I noticed everything we do in our lives day to day these days are either from satanic origins or pagan. May Allah bring us back to Din Al Islam. Ameen.
Its SO HARD to UNwash our brains with all the filths that we grew up seeing and living as if that is the way of the world. May Allah strenghten our hearts with Imane 👐
mohhamed dibil Seems like you have an obsession over Islam , it is good to see Islam has such a vast influence even on non-muslims. Just can’t leave it alone can you? Haha. Theres 2 billion of us to deal with.
Tell your mom that being a year closer to your grave is worth celebrating as well. If you are a believer, you ought to rejoice and be glad that you’re a year closer to meeting your creator( or Allah) As Christians we don’t hold any grip on staying in this world, Jesus said He’s going to his Father’s house, where he’d create rooms for us in His Father’s mansion. So, heaven is our home and a year closer to our grave is a year closer to meeting Our God and His begotten son Jesus. Muslims should stop with the hypocrisy of “where was it written in the Quran that Mohammed celebrated birthdays” I can list about 50 things Mohammed didn’t do that Muslims now practice. If Mohammed was alive, He’d definitely forbid social media (Twitter Facebook RU-vid google are all founded by Christians) Mohammed did use cars, Karl Benz ( a Christian) created the first automobile that Muslims now use. Mohammed didn’t use computer, Charles Babbage (a Christian) invented computer that Muslims now use. We can go on and on, truth is not everything existed in Mohammed of Jesus’s time. We were given brains and holy books so we can use them to make a decision between right and wrong. It’s ridiculous to say because something didn’t exist about thousands of years ago means that it’s haram now that they exist. Religion should be separated from culture, it’s one of my problems with Islam, it seeks to take away other peoples culture and identity, and replace it with Arab’s culture and traditions. People should be allowed to differentiate between Arab’s culture and traditions, and Islam’s culture and traditions. Being a Muslim shouldn’t make me an Arab
I guess, but it's also 1 year closer to Meeting Allah SWT? Maybe 1 more year of sins prevented? I don't know, I feel like the arguments presented in the video are more solid, but Allah SWT knows best, may us all be happy with the blessings of the two Eids and not rank anything to it's level.
I have learnt so much from your Outdoor Dawah videos. As a Muslim I am embarrassed that I learnt so little about these things. I am glad you provided evidences, Inshallah it will be easier to explain to the next generation.
This is why its so important for us to follow Islam growing up and if not, then we should when we get married be with a religious spouse who will raise us on Islam!
Astagfirullah… I'm 21 and I guess I hv celebrated it about 16-17 years…😭😭 In Shaa Allah… I'll never do it again nether I'll join others d0inG this… JazakAllah khairia… Sheikh…❤️🖤♥️
Celebrating birthdays is allowed according to the official opinion of the Hanbali Madhab. That’s over a hundreds of scholars conclusion based on Qur’an and Sunnah.
There is one thing I want to add. Your birthday, calculated with the lunar calendar, which is the wright timespan, is different every year. Just like Ramadan shifts, your real birthday also does in the gregorian calendar. It means you are all older then what is mentioned on your passports since an Islamic year is around 11 days shorter then the gregorian calendar you age quicker then you think. A person who thinks he is 33 is actual in the sight of Quran around 34 🙂 I never heard anyone speak about it. Since I am just a layman I am amazed how Allah helped me to pounder over this overlooked and little mentioned detail in the ummah of Muhammad, salallahu alaihi wassalaam. La ilaha ilallah. Allah’s peace and blessings be upon all messengers and prophets of Allah the(Only) king of king’s. 😅
Thank you! Allahumma bareek! This is what I've been thinking too tbh. Why would the whole world start using the Gregorian/Julian calendar? Even for people's birthdays? A country's Independence Day? First and foremost, the calendar IS of Greco-Roman origins right? So why would THAT calendar be the worldwide standard? I think we already knew WHAT made it so...
