Hi there. This is 'mommie-kins' and I was just a checking in on you again. Just seeing how everything is going for you now. I'm not sure as to where you're at in the world, but I hope that your weather is holding out nicely for you as the seasons change as time marches onward as it always does. God Bless

Hello there mommie-kins. Thanks for checking in on us. On the 28 February, 2023. We were hit by a massive 1 in 500 year flood. Almost 10’ or 3 metres of raging mud and chemical laden filthy flood water raged through the house. We were rescue by a couple of brave young men in a tiny little boat with our 2 little dogs and taken to safety. We slept in and empty van on cardboard for a week, with no food or sanitation. Drowned animals lay dead all around us, it was the height of summer here in eastern Australia. We had full house insurance but no flood insurance so the clean up and substantial loss has be horrific, draining and traumatic. I lost most of my camera, computer and lighting equipment, furniture, tools, craft supplies, camping gear, sporting equipment, appliances along with all my Person papers, photos and memories. We are a tiny community of 500 people, most people are leaving it never came back. The rebuild has been expensive and difficult with the extreme shortage of supplies and skilled tradespeople. We are well otherwise. I am still cooking regularly , several times each week I bake and prepare food for the flood victims and their families, (I just don’t film it, the quantities are too large, many meals are the same ones I have already shared on my channel and I simply don’t have time or energy to film, edit and upload). We have community dinners and some activity days where people can obtain food, clothing, linen, medicines and most importantly support. The weather has been unseasonably warm over winter with little rain. Although we lost most of our garden and fruit trees in the flood this warm dry winter has not allowed the garden to recover either. The hardest thing for me as an animal lover to recover from was witnessing the terrified exhausted animals trying to survive before eventually succumbing to their death. I was unable to help them as they swept past, some were caught high up in trees injured and had to be destroyed. It was estimated 60,000 head of livestock in this small rural area alone perished that night. Crops, native and domestic animals, people’s livelihoods, homes, property, vehicles and businesses were all lost.schools have been permanently closed and children are forced to travel to different distant schools away from their friends and routines. I will return and look forward to reconnected with all of my delightful RU-vid friends and audience. It’s just a very unpleasant, un expected and unprecedented experience which has forced the temporary pause in my regular channel uploads. I truly apologise for my sudden disappearance but am very much looking forward to returning with as much enthusiasm and happiness as I have tried to display in the past. I hope you will still enjoy my recipes and quirky little ideas and tips when that day arrives. Thanks so much for your best wishes, continued support and kind thoughts and from my family to yours may God Bless you with good health, much joy and happiness. Very warmest regards Cheeky & Richo Your Aussie RU-vid friend Downunder 🥰🙏🏻😋

Thank you very much Happy Thanksgiving to You also. Our house has been restored and is presently on the market . Richo has had a few stints in hospital of late, the drawbacks of getting older I’m afraid. We have one quite involved in a local community based resilience program to assist people get back on their feet post flood. It’s been a long hard expensive road but I’d like to think we have come out the other end of a difficult couple of years stronger and more compassionate. I hope you and your family are safe and well and enjoyed a lovely thanksgiving as I believe we all have much to Be thankful for. May God Bless you also and keep you safe, loved and healthy.;-))🙏🏻🥰💐

Just found your channel - RU-vid decided that I need piemaker videos. :) I've been binge-watching and really enjoying from Boston. Fun fact, the bulk of my extended family lives in Perth, my father grew up in Melbourne, and there are some scattered in the greater Sydney area. Might be a little Oz blood in me. :)

