I have so much respect for Bishop I'm really disappointed that Denise didn't have enough respect for him to sit down and talk to him. I agree. Denise is still in her feelings and, Bishop Sheard is trying to be the mediator until the sisters can get along enough to communicate. On the movie it was also revealed that Denise had an opportunity to sing on the Highly favored album. I said to myself, Denise it's clearly you and, you need to forgive and move forward.

@K J She gave 4 interviews. And if she declined her participation then what does she need to be compensated for? He says there is written proof i.e. she signed a waiver. So they were able to move forward free & clear. Maybe instead of that interview, she should've opted to use this vehicle to tell her side and been compensated for it instead. I keep reading the fact that the Bishop stepped up to ask for Denise's input and should NOT have...even AFTER the sisters and producers did but even this intercession was not enough!!. The Holy spirit intercedes on our behalf with Christ!!!. I guess that's wrong too? I think those who assume the family has hatred towards one another LIVE life in messiness. The Godly thing to do is to keep them in our prayers.

A lot has been done...I mean you bury a person's father before they could get there...yeah that's a big pill of forgiveness. Denise wasn't perfect but neither were the rest of the sisters. They should have been reconciled.
You can only wait but so long to bury someone before they start decomposing. It's one of those things where you just need to get there if it is important to you - or you will miss it. If they waited at least 2 weeks for her, then I'd say that was her own fault.
@@gr8thingz12 Her oldest son said Denise basically tried to hold up the arrangements because she had the insurance policy and wanted to play hard ball with the family. Karen and her husband ended up paying for everything out of pocket because it was taking too long. So there was more surrounding that story than them just up & burying him. And unless he was buried within 24 hours of his passing (which he wasn't) then that story doesn't hold up that she couldn't get there.

Whats most sad about the sisters situation is that it appears there won't be any reconciliation most likely until someone ends up in the graveyard and then thats when folks will come together crying and saying i can't believe we've missed this much of each others lives etc. Funerals are almost always the grounds of mending but then by that time it may be too late smh Lord have mercy

So Twinkie went 10 years without any mention of it to Denise while being one of the executive producers herself? Come on. It doesn't make sense.

All this required of Denise was speak to the script writer who interviewed the other sisters for their perspectives & then the actress that portrayed her. What does she need to hear from Jacky, Dorinda, and Karen for? Does she make any efforts to call any of them outside of Twinkie?
Sc0rpion exactly! She’s always saying she’s the “first Clark Sister.” She’s older, so she should be the one reaching out to her younger sisters. None of them are babies.
They probably reached out to her, but reaching out is about reaching out at the right time, not reaching out because you can't go forth with something unless you reach out. People are saying, Denise has problems and people with real problems don't keep silent to the world, or to the church world for years. There's some hurt and pain there. Let's prayer that healing takes place for the family.
Speaking as someone who is the black sheep. You are can't condemn Denise because she wants nothing to do with them. When you have been hurt to your soul by your family your mother your sisters your brother's that is a pain that is not easily erased. I lived it many years and until you have walked in those shoes you really have no opinion in the matter. Not everybody's family is the huxtables or leave it to beaver. There is Sibling rivalry control. If the parent is controlling it is going to affect the children. My mother Kept telling my sisters I was her favorite which was a lie from the pit of H***. They fail for it and believe it because she wanted to have all of the attention on her. One day I woke up and understood exactly what was going on and win every time you try to go back and reconciled with people and they kick you in your behind every time. What you have to do is to forgive them and walk away. Not for them but for yourself so that you can have peace they will never add mid what they have done, So why keep trying and getting kicked in the teeth. So for all of you on here talking about what Denise all to do denise's trying to keep her peace when you have gone to back camera pay you not trying to keep dragging it up stop it you don't know what she's going through stop it.
These are generational curses and because they didn't reconcile with each other. it doesn't just go away. That generational demon will follow them down until someone says enough is enough. I guess add her own children to the list of people that victimized her, since her son Larry said he hasn't seen her in 15 years and Denise said she hasn't met any of her grandchildren. You ever heard the saying - if it's one person, then it's them. If it's everybody, then it's you? I don't even know how controlling their mother truly was, because from what I've read, Denise use to literally talk back and sass Mattie even in choir rehearsals.
Well u have a point....but RESTORATION is attainable if ALL parties are willing. Sometimes deciding to JUST MOVE FORWARD for the sake of retaining the family connection is best. Ultimately...THE PROCESS OF TIME has taken place so hopefully Denise will just choose to reconnect from a FRESH start while there is TIME TO DO IT.
Denise was rebellious and wanted to do her own thing. She wanted the sisters and their mother to accept it. And another thing, is Bishop Sheard's son married? I see there is a second child.

