Great machine. I've been using mine around the house for about 6yrs and moved it to my detailing business 9 months ago where it's used almost daily. My hose finally broke and I just reordered a new one for $31 off Amazon.
Wondered about the hose breaking. Broke on my little pro heat. So just bought this professional . But I actually took electrical black tape and reinforced that Is bend arearight away
AHHH! I just got this machine last month...I will admit I didn't read through the entire instruction manual...I didn't realize you are supposed to suck in clean water to clean it out and let the hose dry after use! Thanks! I have only used it two times...so hopefully not too much harm done...I now know for all my future cleaning! As another comment says below, this was straight, to the point and full of all the info needed! Thanks!!
I just received mine and this is the exact video I needed to help me understand what to expect with this machine. Awesome info truly appreciate it! This is by far the best video I’ve seen! Thank you 😊
Do you really have to? Why don’t they scrub the floors when they come and do carpet cleaning? The solution is strong enough to break down the junk in your car. I sometimes wonder if it is really necessary step especially for car seats. I have never tried it without scrubbing but I wonder if anybody has ever just done straight solution/extracting on a really bad car?
I'm in the UK and I am considering buying one of these mainly to clean the seats in the cars. Watching your video, I'm converted. in the stores here it's £149 (roughly $189) I'll be buying the bundle from Bissel direct for an extra £10 though as the bundle is not available in the stores. Thank you for the video. It was very useful.
Great video! This style should be textbook for all product review and demos! I just bought this carpet cleaner and used your video to learn how to use it and get some tips.
thanks. i have been looking at this for a while and have watched several videos about it and i think i'm getting this one. i love being able to see it in action.
Thanks for this video. Very informative. I just purchased this machine and the user manual wasn’t very good. This model machine is also popular with car valeters.
I have one for the past year. Works amazingly but be careful to not use too much force or you can break the handle. To replace, you have to order a new hose and handle and you have to tear apart the whole machine. Not a big deal as there are step by step tutorials. Took me a half hour to fix, just need patience. Only drawback.
Great review. For heavily soiled car interiors I would recommend Pre-spray soak with a upholstery detail spray and then agitation with a valet upholstery drill brush. Finish with the extractor. I use the same extractor. Before every detail I Always remove the head and blow out the fan nozzle. This seems to keep the spray in nice fan shape.
The problem with all of these machines is the suction is not that good I think they could have design it better for greater suction. Thanks for the demonstration.
Nice. just bought this as a replacement to my little pro heat. Which broke at the hose. reinforced that bend area right Away with! with electrical tape
I just bought one. I am comparing it to a Karcher professional. This machine has quite weak suction but it gets the job done. It's extremely noisy and the build quality is not that great. Compared to a rental it would have to last 3 years to be financially viable. Next time I'm getting a more expensive Karcher.
For the mats, should I suggest you use the carpet solution and then agitate is using a drill brush. Afterwards use this extractor. You’ll see better results.
Hey, I just got one of these today and used it on a sofa but there is no instructions. How much liquid should I apply with the button? Would you run it down the length of the sofa and then go back over that direction for the suction? Thanks for your help
I read a review where someone was complaining about the hose breaking where it enters the machine.. Bissell's reply stressed cleaning the machine after each use saying that dirty water left in the hose will eventually evaporate leaving a detergent residue that can/will weaken the plastic contributing to failure..
@@tongo117 I can see that could be a factor to hose breakdown but still sounds lame with all the other complaints. I have a Spot Bot from 2008 and unlike others the hose has not yet broken anywhere. I don't normally use the auto mode and don't wrap the house up tight on it.
It works better if you spray solution from chemical sprayer or a spray bottle and then agitate it then suck it up with just jot or warm water from the bissell...
Just bought one a tried it the suction is terrible, I’ve tried to find ways to make it stronger coving any air holes . I’ve been watching reviews over a week before I bought it . It wouldn’t lift a piece of paper up the suction is that weak . I could actually cry it’s that bad and there is no way the shop will take it back.
nice review I think you'd get a little more results from using a fabric car cleaner and a light brushing first. It'll will do a better job at agitating the dirt off and out of the fabric.. instead of relying soley on the suction of the machine.