Aww 🙏🏻 thank you. My kids used to bring me breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day. Not easy eating with a little vase of flower buds from our garden, hot coffee, juice and whatever they prepared sitting up in a waterbed in those days with them jumping about in the bed all excited about some home made treasure they had made at school for me but I wouldn’t swap it for the world. Hi there Blue arose, thanks for the great feedback, welcome aboard, hope you enjoy our little food journey. Thanks for watching. Before Covid we went to Hawaii a couple of times on a cruise ship. Hired a car in Maui and drove right around the island. Went to a pearl Harbour and got suckered into a long drawn out pearl shop demonstration. You live in a very pretty part of the world. I first went there in 1985 and snorkelled at Hanawama ? Bay feed the local fish with frozen peas. It was a great holiday, luau, drank blue hawaiis and maithais. It was my birthday and 63 drunk strangers on the bus sang Happy Birthday to me. Yes I have fond memories of your state. Lol Thanks for watching.;-))

Afternoon Cheekyricho. Well it is nice to see you have uploaded a video. A quiet novel way to prepare a breakfast. It did look good presented on the serving board. Richo must've been delighted. I would skip the tomato for a couple of keto mini pancakes. Cheers for the ideas 👍😀🤤 Take care now.

Thank you for your kind words John. I just find these little pie makers and sausage roll Makes do satisfying to experiment with. The fact you can make 1 or 4 pies or whatever’s is handy. I do like these little serving paddles too, they are handy for drinks, cheeses, fruit and nuts. Great in the centre of a table at a BBQ and you can wander around with it in one hand sharing and your drink in another or have one hand free to open doors, use hand rails or walking aids. Pretty cheap to buy, don’t break or take up much space, just brilliant. Richo doesn’t like his eggs ‘snotty’ as he calls it but I like mine with a soft yolk. The pie maker steams them a bit as it’s cooking almost like they are poached or steamed. Glad you enjoyed my breakfast idea and thanks for watching. I’m glad I got a chance today to share this one, had planned to let it loose for the 14th but Hey, better late than never. Lol Have a great weekend John and see what I can bring out after the weekend. 🤔🤗

Thank you very much. No more bacon spatter all over the kitchen and you can serve it altogether without having to keep things hot. It’s just that quick. Give the pie maker fast wipe out with damp paper towel and the kitchen is clean. Do the Bacon first, it will keep hot the longest and provides the lovely flavour for the potatoes and eggs. Breaks in a wink. Don’t you just 🥰 appliances that can multitask???🤗🤣 Thanks for watching and the awesome feedback.;-))

Thank you mommie- -kins, we have missed our uploads and interaction with with our lovely audience. Experienced a pretty bad year in 2022 on all fronts, lost a dear RU-vid friend to cancer , had a couple of emergency operations ourselves. Three metres(around ten feet) of flood water ravaged through the house and destroyed everything it touched, what the river didn’t take, the looters helped themselves to, by boat, whilst we were evacuated, sleeping in our car with our little dogs. They took all my video gear, tripods, lighting, kitchen gear that had all been lifted to high ground for safety. Lost my Motorhome etc etc. evacuated 28 days later for another unprecedented flood the day I tested positive to Covid that was home delivered. Richo’s sister passed away and we welcomed a prematurely born grand daughter to the family who had a pretty rough start to life due to her early arrival, we still joke about her being the only thing my daughter has ever been early for in her life. The house is slowly getting back to normal, whilst we were fully insured nothing is covered for flood damage so money has been very tight whilst we rebuild our lives, our house and replace furniture and fixtures. So many people are so much worse off, unable to return to their destroyed homes, living in tents, caravans or couch surfing until their situation can be improved or resolved. I have still been cooking like crazy, several times every week, for more than a year and donating food and meals to 3 local community resilience centres to feed people who lost everything. No time to video or edit, no camera to use now anyway and filling the bellies of traumatised neighbours, with nourishing home cooked comfort food, has taken precedence over my channel. We will be back, soon I hope, Richo bought me a new camera, he knew I wasn’t coping very well with the loss of my treasures and gear . Pretty much everything thing of sentimental value, to me, ended up in a muddy mountain in the street bound for the dump. Every photo, personal Papers, hand made things, gifts from people no longer with us, hundreds of cooking books, thousands of DVDs and cds from my private collection all gone. We miss you too, our lovely chats, learning from each other and sharing ideas and experiences. The wonderful support and kind words and prayers have kept us going, lifted our spirits and given us the strength to overcome and recover. You can never know how much that means to us and how helpful and uplifting that has been. We are doing much better and hope you and your loved ones and people you care about are all safe and well . May God Bless you also and thank you so very very much for thinking of us and caring with such a kind heart. 🙏🏻🥰 All the best from Cheeky & Richo

