I was beat with razor straps, horse whips along with other things from a wicked step-mother and a father that either helped in the beatings or never stopped it from happening. I was also stripped naked before the beatings. I was able to get out at the age of 12 and I finally told my mom and she got me out of there. It still haunts me after 45 years. I’m so with you about spanking. I got a couple fat lips and bloody noses from my mom while I was growing up, and called names and screamed at. When I had my son, I vowed to never use any kind of physical discipline, because I know how awful I felt as a kid after my mom would hit me. I have never once hit my son, who is almost 22. I could parent him without laying a finger on him. I never, ever wanted my son to feel the physical and emotional pain I grew up with.

It’s not a move. That’s why she didn’t take that much stuff with them. It’s just split time. Summer in Ohio and winter in Hawaii.

I live in Ohio and we went to Maui for our honeymoon and our flight at the time was about $900/person. She has to pay for 4 people (infant in lap is free) and with fees it’s over 1K each. So if the family travels back to Ohio let’s say 3 times a year, that’s at minimum 12 thousand a year for flights only, probably way more when you add everything up that goes along with traveling

Wow. I just graduated college last month after 7 LONG years and I REALLY wish someone would’ve gave me the college advice you did.

She has literally said before that when she was in college she struggled with an eating disorder and body image issues... soooo.. this isn't "NEW" information.

So I wanted to take a Gap year, and surprisingly my parents were supportive; however, my (US) scholarships were contingent on me attending the next semester! I hope that changes or has changed.

There is a marital problem I think and it’s been going for a very long time. As someone who has struggled with an ED for most of my life..... I find it absolutely disgusting that she did that. I am trying to understand why, maybe she's wanting to 'weed out the trolls' by putting it behind a paywall but still that doesn't make sense either b/c trolls can still get to it so that leaves one motive.