In real life no younger sisters can illtreat an older sister unless their mother approved of what they were doing to Denise. There are many families with six sisters whereby the first sister also got pregnant out of wedlock, and still treated with respect as the older sister.
As a person with as many siblings, I can say something happened to Denise for her to not want to be involved with her sisters! Dorinda herself in the movie said it’s hard to love her and we can clearly see how that hurt Denise! Few more scenes showed similar actions, they damn near picked on her lol Twinkie looks to be the only one to care WHY Denise was different and love her PERIOD and not just dislike her for it because she wasn’t a goody too shoe! They all had faults and I hate the movie only showed her bad side and not everybody’s🤷🏾♂️and wonder why she don’t want to fool with them! Look how they made her look versus themselves, they didn’t expose themselves in the least😬
Well, it was mean to say, but it was sincere. And here we are today with Denise own kids finding her hard to love. Also, Twinkie and Denise are closest in age. You have to realize when Denise started acting out and getting pregnant, Karen and Dorinda were really something like 11 and 14 - they were not even old enough to coddle her. Jacky was out the house and married. So it just naturally fell on Twinkie to deal with her. I mean, if you are going with your line of thinking that her siblings were responsible for parenting her.
@@gr8thingz12 I didn't get that being what she was saying she is saying that or at least how i interpreted it to be was something has happened in which both Denise and all of them are not fully over with and haven't yet settled in terms of forgiveness. The movie did seem to touch on more of Denise bad than anybody else in fact if you looked at the film it made Dorinda look like she has no issues in life at all when she was the one who actually had the breakdown once their mom passed. And when it comes to Karen it didn't make clear that she was going under the knife for cosmetic surgery ( weight loss surgery) so the film was skewered b/c if they wanted to keep it secret the film didn't have to mention anything about Denise pregnancy and things of that nature could have been just as secret or spin for a better light. I don't feel like she's saying the sisters were responsible for but there is hurt there on all sides.
octaviakf at the end of the day life time is messy like bishop just said I wish they would’ve got the fun side of my mother in law. Another thing it was a lot of scenes with all of them laughing and enjoying each other presence some times you get in fights with your siblings and Denise was invited to tell her own story she didn’t won’t to so aye they gave headline stories. Did you think ppl wasn’t gone ask about Denise pregnancy if they didn’t mention it? Also in a lot of interviews they have mentioned Denise name. Denise need to let god handle this and join her sisters before it’s too late
gr8thingz12 you read my comment all wrong, my line of thinking was not about anyone raising Denise, she’s the third to the oldest🤷🏾♂️lol but whether she was apart of the production or not they made her look like a stranger instead of a sister and made themselves look like angels, showed every character having a dispute with her! I just thought that was biased and unfair, seeing they didn’t air out they own dirty laundry! It’s simple respect! All the sisters been saying they reached out to Denise to be apart of the movie when the movie first came out this is not anything new. SHE IS NOT A BABY SHE DAMN NEAR THE OLDEST Nobody needs to come and baby her if she want to see her sisters she should’ve stayed in Detroit like the rest of them. Her sons are around the family constantly she has no excuse. Gino literally watches and clean Kierras house while she’s gone and one of her sons was at Jackys house the other week while she was cooking. They are around why isn’t she???
Good Lord everyone why do we try to weight heavy on Denise and the Clark sisters family issues? We assume which is the lowest form of education we come with our own perspective and at the end of the day just because it's broadcasted doesn't mean we should have an input as if our opinion is facts and law! Oray for the family pray for deliverance. Dont overlook your family secrets and drama you Dont want revealed that needs prayer and fasting and a lot of confession and therapy.

Please remember..he GREW up with them ALL and sometimes having an interessary (like the Hply Spirit does for us with Jesus) gets a calmer...less emotional response . But for some people..enough is NEVER enough.
He wasn't reaching out to her as a brother-in-law, as he said - he contacted her as part of his due diligence as an executive producer over the production. It wasn't just him. The other executive Holly Carter, script writer Camille Tucker, actress Raven Goodwin, even her son Larry Clark among others had said they each reached out to her in an effort to get her involvement. Even her friend Larry Reid said on his platform that he personally knows that producers contacted her. Unfortunately, she chose not to divulge that information and lead people to believe otherwise.
She doesn't want yo talk to them. Shes asked the to leave her alone. Twinkie and Bishop are the middle persons for her to talk to her sisters and even then she doesn't care to speak to them. It doesn't matter who would've reached out, she didn't want to participate.