Hi* My Friend*_Have been thinking of YOU*___David &/Alex.
@CheekysKitchen
@CheekysKitchen Год назад
Oh David and Alex, thanks so much for your kind message. 2022 hasn’t been my best year. From an emergency gall bladder removal to Covid. Our house suffered a massive flood, 2.65m of raging water rushed through the house. We were evacuated twice. Richo’s sister passed away. I had spinal surgery and developed a Dural Leak which kept me in hospital for over a week. My car was written off in the flood and the house and contents was destroyed. Some one broke into my flooded house and stole my video camera, sound equipment and tools. As I have been unable to make videos I have been baking several times each week for various resilience hubs to feed other flood victims. I’m lucky my main kitchen was spared but my downstairs kitchen was ripped apart by well Meaning helpers. It can’t be used at the moment and all the ceilings and doors are slowly being replaced in between more rain and wrestles with the insurance company. My beautiful river that has given me so much solace and calm for more than 20 years….. this year ripped my heart out twice. I will never trust it again. I could quite happily walk away from it and not look back. My pain levels have been extreme and unrelenting, it has given me so much grief, everyday things are a real challenge. I think of you boys often and hope you are coping well. Everyone thought last year was a corker, this year has left that for dead. I can’t wait for it to be over. I hope you have been able to find some reliable medical Help and life is treating you well. Richo bought me another video camera but I’m waiting on a part for my tripod from USA, I’m hoping to get back into my channel very soon, just as soon as my tripod mount arrives.I miss my cooking, my uploading, my wonderful RU-vid friends and all the supportive interaction that has been a big part of my life for over a decade. My fellow flood victims have needed my support just as much as we have needed theirs. I will keep you posted when I am back on deck. I have a lot of catching up to do. Take care of each other and please know your message means the absolute world to us. Massive Hugs from the other side of the country. Cheeky and Richo 💕🙏🏻🥰👍😋

Oh My Goodness David and Alex, your kind words have meant the very world to us especially me. With all the heartache your family is enduring you still find time for compassion for others. I am so sorry to hear about your anguish regarding both yours and other family members health, you must’ve felt so helpless being so far from your east coast brother in his time if need, what good news about his cancer being in remission but such a frightening blow to hear of his recent issue, please wish him a full and speedy recovery from us. I had a particularly blue day yesterday, Richo and I have been installing new ceilings in the house after the flood ripped them Out. It is very difficult work for a couple of old chooks. Plaster dust permeates every nook and cranny and is very slippery to walk on. Richo has had a couple of falls from ladders and trestles etc. not from more than about 2 feet but knocked him about just the same. His sister died just short of her eightieth birthday from lung cancer, heart disease and dementia. Her decline was sudden and severe, the worst part was watching her mind decline. She is no longer in pain and hopefully resting in peace. She lived a very independent active life and seeing her confined to a nursing home for her last few months was particularly difficult. We have been able to find a loving home for little cat but her beautiful garden, her absolute pride and joy, is a sad shadow of its former self. I’m glad you have found my words of encouragement a source of comfort in the past. I do worry about you boys and just because I have been absent from RU-vid, doesn’t mean I have stopped caring. My cooking has largely been confined to feeding masses of displaced flood victims of late. 2-3 times each week I have been making bulk batches of meals and desserts to nourish and contribute to the resilience and recovery effort at a couple of different community support centres. It has helped heal the hearts and souls of shattered lives as we travel through this dreadfully taxing catastrophe. In the past I have been so optimistic about travelling over to the west and meeting you in person but I fear now that may be just a pipe dream given recent events. My hope and ambitions have taken a hammering of late and I am such an optimistic person, always looking for the silver lining in every dark cloud but I just said to Richo the other day “2022 would’ve truly broken much stronger people than me.” And I honestly don’t know how I have managed. We are going to lunch with a family “the Hill folk” who helped us when we were evacuated from home for a week during the first flood. We took a car to high ground and slept in it with our little dogs until the flood receded enough to return home. She is the sweetest little lady and it was her husbands 51st birthday yesterday so we will be joining them for a belated birthday luncheon on the weekend. I will bake something with love to show my gratitude to them for their kindness. Yesterday my camera tripod part arrived from USA, it was stolen, from inside my house, after the flood along with my video camera, remote and sound equipment. I believe I know who took it but the police refuse to prosecute. Richo has bought me another camera so I will have to learn how to use this different model, please be patient with me as I try to reignite my RU-vid passion with unfamiliar equipment, damaged enthusiasm and less cooking gear and appliances. Your continued projected optimism despite such ongoing hardship has really been an inspiration to me and I have learnt so much from you both. I hope you continue to make good progress, benefit from much better health and continue to love, care for and support each other. You guys are awesome and I don’t know what I would be without you. Much Love, best wishes and virtual hugs from Both Richo and I 🥰🙏🏻💕👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏼 🌈 🌈🌈🌈🌞💐🌟