The one I mention/use in the video has a label that says it's specially formulated for portable cleaning machines, not upright.. Don't really know what that means.. I can't imagine what harm would come by using a product for uprights with a portable cleaner?? I found it way in the back of the store on isle 36.. Not up front with the Bissell cleaners for rent.. This is it from a different vendor:www.chewy.com/bissell-spot-clean-pet-stain-odor-2x/dp/136613?Bissell&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjcfzBRCHARIsAO-1_OrBhNnXMaCfS5bBWwyapaXtbdWoqM57xHFPhO7UrDZwSENi9DL5qeQaAop1EALw_wcB
whats a better option? I got a new car but with all the rain its getting mud an debree which in time is going to be bad even though its charcoal interior. I bought a pet stain eraser carpet cleaner for portability but I don't think its going to be good with heavy mud and stuff. I also was thinking of just using water in the tank with meguiers upholstery cleaner solution foam just because I know it won't affect coloring lol
Yes- for car interiors I use chemical guys fabric clean solution, diluted (I forget the ratio, haven't used it for long and its in a different location right now) but I put that solution into a chemical sprayer like a weed sprayer. A spray bottle also works, but I do a large volume of this and my clients love it, but my hands hurt after using a handheld spay bottle. A pump sprayer will foam better than a spray bottle. Then use a drill brush from amazon, chemical guys etc. Typically white is going to be your soft, which I would use for seats. yellow is usually a medium, I use for carpets. Red will likely be too aggressive and can damage fibers. But yeah use the spray, let sit a bit, use the drill brush to agitate the solution (a hand brush is fine too), then use just plain warm or hot water in your extractor only, using solution usually leaves behind residue that I can't stand. Suction with the extractor. Tried and true! for tough and sticky stains, maybe invest in a steam cleaner. Wagner has a good one on amazon for just over $100 and its worth every penny if you do enough of this kind of thing.
Great video! I've just bought mine and this video is very informative. I was afraid that mine was broken because that black thing in the dirty water tank was loose. I see now that is how it is supposed to be. Any idea why that is?
Excellent video. Thank you, watching from over the pond in the U.K. Quick question, could you pre soak some clean water/soap solution on the car seat first out of a regular sprayer then simply use clean water in the bissell to rinse/extract? Or have I over complicated this?
The cleaning solution tank holds 64oz (1/2 gallon).. When you press the spray trigger and nothing comes out it's time to dump the dirty water and refill cleaning solution.. Cleaning the Rav4 in the video I refilled the tank 4 times so I used 2 gallons..
If you pre-treat the surface, do you have to push the trigger down or do you just go over it with the suction. I’m a bit confused on how or when to use that trigger.
Pressing the trigger simply sprays the cleaning solution you mixed up onto whatever it is you are cleaning.. But if you pre-treat heavily enough you would not need to use the trigger cause it's already saturated.. You would just suction it up.. If you're going to do it that way you don't need this machine.. You can just pre-treat and use a shop vac for suction.. Cheaper that way also..
Hi! I just received my Bissell Spot Clean Pro 3624 and also bought the pet cleaner. But I am confused, since the mini cleaner says its made for upright carpet cleaners and the pet cleaner is made for portable carpet cleaners, which category of carpet cleaner does the Bissell Spotclean Pro 3624 fit into?
Is there a reason you tapped the dirty water tank when you said you were going to fill 16 ounces of the cleaning solution? I am really confused by the fill lines (right at the top) on this thing. Where other videos and the back of the Bissell pet cleaning solution make it seem like i need to put like 1/3 solution ratio or something like that.
you are correct.. at 3:35 when I mention adding 16oz of cleaning solution I tap the dirty water tank.. the solution was added to the other tank.. no reason for that other than a mistake on my part.. you only need 2oz (one cap full) cleaning solution per full tank (64oz)..
I just got one of these it's very good for cleaning but fuck me it's loud. Really fucking loud. Wear ear protection because it will damage your hearing.
This Bissell pro cannot perform with a Hot water extractor I have this Bissell pro and a commercial Hot water extractor and the difference is huge the Bissell pro can't clean carpet or seats right it's more of a surface cleaner
Bro, you spray the soup on the seats, WORK IT WITH A BRUSH, and then use the vacuum to lift up all the crap accumulated over the years, you DIDN'T clean em the right way 🙄