Why, why make you me older that I’m in the passport Brother !? Everyday in the life, is everyday neared to the own Death. Elhamdulilah I’m Muslim, then my white skin color is not so sun resistent like the Pharaos, or all the other Hell dwellers the enemy’s of Allah or the Prophets ( peace be upon all of them).
@@nostradamus522 if you use the hijri calendar which uses the mooncycle Islamicly you are a bit older. But they don’t use hijri calendar in the passports salaam
ma sha Allah brother. you gave us knowledge from research done for days in just a few minutes. So compressed and well said knowledge. I have much respect for you. May Allah bless you and all the Muslims who walk on the path of the sunna of the Prophet pbuh with Janna and blessings and ease on the day of resurection
This is probably the most comprehensive, understandable, descrptive video about birthday issue in RU-vid. Sheikh has explained everything with proper reasoning and to the point logics. You have opened my eyes, thanks a lotto you (and Allah) to guide me. May Allah grant you highest level of success.
Allahu Akbar! Sheikh Usman is one of the people I have so much respect for. Firm on the Sunnah with proofs you can find by yourself with no controversies. May Allah grant him the highest point in paradise.
MashAllah may Allah reward you in this life and in akhirah. Ameen sheikh kindly make this in urdu language so i can share to my Pakistani familly and friends. JazakAllah
Alhamdhulilah sheikh I really got some ilm from ur lecture and it is a very important reminder for us ummah to follow the path of rasul salallahu aleihi wassalam and the salaf saleh
Even Halloween , Christmas our pagan festivals look up their history. Don’t fall into this trap guys. We have beautiful celebrations like Eid Alhamdullilah may Allah protect us
@På Luffen he's talking about the pagan origin of the narcissistic celebration of birthdays which is a widespread problem. He's not doing what you claim he is.
In India not only prophet birthday they celebrate their birthday too. ..Muslims should abstain from such illegal activities according to Islam. MAY Allah protect us from such shaitanic deeds.
Asalam alaikum we rahmatullah we barakatu dear Brother. Thank you very much, for your in-depth research and arguments. - As a convert and father of five minors (7 to 17 years of age) I still have the questions on how to change the established customs of family and social context in appropriate way, so that, instead of discouraging or frightening my children off, encourage to a better perspective. A mere cutting of the old won't do. Any further inspiration will be apreaciated.
I don't have a good answer to your question. Small children will feel left out if their peers celebrate and they don't. They will think Islam is a kill joy. Even worse, their peers will congratulate and throw them a party out of courtesy. I know this happens in offices where they don't plan to derail us from Islam but they assume we would want that so they arrange for a cake. I don't know how I will ward them off.
@@ahmedmaaz4390 That is a good answer, dear brother. "Islam is not a kill joy" - for kids it shouldn't be. For adults, I expect a more sophisticated attitude. Like, when we go out, amongst the comrades of voluntary fire-brigade (for example) I would neither eat pig nor drink alcohol, so that my comrades do not feel "unwell". That is a different context. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It helped, to reflect more.
