Is it important to make sure what type of wallet you are sending too? So i have a nested segwit wallet. Is it bad if i sent (from nest segwit) btc to a native segwit? What are the does and don’t?
Hi. Bitcoin addresses changes every time you receive a transaction. But for other crypto assets (Ethereum, etc.) the address stays the same. how do we can change the addresses for other crypto to stay with privacy like in bticoin? thanks
@@cryptoforcanadians in ledger, for example for ethereum, it gives always the same address, and don't give the chance to change... If I am wrong, please elucidate me.
Thats interesting to know thanks. Im getting a message from an exchange saying currently we do not suppprt SegWit addresses (with a "bc1" prefix) please send your withdrawls to non SegWit addresses. So it says the bc1 prefix which i didnt have but the address was most certainly a SegWit address. Does that mean i need the first type of address u mentioned. Now how do i get one of them ? 🤣
Yeah as I said in the video, not all exchanges support Native SegWit. Your wallet should give you an option to generate an address type for all three. If not then I don't know as I only use hardware wallets.
@@cryptoforcanadians oh i didnt know that it gives u the option i didnt see it on my ledger at the time i generated my address thats good to know though if thats the case :)
@@cryptoforcanadians okay. But it seems I'm unable to receive btc with my native segwit address from all wallets. Someone tried sending me btc into my native segwit and it said invalid address
@@cryptoforcanadians Okay, guess I'll keep researching and testing then. I also wanna know what determines the transaction fees while sending btc, because i heard the segwit has lower fees compared to legacy
@@kokos3268 Transaction fees are determined by how congested the memory pool is. You can see how Bitcoin fees work here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HUQ_4loHu4M.html and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HcOzJ3WNS-U.html
@@cryptoforcanadians well is clear in your video 3 different types of wallets no compatibles with eachotehrs and all of them slow af and expensive thats why, cheers
