you did awesome
Happy Birthday Law ! ! Great video, I wish I had that many tricks. I'm not as good with grinds, so I would have been doing spin and grab combos off the ledges. We all work to our strengths, though. Nice job getting all of your tricks in one vid.
I’m 31 lol and just starting to learn A buddy of mine who is 26 bladed for a while and he’s teaching me the basics I had my second day out and it turns out I have pretty good balance. The things I need to get down now are Building momentum of the stride and breaking. I am loving this even though my right side buckles outward and my pinky toes in extreme pain lmao
Happy birthday blader, I'm surprised howany switch tricks you can do. Like the switch true mizu at 2:04 , switch backside royale at 4:09 or switch kind grind at 5:33. Seems to me your right food is strong, but when you do ie. 360 you're turning around your left foot, swinging right arm right to left. Because, when you do top sides on the radius or backside royale, use your right leg as it's stronger. Reason you've learnt top sides and backside royale on switch is simply unnatural turning leg, just try backside and switch backside in mini, and than try top soul on right leg, not on switch how you're usually do ;) Same for unity, you're doing it switch mostly. Have fun and thanks for content and inspiration, I'm back on blades after 20 years, my second week at age 36... lmao.
is a year already???? :D great to see the improvement in your skating skills but also on your fitness... if i'm not wrong last year was 3 sessions for 44? :)
Yeah, if you do a soul, then spin to your left and land rolling backwards, it’s a different trick name than spinning right. Not that any of this matters of course, ha
This makes a good tutorial for all the grinds. Im going to practice each trick you did. I hope I can learn them all by the time Im 45. Im 31 and a girl and i just now learned pornstar on the right soul. But still from age 14 to 31 the grinds I can go more than a foot of distance on is frontside and soul. I used to know acid, X, royale, and pornstar on unnatural left soul foot approached from right side 😃 Have still not got the hang of approaching grind on left side 😅