@@-adhkar you can tell them this story , and i also recommend to read about Omar bin Abdulaziz . Here's the story : The little boy came running to his mother crying with a request. “Jarir and Mughiz have both got new clothes for Eid. Can I have some new clothes as well?” The mother picked him up and wiped his tears. Their mother, Fatima bint Abdul Malik(RA), was no ordinary woman. Her father, grandfather and each of her four brothers were at one time or another Caliph and leader of the Muslim Ummah. In fact, her own husband was the present Caliph, Umar ibn Abdul Aziz(RA) - who ruled the world’s largest empire that stretched from the Atlantic to the Indian oceans. She promised him that she would check with his father to see if he could have new clothes for Eid. When Umar ibn Abdul Aziz returned home, his wife related her sons request to him. The Caliph had a pained look in his eyes. “Fatima, you know how much I value my children, but all the money I have is in front of you”, he said motioning towards the sparsely furnished hut. Though a Caliph, Umar took care to live honestly and did much to ensure justice. Fatima agreed with her husband, but she said that maybe it would be possible to buy very cheap clothes for him and he would just be happy with something new to wear. The tears have left satins on his cheeks. Finally, the Caliph, saddened by the plight, agreed and wrote a letter to his treasurer requesting that his pay be advanced a month early so that he could buy his child something to wear on Eid. But the honest and pious Caliph had an equally honest treasurer who wrote a letter in reply to the Caliph. The Caliph read the letter with tears flowing from his eyes: “Amir Ul-Mumineen, I have great respect for you and I trust and obey you completely. However, if you could guarantee to me that you will live through the next month and do your service to the people (which will entitle you to your pay) then the money can be advanced to you. If you cannot give the assurance of your life, then how can the treasury pay you and why are you taking the rights of the poor, orphans and widows onto your shoulders?” Caliph Umar ibn Abdul Aziz realised his mistake. Fatima bint Abdul Malik, washed the old clothes. The day of Eid arrived and the whole area of Damascus was buzzing with joy and celebration with people clad in their new attires. Caliph Umar ibn Abdul Aziz also set out for the Eid Prayer holding the hand of his son, both father and son wearing their clean old clothing. The young boy’s face shone brightly, as he walked alongside his father, convinced that the eternal pleasure and comforts of Jannah (Paradise) are by far superior to the comforts of this temporary world.
My kids get invited to bday parties at different places every now and then such as bowling or an indoor trampoline place and rather than let them go I take them to the same place on a different day and invite their cousins along We also make eid a really big deal.lots of presents lolly bags decorations visiting ppl etc... When a child of mine has an achievement like moving up a level in swim lessons or memorising a new surah anything they worked hard at we celebrate by going somewhere or offering a gift or getting a nice cake with family over
I was taught instead of celebrating birthdays i should b sad as i am one more year closer to my death. It got stuck with me. As most of the brothers mentioned about their wives insisting upon celebrating birthdays i feel u honestly. U r not alone in this. We can only pray to the almighty to give our wives hidaya n ability to use their brains Ameen.
well you definitely dont need to be sad on your birthday bcoz you r getting closer to death every second , Allah decides when you will die so obey Allah and his Mesenger p.b.u.h while you live
@På Luffen not partner, but servant and messenger of God (AlLah). He even told his family that each individual will be answerable for what they did on earth including him and that even he couldn’t save them or even himself for that matter, the ultimate reality is God. But amongst all creation he (Messenger Muhammad SAW) has the highest rank.
@På Luffen Please quote the shahada first cause we may be thinking of different things. Cause where did you get that from "I bare witness that there is no god but Allah (this alone contradicts your entire statement), and that Muhammad is the messenger of god". Are you really implying that being a prophet even remotely equates to God? If you don't then your point seems moot, and I've never seen a Christian or jew ever make this point before as it just doesn't make sense. It's strange to make your point the shahada when it's the most clear-cut point in which the oneness of God is mentioned.
I think it's incumbent upon each and every Muslim to educate oneself first and then to diligently unwrap oneself from all the innovations brought upon us as a Muslim Ummah, from Non-muslims. Certain cultures were decimated by the introduction of certain vices like the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Can you make the same guide in Urdu. i wana send that clip to my family and relatives. It's so common here in Pakistan nowadays. People infuse these haram celebrations in kids mind from childhood. جَزَاكَ ٱللَّٰهُ
Even Halloween , Christmas are pagan festivals look up their history. Don’t fall into this trap guys. We have beautiful celebrations like Eid Alhamdullilah may Allah protect us
@Alex Bowkett you’re wrong the Prophet Muhammad PBUH came to rectify the message of Ibraheem PBUH Islam is the religion of Ibraheem not pagan like people who worship statues and animals
@Alex Bowkett you are wrong the circling around the kabah was done by Ibraheem himself. Islam didn’t start at the time of prophet PBUH it was there since Adam. Muslim means to submit to the will of the creator.