I did have one question with all this untamed usage of a pie maker. What are the cleaning issues like?
@CheekysKitchen
@CheekysKitchen Год назад
Excellent question. The pie makers and sausage roll makers have an excellent non stick coating which makes cleaning a breeze a simple wipe out with a damp dish cloth before it’s completely cool is all it needs. Any residual heat after it’s wipe will dry the surface to brand new condition. I have used baking paper to cook in or cover the tops of things also. This facilitates easy removal for crustless quiches or impossible pies. Cinnamon or cheese sprinkle on top of things (despite oiling) does tend to occasionally separate from the pie top but the baking paper totally prevents this. Allows even browning and cooking with fuss or affecting presentation. If you get a boil over like jam or fruit and the fruit or sugars cooks onto the surface or in your haste to start eating you fail to wipe it clean then a piece of thoroughly wetted with water, paper towel, placed in the pie maker in a layer. Turn back on for a minute or two will turn to steam and clean the pie maker. Allow it to cool, switched off for a few minutes and simple wipe clean and allow to air dry, switched off and in the open position. No more cleaning the oven for me. Messy foods and leftovers always go in the pie maker or sausage roll maker. Hope that helps and thanks for watching. I hope you enjoy your pie maker as much as I have for the last 4 decades.;-))

Hi I watched your videos with Cook4me and am thinking of getting one I’m in UK someone also recommended the Ninja which you’ve used Please which electric pressure cooker would you recommend thanks
@CheekysKitchen
@CheekysKitchen 2 года назад
You are quite right millimaie, I own both, and early model cook for me. The pluses, outstanding non stick surface, extremely durable. The newer models have wifi connection capability I believe but mine doesn’t and I probably wouldn’t use it anyway. It has recipes built in, you can select a meal, select the portion sizes and it guides you through the entire recipe. A very awesome feature for newbies to both pressure cookers and particular recipes. Works extremely well. Easy to clean, not too heavy and takes up about as much real estate as a large pot. The minus is…. It doesn’t brown at all. The great news is you can buy an accessory for it called a crisper lid, which does brown, not cheap but it have it on great authority that is works very well. The ninja Foodi I have both the grill, the original Foodi and the recent large one. The non stick coating doesn’t seem as durable as theC4Me, even using soft non stick tools a chop bone will mark it. No guided recipes but more versatility with steaming, air frying and roasting as well as pressure cooking. The newer larger model has yoghurt and dehydrator function as well as a basket for air frying chips etc. I find the larger model doesn’t cook as quickly as the earlier smaller 300 model. I guess it comes down to price, space, your experience with either or both companies, warranty, accessories available, your personal Preference and level of cooking expertise . Having used both extensively and having no experience the the Tefal crisper lid, may even up the comparison, whereas the ninja comes with a crisper lid which may even the comparison out I would clean toward the ninja for its versatility and available kitchen space. There c4me is excellent for wat it does but the Ninja does more without a compromise. I hope that helps and thanks for you question

