This is a nice easy one for anytime of the year really but I’ve had a few requests for some Nut free Biscuits/cookies. Most of my Christmas treats have nuts in them so I thought it time to make something a little different. I wish you could’ve smelt the aroma in the kitchen when these were baking Lucy, the lemon and fruit cooking was sublime. I’ll try and get a couple more holiday recipes up this week for the last minute bakers. Have a wonderful weekend Lucy and thank you for the lovely comments and for watching.;-))

Yummo Cheekyricho. Mmm Biscotti and a creamy coffee Drooolingly 🤤 Delicious. O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, what culinary delights have you for me... On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a tin of freshly baked Biscotti. I'm dreaming of some White Christmas..🤤 Cheekyricho, The one thing I really look forward to is cutting out a thick chunk of ham and throwing it on the BBQ to make a 'propper' Ham-burger. Delicious.. Thanks for posting your biscotti recipe. I'm sure it'll come in handy. Cheers mate. 😀👍

Hey John aren't you in a wonderful mood today? I have a really good coffee machine and its milk thingo is playing up so I've been making espressos with it and it certainly does give a lovely Crema to my little coffees. Only in the mornings though. I'm not a good sleeper and too much strong coffee doesn't really help with that. I have some flat bread rolls and I was going to make garlic bread for 2 with them in the air fryer but as I have the Ham ready to be cut, I think I'll make a proper HAMburger too. Sounds great with some spicy tomato relish or cranberry jelly. Thanks for the great suggestion and for watching. Your cheerful comment certainly made my day.....I've spent the whole morning editing a lovely viewers recipe, for Date Slice and Google seems to have eaten it somewhere between my camera and RU-vid grrrrr. I wish there was a local kindergarten kid around here that could show me how to use this computer. At this stage, the only way my viewers will see it, is if they knock on the door and come and watch it here lol. Oh well at least I'll have some morning tea to go with the movie 😂 HaHa thanks for watch and your high spirited feedback.;-))

@@CheekysKitchen How was the Ham-burger and did you get that upload sorted out.

Ham burger was spectacular John, got in late from a family Christmas Do and it was just perfect, not too heavy and I got a nice bit of colour on the ham. The rind was sticky and salty/sweet. Great idea, thanks for the suggestion. Date slice upload still stuck in limbo somewhere. It’ll probably turn up after I re-edit it, if that’s even possible because the computer is saying “unable to upload, media still referencing camera” which it’s not. It’s going to take a bit more time than I have to dedicate to it, at the moment, unfortunately! Grrrr😫😬🤯🤔🥴

@@CheekysKitchen HAMburger 👍😀. Upload 👎🤬. Speaking of not heavy, I too needed something lite on the stomach, easy to prepare and appealing to the eye. So I made an impossible quiche using the basic ingredients, but used torn pieces of Serrano ham, 1 small carrot and zucchini grated, cup of diced mushrooms, and 1 tsp of baking powder. Topped with crumbled Australian feta and halves of deseeded (squeezed) cherry tomatoes. It was delicious, lite and very fluffy. The ham melted into the quiche and no added salt was used. 😀👍🤤.

I tell you John, I’m sure you guys are getting into my head. Last week I made pretty well what you just described except I added a small handful of baby spinach and sprinkled Parmesan and paprika on top. I had a half a jar of cream I wanted to use so that went in too. About a tablespoon of SR Flour, in age goes but no grated carrot, that was in the salad to accompany it. Half of it was hot for dinner and the other half was cold with home made coleslaw in the camper the following lunchtime. As it was cooking Richo said “Mmmm Quiche?” I said “it’s not really a Quiche and it’s not really an Impossible Pie, more like an impossible quiche!” He thought that was funny but we both enjoyed it as a hot meal and a picnic alternative straight from the Camper fridge. I don’t know if you enjoy food more on a picnic or if there is just no alternative, to eat but I thought it might’ve lost some of its flavour or be a bit greasy eaten cold but it was fantastic. It wasn’t a video but I will be making it again soon. Likewise no video for the HAMburger, A full day of travelling and festive merriment with a very energetic 5 year old grandson, where everyone had to take turns at donning laser targets and running(hobbling in my case) around the house shooting each other with infrared guns. I learnt one thing though bigger, slower moving targets are much easier to shoot, lucky I wasn’t in a survival situation, my shelf life was surprisingly short, much to my young assassins delight. A great day was had by all and Santa brought Richo a Dwarf Mulberry tree, Fingerlime tree, blueberry bush and dwarf lemon tree so you can expect to see some lovely recipes using these latest additions to our mini orchard. The Lemon tree already has ping pong ball sized fruit on it, it shouldn’t be too long.🍋

Thank you Klara, the dairy is no good for you but they did smell great when they were cooking. I’m not a biscuit or cake eater generally but I didn’t have to find a container for the pointy end bits lol.🌸thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.;-))

@@CheekysKitchen I can eat butter and can replace cow’s milk with an alternative and we are good to go! The wheat flour is a more interesting challenge however. They do still look great!

I thought they may be a bit carby too. One or two little slices with a drink or one of your delicious coffees, it’s a Treat for Christmas, after all. I normally make glacé fruit bread and almond crisp biscotti but things are scaled down a bit this year. Nobody coming until the 26th and then Only a couple of days. Wont even Have a 🌲 have only a couple of weeks to strip the house out. I wish it was February already. Lol Bet your street party was a blast, loved your Chrissy tree platter. So good. Your kitchen would’ve been filled with that gorgeous baking aroma, one of my favourite fragrances as you know.;-))

Wow, thank you! David, I had to make something without nuts this time. This is really easy and makes a huge batch, enough for the whole neighbourhood. The chocolate chips were a nice touch without being overpowering. I regularly make your scones, my Mum loves scones and I send some home with her sometimes, to have later. This comment stayed, I'm so glad. You boys had me worrying about you both. Thanks for the lovely feedback and for watching.;-)) 🥰👍😋👌🎄💐🥂🙏🏻

How long does it keep in the air tight container? Thanks!
@CheekysKitchen
@CheekysKitchen 2 месяца назад
Thanks for the question. This freezes well and will keep for a couple of weeks in a cool dark place in a container. If you are living in a hot humid environment I would recommend storing in the fridge. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.;-))