@Alex Bowkett I think you’ve had a subjective negative experience that makes you feel that way and I’m sorry you feel that way. But Life is great as a Muslim
AstafirAllah. I participated in some birthday celebrations of muslim co-workers last year. These same muslims wear christmas shirts at work and go around telling people merry christmas. No more for me! Thank you very much for this video.
I attended many birthdays of many friends of many races, we wished them good health and everyone is happy after that, after all we come from the same father, just love our neighbours, thats the greatest of the ten commandments.
You are not showing love, you are sowing seeds of hate, love your neighbours, whether they wear santa claus or spiderman costumes just embrace them as brothers that god made them.
@@kevinlim7717 Bro, the sheikh literally explained in the video WHY you shouldn't celebrate birthdays, and he quoted the Old Testament. We aren't sowing seeds of hate - we're just refraining from participating in anything birthday. A person actively avoiding an uneeded ritual shouldn't offend you.
@@kevinlim7717 It's not about showing love. It's about respecting the rules of Islam. We are not living in this dunya to please people's eyes but the eyes of our creator. We can show love and care towards people in many other ways.
Yesterday I decided not to celebrate any birthdays anymore and now I’m seeing this.. Alhamdulillah may Allah bless olama el Ummah and sheikh Uthman… I hope my husband and kids submit to the new rules
First thought that went through my head! Hard enough talking to them about obligatory acts of worship.. God forbid trying to change something they've been doing for their whole life... and then try telling them not to celebrate the kids birthdays. In my head if the Prophet (saws) didn't do it then why are you? But everyone has an excuse when they want to follow their desires... Ya Allah give us patience...
I didn't like celebrating my birthday. I didn't like birthdays because of the pressure of finding presents that they liked. I buckled under pressure of celebrating mine. I did celebrate twice. Now I know it's prohibited. No more b'day celebration even pressured.
Brother can you please link or do a video on Milad/Mawlid, where people gather around chanting things about the Prophet PBUH when blessing a new house etc, need some knowledge on this!
Thank you Uthman and MasjidRibat, as this is the first, I saw someone shed the light on this topic by showing proof that BIRTHDAY is a PAGAN CELEBRATION.
Cake and candles comes not from pagan origins. It was a cultural tradition by the Germans in medieval as decoration. In case of the Greek: candles for Artemide's birthday, not their own. Nobody in the world prays Artemides for their own birthdays. Evidence in Bible, Quran and Hadith which forbid it? Not a single word. About that "other" bible: it's not a religious text, is written by . In that case it focus on individualism, that's the reason of the enfasis about birthday. But that's a way deeper problem than just one own birthday, the meaning of celebrating birthday is not in the way that "bible" suggests the people.
Ya sheikh Uthman, may Allah bless you and increase you...for always sharing beneficial knowledge. For the record I don't celebrate birthdays, and I'm not trying to suggest or "find loopholes" for the justification of celebrating birthdays. Question, the hadith you mentioned, is it referring to (any) way of looking like the non Muslims or is it referring to the basis of religious characteristics...as in imitating the religious symbolism. Because nowadays, the non muslims who celebrate birthdays do it as "thing to do" & not as a religions symbolism. Personally I don't see a value in celebrating it anyway. Just trying to get a complete understanding from the Shari'a's perspective. As far as permissibility...if the hadith is (not) referring to general things and is solely talking about religious symbols, then would birthdays be Mubaah. So long as you don't go passed the limits set by the Shari'a, ie. Extravagant spending, showing off & free mixing etc... principally is there something wrong with this? ***Again, I don't celebrate it and don't care for it.
what about the Hadith where the Prophet PBUH says we only two Eids every other Eids are cancelled Sunan Abī Dāwūd 1134 What is an Eid? Eid is a repeated celebration Birthday is a repeated celebration which makes it an Eid which is not one of our two Eids which means it is cancelled