Hi Cheekyricho. It's been a while. Are you OK? We've been thinking about you...😊
@CheekysKitchen
@CheekysKitchen 2 года назад
Hi John , yes it has been a long while. Unfortunately we live in one of the areas worst hit by the the floods. The house is built higher than the 1 in 100 year highest flood level and it went into the house up to the top storey. It destroyed everything, hundreds of my treasures cook books, crystal ware, antiques, pool table, full suzed air hockey table and thousands of dollars worth of tools less than 6 months old. Richo had just given his perfectly good used tools to his son who has being doing lots of renovating lately and re outfitted his garage with all new gear. Bought Dewalt stuff and said that would be the last tools he would ever buy. We put them up high near the ceiling being what we thought was overly cautious and lost the lot. 2 freezers, 3 fridges, a brand new dishwasher Miele washing machine and dryer. After a terrifying night of bievining I would drown in my bed, my beautiful river turned into a raging torrent, with huge white capped waves and sounded like heavy surf. We were rescued from the top floor, by boat, by a couple of young men volunteers. The police rescue squad with all their fancy gear deemed it too dangerous to save us., they later directed residents to evacuate immediately or face a heavy fine and leave their pets behind to drown. We escaped with our little dogs the next day and taken to a hill where we had parked our empty van, with a change of clothes, medications and 1 can of dog food. Richo slept on cardboard for a week and I slept on the base of a bed ensemble, which happened to be in the van from. A moving project the day before. We couldnt get home and emergency food drops were made to the Hill. No water, no power and no flood insurance. We had no way of knowing what we would face when we returned to our little paradise. We lost our Motorhome and everything in it. The army and airforce came to help after a week. The devastation on was total and overwhelming . I was completely in shock, I didn’t know where to start first, we tried to manage on our own for the first 3 days but the smell, heat, mould and slimy mud covered everything. I’d had a bad fall when the water first entered the house down the stairs and completely submerged trapped with my foot caught in the stairs, forcing my head under the raw sewage and muddy river water. Richo saved me and cleaned me up and I fully expected to get quite sick from my dunking. A thorough cleaning with disinfectant soap and I was fine except for a badly bruised and swollen ankle. We made a start in cleaning up the mess when exactly 4 weeks later we were evacuated again because of another flood, not so deep this time but, still cut off from the rest of the world. the stench of dead animals and rotting vegetation was overpowering. This time we both contracted Covid, double vaxxed, so extra careful and didn’t leave the house until the 2nd evacuation because we had no front or back doors, windows were missing and broken. I lost computer gear, so much camera stuff, lots of cards with ready to edit recipes and product reviews. To say I was depressed is an understatement, something happened to my ability to think and reason . I was sick, tired, had taken a massive financial hit and faced with another massive cleanup that hadn’t even been completed the first time. We were filthy, exhausted and utterly lost. No power, no water, when it was restored the hot water service didn’t work so cold showers for 3 weeks, our lovely neighbour had a make shift tiny HWS installed by her builder son and allowed us to at least have a hot shower . There no way to secure the house, worried about looters , the house groaning and creaking as it settled to its pre flooded state. Still no doors front and back, mosquito’s came inside in droves. Today we threw out 3 wheels bins filled with brand new unused tools, batteries, electrical gear. This happens 2 or 3 times a week . Entire kitchens, walls, ceilings, wardrobes, cabinets, white goods, pesticides, freezers filled with rotten food, camping gear everything. Photos, memories and life long treasures gone. It’s been heartbreaking. Volunteers have travelled for hours and hours , from interstate and nearby to bring meals, cleaning equipment, help and hugs. They worked so hard and were so kind, self less and compassionate. I thought I was handling it when this lady from 300kms away pulled into my driveway. I was sitting on an esky in my front yard in shock at the massive pile of belongings, mine and others on the street. My neighbour had just put in a new kitchen for Christmas and it was destroyed. I hadn’t eaten in 24 hours and didn’t realise it. This lady , Sue asked me if I wanted hot food. I couldn’t talk, I hadn’t thought about food. Richo west out to see her and she had a hot box filled with meals she had spent all night preparing at her own expense and delivered to helpers and flood victims. I tried to say Thank you but I couldn’t talk, she saw I was in trouble and hugged me right and said “you’re not alone we will help you through this, we are here for you.” I cried so hard and she just held me. She introduced herself and said her Husband, Dion would be back tomorrow to help. Sue and her friend Eva delivered meals to everyone in our street and drove home to do it all again. Dion took time off work to help and he camped in the street in his horse trailer with a young family friend Sienna. That little 16?year ok’d girl worked from daylight to dark, with a smile for everyone.. she sat down on the floor of the horse trailer in the middle of the day to get away from the mud and smell and fell sleep On the step. Her hands were blistered and bruised from shovelling mud, squishing out water and helps collect treasures from the muck for me to save. The night we were evacuated the second time Eva called me and said she was going to bring food and help but we had left the house, it was flooded and isolated, our little village of 460 population was a ghost town again. I couldn’t believe my beloved river would attack us again. It was even worse this time I had Covid . Then Richo caught it. He took me to a house close to a Hospital because I suffer from asthma and he was fearful Of my lungs coping if we were unable to get medical help. Back in the flooded house again, washing the most stubborn mud off windows, walls, inside and out. The house stinks of filthy wet washing and mould is growing on everything despite our best efforts to scrub and air out the house . It has rained everyday since the 28th February. We have had 3 huge brown snakes try to get into the house, cane toads cone and go as they please. Massive spiders and ants all heading to higher ground…… inside the house. John all of my worse nightmares rolled into 2022, losing my dear RU-vid friend to cancer in January, my gall bladder operation shortly after and barely recovered from that and 2 record breaking floods (one exceeded the previous highest ever recorded height by 3 metres) to ravage the community in February and march. I cant even get into my office at the moment, hurriedly carried vulnerable items are packed to the roof. This soul destroying event has taken its toll and I honestly can’t say when I will get back to my joy and passion of cooking and sharing with my lovely supportive viewers , such as yourself. If only the flood fairies would rebuild the damaged house, keep cleaning out the workshop and garage, repair Richo’s mini orchard and decimated garden and let me escape into my kitchen to lose myself in some intricate recipe to soothe my sadness and create something tasty and comforting. Hang in there for me John, I have missed you too. Getting back to my RU-vid routine will be healing and helpful and signify my survival of what must be one of the worst periods of my life. Gosh , I’ve laid my soul bare here, haven’t I ? Didn’t actually mean to burden you with all this but I think you would agree this situation has been ample reason for my forced absence. I hope you are safe, warm and dry, where you live and you never have to experience or witness Mother Natures wrath. Thank you for your kind thoughts and checking in on me/us. My voice is still a bit dodgy from Covid so it will still be a little while before life returns to normal for our little town. I look forward to that day. Bless your kind heart John. Warmest regards Cheeky & Richo Flood Refugees 2.0

