This idea that Biblical Anthropology that Bishop Barron talks has become very important to me. I was raised as a strict Fundamentalist. Our view of the body was kind of split. On one hand we were very suspicious of it. We should suppress the body. I remember each year during haying as a teenager we would work 14 hours a day in the hot sun. Sometimes I would drink three gallons of water. When I came out to the field at 7AM instead of 6:30AM my father said he was ashamed of me. When we drove by the gold course, my father would become visibly angry. All those bankers and professional people "wasting time and money" he would say. I remember thinking it would be fun to walk around on that nice green grass and visiting friends. We had kind of a strict diet with foods labeled as good foods and bad foods. Alcohol was strictly prohibited as was dancing. Even at Church things were kind of drab. No big pictures, lively music was suspicious. No beautiful windows. Just square clear glass. The teachers at the school called the church we went to (The Community Church) the "Community Cult." And they were not far from the truth. When I was 40 years old, the son of one of my friends in that Church was preaching. He had left our town and went to the city and earned his doctorate and taught philosophy at a well known Christian college. He converted to Anglicanism and he said he cried at his first communion where he believed in the Real Presence. The concern that he expressed to the congregation was that we were not avoiding Gnosticism. I don't think many in the congregation knew what he was talking about. But he was really talking about Biblical Anthropology like Bishop Barron did in the video. Many Christians think only the spiritual part of us is important. The physical is neglected and suppressed. God is only concerned about our spiritual life but our physical body is part of our being too. God made us from the dust of the earth (physical part) and the breath of life (spiritual part). Overwork, over regimentation, failing to appreciate creation and beauty.... all these things are a show a disrespect for the needs of the body. And a lack of acknowledgement that the body is part of who we really are.

He forgotten jesus said as it was in the day of noah and of Sodom. He came with a sword to divide families and people. Sure man mate caused the fall.so how can you relate to now.he just want to do his office as a bishop. That's the Catholic dogmatic mentality.

Maybe not . But the reality is that in this day and age many just do not find a 'suitable' mate for many reasons among them disability or other challenges . And the family of origin may not have been a good model especially if a parent went to war and came back with some trauma. What the Lord provides us with is 'purpose ' and marriage is only one form it can take. There used to be a wider understanding of vocation than marriage or religious life in the Catholic tradition. It is unfortunate that recently this notion of a vocation to the single life has been lost. And while pursuit of a family may be suitable for some, it is still the individual that requires a better Christian focus for how selfhood and Christian purpose unfolds. In the old testament there was a blessing for everything but individuals who are best suited to a single life do not even have recognition of it as a worthy vocation anymore, let alone any blessing to live it with Grace. There is far too much focus on family and not a lot of Catholic support to live it out . The family requires a community of shared values . The individual cannot thrive without the same kind of supports. However when the individual becomes recognized as worthy of a vocation and the pressures are taken off to find a suitable mate, then there is room for everyone and not just the dynamic that is not always possible in a broken world ! 'Proper' needs to be replaced with purposeful !

Talking about what God’s plan for me, how would I know if the man I have married is the one God has planned for me. I have married a non- Catholic, soon after my faith lapsed. I know is my own fault, but if God has planned for me a Catholic husband, I believe my marriage life and faith will be better.

So Adam named everything including everything that swims in the sea? How did he come across them all? Especially the polar bears and penguins. And how did he pass the information along so everyone for all time knew what he named them and what they are? He had to draw little pictures, didn't he? And what did he draw these tens of millions of pictures on and with what? And how were they preserved? And who discovered them? When and where? Gee, Bob, you bring up so many interesting questions.

Skeptics can have a very limited view of how "truth" is conveyed in Scripture. It is ironic that often the skeptic approaches the Bible in the same way the ultra-fundamentalist does.
