I've felt badly for Chad a lot, but I'm really getting concerned for Russell. He's obviously an extremely tender hearted emotional child and Ruby has obviously picked up on this and pushes him over the edge for content. When my son, who is also very emotional, is upset or hurting I don't whip out a camera...I throw my arms around him and console him. I feel so bad for these children.

Did anyone notice that the kids didn’t actually break the casserole dish? Ruby says at the end that she was trying to put it in the fridge one handed and thought she could handle it but dropped it. As an exmormon Ruby really triggers me. Her children are not viewed as individuals but as an extension of her righteousness. Chad being rebellious and I use that term loosely is just part of the script for Ruby.

Josh, I watched that car accident video when it first came out. I was able to zoom in on the police car and found out what department it was. I called to ask if her filming victims of an accident was legal. They said what she did was not illegal but disrespectful. There was nothing the department could do to protect the privacy of those involved. I can’t stand that woman!

Ruby isn’t sad this is the last year the kids are under her care. She’s really upset because this is the last year she’s able to have them all under her CONTROL. The Griffiths only let their kids associate with cousins because it keeps them from realizing how controlled and manipulated they are.

I don’t usually comment but I have so much to say about this one. I am an EMT, my husbands a medic, and over-involved, dramatic bystanders are probably the most annoying part of our job. People who feel the need to insert themselves in someone else’s emergency, giving us one extra person to manage. We ask people to stop recording and try to clear the scene of any non-essentials. I find it really irritating when people make others traumas all about them. Emergencies seem to attract narcissists. I have a strong visceral reaction to people exploiting trauma. It’s hard to put into words… but it hits different after you see people go through some real shit… and then these narcissists come out of nowhere and cling to the drama of it all for no other reason then for their own self interest. It happens A LOT. And by the way, it was extremely reckless of her to let her children walk down the highway by themselves. Most accidental deaths in our line of work occur from being struck on the highway while attending to MVC patients. Why the hell wouldn’t she have walked with them? And why are they walking so close to the cars? There’s an entire open field away from the traffic that they could have walked through. My dads a cop too and he watched an entire family that was pulled over on the shoulder get hit and killed. I have lost two coworkers this way as well. And why is she even staying behind in the first place? What a weirdo. Literally never had a WITNESS have someone come pick up their kids while they remain on scene to give a police report. Fill the damn police report out if you must and get off the side of road lady. Is this in a different country? Our officers usually ask witnesses what happened and fill the report out themselves.

Ruby isn't strict shes controlling Shes a textbook narc just like myka and her children will have more than just PTSD once they old enough to go NC and had enough counselling to understand which abuse they've went through all their life! Coming from a narc survivor I'm just feeling so sorry for those children they weren't born to suffer so much through their own mother

I think Russel might have anxiety.. he reminds me sm of myself when i was his age and I wish I couldve gotten help early on. The way she handles these situations that are already difficult for a child to understand, but especially with a kid who is obviously having a harder time managing his feelings is upsetting. I used to watch them when I was younger and I always noticed how emotional Russel was.. it breaks my heart. The way she talks to her kids, only imposing more fear into these young children will leave lasting damage. We can see this with Shari who has spoken about her severe anxiety, I hope all her kids can heal from their parents. So sad

I remember watching the “car crash” vid when it came out. I smelled bullshit right away. The music, the camera, the sound effects. Ruby and Kevin should be ashamed. There are so many blatant issue with this family I can’t!

It’s so refreshing to hear somebody say it’s abuse, disgusting, and wrong. The look on the childrens faces when she said the only reason they didn’t get hit was because they said their prayers. You can literally see them being manipulated by fear. I remember feeling the exact same way. It truly is disgusting, it’s sad how many children in Utah go through this. Even though I have left the church for over 7 years, it’s still hard for me to go throughout my day to day without thinking something bad will happen to me if I don’t “protect myself” This needs to be talked about more so we can break the pattern, I know many others like me are going through this too. These poor kids are going to have such baggage b/c of Ruby. She creates "catastrophes" for content and meanwhile, her kids are drawn into her drama. As adults, they will have a very hard time coping with life, since they saw their mother getting so worked up (real or not) in every situation. They'll feel like they cannot cope and possibly not ever become the people they are capable of being. To get upset b/c she won't have content says it all (as you pointed out). Who does this? Not a caring, devoted mom who can show her kids love and understanding and compassion. She's empty except for her outward show for her subs.

Her daughter, the one left in the car, could have walked out into the road, or been taken by someone, and Ruby wouldn’t have even known. That is severe negligence!!!!

Ruby’s sister Bonnie is just as bad. I have seen edits of her vlogs where the kids have to sneak food because she feeds all four kids one small meal from the same bowl. She is so restrictive of what they can eat, that they are forced to sneak food. She talks a lot about how much she loves their little bodies. (So creepy) Telling the kids that it’s normal to have crushes on their cousins, because she still had crushes on her cousins. I think that whole family has some deep dark secrets.

First of all, she has no idea if anyone got whiplash or not. She looked at each person for two seconds. Car accident victims are not always in pain immediately, often the signs of trauma to the body come out that evening or the next day. Second, for her to use this accident and frighten her kids and not console them is a terrible way to parent. Her choices will come back to bite her when her kids grow up and realize how much she used her own children for her own gains.

When she burnt the beans and was crying..she loves an opportunity to cry.

How does she know that the people involved in the actual accident didn’t pray that morning? I could never promise my son that my husband and his father would come back alive or not injured from front-line combat in Afghanistan or Iraq, because I knew it was a promise I couldn’t guarantee, and I never wanted to lose his trust.

If my 6yo nephew breaks something special to me you know what I say “are you okay? Did you get cut?” Once I’m sure he’s safe I may tell him “that was special to me but it was just an item, you are far more precious to me than that and I’m glad you didn’t get hurt.”

I think the lds church has been encouraging family bloggers to have RU-vid channels to attract new members and to show how wholesome and normal they are. The lds church has also increase these families income and therefore their 10%. These children as young adults are being forced to go on a mission to get more followers and believers for either 18 months or 2 years. I’m fed up of children being abused by their parents and this church. Stop it now. Leaving children home alone, cooking at a young age, babysitting, being forced to do labour, go on a mission etc. This is not a childhood etc.

I am ashamed to say that I had a meetup with them when I was a teen myself, I saw some red flags when I was 18 and quit. This was one of the videos. One other thing was that when I went to the meetup before this happened. I had been sexually abused and did not give people hugs. So at this meetup I held out my hand, (This was before covid) they laughed at me and complained and Kevin actually half gave/ forced me into a hug (they were filming fan meetings so I think that less than enthousiastic greeting are not good). I did not like that.

My son went missing once while in after school care and I got the phone call 5 min after they lost him. I was almost physically ill with worry and panic and shaking until he was found. For her to speak of her child being missing so flippantly...my heart just breaks for these kids. She was probably more worried she lost a piece of her content then she was about the child itself. It's utterly revolting