@@CheekysKitchen Hi. I cannot even begin to imagine what you've both been through and how this has impacted your lives. This is so sad for you and your community, your livelyhoods and treasured belongings trashed and washed away. I really do feel for you and have prayed for you both. You do need a dose of Jesus right now to give you rest from this burdon. When you have a lot to loose, you loose a lot even though it's material possessions. You're both so fortunate to have each other to help one another in comfort and in sorrow. Your lives were spared. How heartbreaking your world is no longer what you knew so well. I've always thought of you as being confident, so a new beginning might seem far away from its completion but I'm sure you will succeed in each and every way. Be of good cheer, keep your chin up and remember to laugh and smile regularly even if it hurts to do so. Somewhere in this tragedy there are Blessings and new beginnings for all if you believe there is. The world has become a very uncertain place to live in for everyone. Covid hasn't changed God's unconditional love for us or has it changed his concern for our tragedies. We need him in the midst of these days of ever increasing darkness and things to come. Please don't be afraid or hesitate his hand in your lives. He knows you better than you know yourself. Want's are worthless when needs abound. My thoughts are with you and richo, that you find peace and recover from this momentous life changing event. One step at a time, one day at a time. 😊 Thank you God for those who gave their time and finances to help and support you through those desperate days. God bless you Cheeky and Richo. John. I'll keep watch for your return when you're ready to do so.

