@@trappedcat3615 Blockstream employs more than half of Core developers and has unilateral control over PR merging, so they are the BCore protocol at this point. That's a pretty important "service" to be unfamiliar with and is germain to any discussion of the protocol. If you make $2/day, buy a loaf of bread to feed your family for $0.50, and are charged a transaction fee of $0.20, is that good money that is open to all? Or is BTC, as Samson Mow says, not viable for poor people?
There is an energy, a power, a beauty in Aantonop's presentations that is thrilling and enlightening. I feel proud that humanity has such a representative who can stand tall and call us all out to do what we can and should to change. He is so right to say that we DO have this power. This man is a legend.
Mr. God of bitcoin. Every single times I listen to antonopoulos spech. Its make chill and Goospum all over my soul and body. Super genius human alive today
Give a man a Ledger and you will feed him for a day... Teach a man about Crypto, you will feed him for life! Each & every one of us should stand & applaud this brilliant individual!!
Can conquer about taxes in Switzerland. Do not ever need to doubt that the money is reinvested in us. Anyway, great talk: I like the "swiss bank account in your pocket".
That is awesome!!! I have been waiting for so long to hear about taxation from Andreas in a new financial world. That is amazing, full decentralization of taxation. People will not be loosing control of their money after being taxed. No need in politicians as an intermediaries and thieves. 👏 👏👏
It’s what I love most about bitcoin. The ones that usually get in first, have been locked out. Rules and regulations prevent them from jumping into the game. And the great games from fiat keep some out too. It’s not often that the people are invited to the initial offering first.
I've watched many many videos of Andreas and this was the best. He deserves a bigger audience, people need to wake up to the corrupt system we're living in.
Brilliantly put. I would add that what Switzerland has is not the result of privilege, but instead of the hard work, intellect and past choices of their citizens. That is not privilege, those are the earnings of the exercise of the same power you so well advocated for in your speech.
I’m currently researching whether to buy bitcoin or not and decided to watch some videos to brush up on the topic. While I agree on how the technology works and what it can achieve there one question which keeps getting evaded. What is the intrinsic value of a Bitcoin? A gold or silver coin has value in the metal. A fiat currency has the backing of its respective government. But a bitcoin? No idea. It’s just some code. I like the system and the network, it’s all great! But what gives bitcoin its high price? If someone can help me with that question, I would appreciate it. I cannot find a video which helps me with that question. Many thanks.
Thank you for your contributions to this space Anthony you are a real pioneer for the freedom for humanity. I want to ask you if your content here on utube can or are available in multiple languages ? I share all great content among many friends around the world and in particular in some countries where English is not commonly spoken - I am constantly looking to break down the perception of crypto among many friends and colleges and would love to be able to share this kind of content in other languages, in particular poor countries third worlds countries Keep up your phenomenal work - Respect to you
Yes, his books and lectures are translated in multiple languages. I suggest going to his website. You should find a wealth of translated awesome information from Andreas. Keep spreading the Bitcoin virus! :)
My thoughts exactly! Keep educating, Andreas... you're doing immense good in this world! The worse thing one can do to a man is convince him that he is free, and then get him to police himself with the fearful ideas that have been injected into him since his birth. #freethepeople
I won't be able to attend the premier section of this video discussion on September 14, 2019 due to retail work and participating in a esports tournament (spectating) on Saturday. Looking forward to this video otherwise.
The whole idea of mnemonic seeds and passphrases (25th word) is so fascinating to me. Like trying to wrap my mind around the chances of someone brute forcing it... Not only is there not enough time in the universe to guess it (itll be dead by then) but using computers, there's not enough natural resources on earth to supply the electricity required for the computers to compute that long. And how that one single mnemonic phrase can create just as many wallets as there are atoms in existence?... amazing. Basically if humans still had billions of years left to multiply and all that time they used the same BIP39 seed phrase techniques... the chances of 2 people creating a duplicate wallet is still next to impossible. Who the hell is Satoshi N?!?! Dudes not human
Aantonop is so good, he's provoking thought; educating the world; and getting paid for his passion; all while very sensibly ranting about all the fuckry going on that we can do something about.
I live in Ohio and sometimes drive to Michigan I also can confirm your roads suck ass even the highway has pot holes like what highways have potholes!?
It’s amazing to see the love and appreciation that Andreas gets from the community.... I’m thankful that among all the tribalism, we have people like him to remind everyone what this space is all about
Zcash is the Swiss bank for Everyone's pocket. Bitcoin broadcasts everyone's financial history. Who in their right mind thinks that's acceptable? While it's easy to make promises about future privacy features, privacy is actually very difficult to achieve after the 1st layer blockchain infrastructure is established.
