I travelled to almost 70 countries in the world and Kyrgys people are the most hospitable people I have ever seen. They will give the best to their guests and visitors, they will share with you even the last piece of bread,which you rarely see nowadays. I just love Kyrgystan, hope they will have a good future soon.

I was in Bishkek about 14 years ago myself. It does look a lot brighter and more culturally open than my last visit. Personally, I loved it. I didn't really get to freelance though, as all my tours in the city and outside of it were structured military tours. But I developed a good relationship with a few of our interpreters/guides and I feel I got a richer experience from it. In fact those local interpreters seemed to love Kyrgyzstan. One that I kept in touch with married a Brit and moved to England, but she still misses Kyrgyzstan and its beauty. You are doing a great job highlighting the scenery and culture with an open mind. And by gosh man, get yourself a pair of those pointy-toed wool slippers. They are great! I wore mine until they were nearly disintegrating. Cheers!

Nice video bro. I wanna say something =) Soviet bulding materials are not shit )) It was produced in very high quality, cuz goverment had really controlled all production on plants and factories. In modern ex-USSR republics and especially in Kyrgyzstan u can build any building using shit and low quality materials without any control. Most citizens prefer to live in old Soviet houses instead of modern houses. Because of quality. This circys was built almost 50 years ago. Without any modernisation since that time. 50 YEARS without any repairs ! And yes, this circys is working. Quiet wild 16 years ago ?) I don't think so. Maybe I agree with the roads. Yes, roads were terrible 16 years ago. And yes we had NO so many malls, cinemas, modern buildings etc. back in the days. But we had the most green city in USSR. I mean parks, trees, plants, flowers. The most green city in USSR is Bishkek (Frunze). Unfortunately, in independent Kyrgyzstan people (politics and businessmen) prefer to build more and more trade centers, malls and restaurants. Cut down the park and then build another one modern trade center. Destroy sport stadium to build "Asia Mall". This is a deal. Just a business. Prices on Osh bazaar is really lower then on markets. In Bishkek people speak mostly russian. Outside Bishkek kyrgyz is the 1st language. But many people know both. Peace. P.S. My english isn't perfect :D

Molodaya Gvardiga and Bokon bayeva…..breakfast at Fatboys on Chui....lunch at Navigators …..dancing at Golden Bull and a friend of Johnny's...….underground at Old Edgars Place...….shopping the Dordoi bazaar......fav dining at 12 Chimneys......and long weekends on Issyk Kul......

Мой родител уехали в штаты 1987 гаду,мне било 6 льет,родился ия на Исыкуле,отьец приехал на Исыкуль в 2007 гаду,болше не ездыл.Мы с дэтьми приехал в 2016 гаду,к папинами родственикам на мэсяц.Мнэ не очен нравился KR,много хотьят $$$,хотьят жить красиво,богато,лучше чэм другой родственик и сосед,все хотят быт асобеный.Ия радился на Исыккуле в село "Долинка",много фотографи пансионата РОХАТ,АЛТЫНКУЛ,БЭРМЭТ(1983-1987).Помнил дэтство,гулял,папа плакаль.Всьем ПРИВЬЕТ from Florida!!!Льюблю-скучьяю.Russel Dolinskiy.

@@ibragimanderson2908 , соглашусь, но только частично. Так как сомневаюсь, что вы были в дальнем зарубежье. В Бишкеке намного безопаснее чем в Сан Пауло, Мехико CDMX, Аталнте, Шарлотт. Намного меньше попрошаек и скамеров чем в Индии, Китае, Турции. Это лишь моё наблюдение и моих друзей иностранцев. В Бишкеке бедно, грязно, но очень комфортно и относительно безопасно, проблемы могут возникнуть лишь со стороны полицейских. В целом народ очень милый, добрый. Те же мамбеты, если попросить помочь, помогут.

Приехал в страну третьего мира - и такой вауу, здесь умеют читать, не видно трущоб, да ко всему еще бесплатное образование в школах ( "ужасное наследие СССР"). И думает, ну как так то?-мы приложили столько сил : загнали сюда спец агентов (волонтеров), внедрили нацбанк , который подчиняется МВФ, втюхали повсеместно кредитование (неподъемное), откачиваем и вывозим все ресурсы и недра , что за дела, как же они выживают , умеют читать, думать, радоваться..? непорядок!

Wonderful! Great video once again Peter! More Westerners need to see these videos, to witness the common humanity of us all. I'm not fooled by the mainstream medias' negative portrayals of non-Western countries, but I feel that most people are swayed by the constant barrage of unfavourable representations on our medias. Videos like these are an antidote to the "others bashing" that is all too pervasive in our Western countries' communications. Keep these coming.

Хотя на самом деле недолго радоваться и мыслить нам осталось, номерки уже почти всем раздали (идентификационные номера вместо ПАСПОРТА ), биометрию взяли, лишили нас статуса ЧЕЛОВЕК ! А НАРОД все смотрит на театр, который нам показывает правительство (это и громкие задержания, и сажание в тюрьму чинуш, и т д ), незамечая ГЛАВНОГО ОБМАНА !

Peter, just let me say about Bishkek a bit more. Bishkek has many parks and squares, and mostly they located in the center, so it is started from the Square of Victory near to the Circle, where you were. The Square of Victory you can recognize buy Yourt monument with immortal fire in the center, if you go to the West from Square of Victory then you will get park. The name of the park is Theater Park with small square and big theater, after crossing the road in the West you will get another park, park of art (because near to the museum of art). Go to the west and you will get the Oaks park. Just follow to the west, and you get park and square of Government House (not White House) with Lenin monument (you were there), continue go to the West, and you get Panfilov parks (you were there too), follow west through tennis court and you get another park (Gorkiy Park) behind Sport palace, after Gorkiy Park you rich Filarmonia with parks around (you were there too). That is the one park continues another park/square and so on. The distance of all of this (from beginning till the end) approximately 1.5-2 km with width 400 meters. Another parks in the top of Bishkek, close to hills, Park of Batkens warrior and Alaarcha park (you saw it, I think so). Also it is good to visit ethnic-museum Park Supara-2 (not Supara-1, Supara-1 it is good ethnic restaurant). What else, we have two Bottanic parks (to big to walk there), and Koragacheva rosha with two small likes (Pioneer and Comsomol). Also interesting to visit Hot sources Ulai-hotel in Issikata (swimming pool on mountains with mineral water). Also nice to walk in Gavai park (near Tokmok town). Of course will be very interesting to visit the serpentine TooAshu (the road to the South, for example to Osh).

Dude, they are mostly not parks. They are just a few trees around the squares and buildings. I know you love Bishkek but we should be honest. We do not have any big parks in the city.

Whole parks has length 1.5-2 km and width 400 meters (from Square of Victory till the Philharmonic Society, and pass through Theater Park, Art Patrk, Oak Park, Government Park, Panfilov Park, Gorkiy Park, one by one in sequence, is it not big, dude?

@@ossa5050 They are not parks. They are just parts of the city. A park is a place where people usually walk through trees and plants. So, only 2-3 places are can be considered as parks in your list: Panfilov, Erkindik and Oak Park. The other ones are just parts of the city with few trees, benches and buildings.

hey peter, I don't know if you've been to (east) Germany like Frankfurt (Oder) before but many buildings in this video have similarities to the former soviet buildings in (east) Germany. Also the condition of the streets and this dilapidated appearance reminds me very much of (east) Germany. is perhaps due to the Soviet influence of the post-war period. Best regards