I somehow missed this reply John, 2022 has not been kind. From health issues, battles with insurance companies, losing our beloved campervan we built to all the things that held such sentimental value. The ceilings are mostly back in the house, the yards are a mess, broken glass and screws and nails keep working their way to the top of the lawn after being rammed into it by earth moving and rubbish clearing heavy machinery. Looters were a problem as if we hadn’t been dealt a big enough blow. I will never feel safe there again. It doesn’t feel like home and my friends and family have been quite worried about me, I’ve changed, nothing is the same to me. It’s not just me, families are leaving in droves, others are coming out of retirement to fix their homes. Nice comfy homes are condemned and their owners are living in caravans and make shift shedding in their yards. The support has been amazing. We have been gifted food, linen, fresh vegetables and been involved in cooking several times each week for months for various resilience hubs and community centres. My food prep experience has come in very handy to help feed people less fortunate and still suffering. I know in my heart we are among the lucky ones and I do feel guilty for not coping very well, it’s not survivors guilt it’s just that I don’t feel entitled to be so sad, especially since I still have much to be grateful for. I haven’t lost my faith but I feel it has been sorely tested this year. I am hopeful that 2023 brings fresh new beginnings and less grief and sense of loss. My video camera and other valuable gear was stolen from inside my house, at 6.15 pm one night I caught a person inside my house and reported it to the police but they refused to act upon it as the person claimed to be there to assist. The house was completely and totally gutted, it’s entire contents were out in the street, the house looked empty and was visibly cleaned out from the outside of the property and no vehicles in the driveway. Window coverings and missing doors clearly displayed it’s cleaned and vacant condition. The local police failed us again, eye witness, positive ID and admission of unlawful entry, by the offender, through a closed door and no action. Yep that Instills confidence alright!!!! Sometimes it’s just hard to get up in the morning and I look for any reason to not come back to the place that I was proud to call home. I didn’t intend to do this again to you. I am truly grateful for your kind and compassionate support. I hope you had a lovely Christmas, surrounded by loved ones, laughter and fabulicious food. Richo bought me a new video camera, I still haven’t unpacked it to use but hopefully it will make some lovely videos of food and recipes I want to share with my kind audience that I miss terribly. Stay safe and well and please forgive my late reply. Take care and I pray 2023 brings you good health, great memories and abundance prosperity. Your RU-vid friends Cheeky & Richo

Thank you very much, we are doing much better, we have had incredible support and our little community has rallied together to assist each and share help, ideas, information and comfort. It’s been an incredibly tough year with numerous setbacks on so many levels, any one or two would’ve been bad enough but to come in such consistent waves of disaster and disappointment there is no time to recover before being knocked down again. Your kind support and thoughts are very much appreciated and we are so grateful for you taking the time to send such compassion our way. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and 2023 brings you much joy, great health and happiness. Be kind to each other and thank you for thinking of us. My video camera, tripods etc were stolen after the flood, Richo bought me a new one and my return to filming and uploading will help me heal and put the past well and truly where it belongs…. Far behind us. Bless your kind heart Cheeky & Richo
