Bishop Hannan vs. Trinity - 2002 

Gerry McNamara led Bishop Hannan High School to an 83-76 victory over the defending state champion, Trinity High School, in the 2002 PIAA Class AA Eastern final. McNamara scored a career-high 55 points, including an incredible 41 in the first half, to lead the upset victory over the team that had eliminated them in the same round in the previous year's state playoffs. Bishop Hannan would go on to win the state championship 3 days later in a 70-68 win over Sto-Rox High School, led by McNamara's 32 points.
