Great question, i pulled my instructions out of the box and the only Intel sockets it listed are as follows : 775, 115X, 1366, 2011, 2011-V3, 2066. BUT i posted a link in the video description that lists compatible motherboards and it does have Z490 boards on the list. I will work on finding a better answer and update you, but for now i'm going to say no until i can find a better answer.

Great video, but was also super bummed when the camera died as that's the exact parts I wanted to see after as well - hooking the tubing up to the processor and back to the case, filling the water etc. Do you have a video that shows this, or can you recommend one? Thank you!
@MindmeldTech

you can check this one out from bitspower. I will be doing a drain and fill video at some point, just debating what color i want my coolant to be. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yyZdx2m8imo.html

@@MindmeldTech Cool thanks for the quick response. I'm looking at coolant now too, Bitspower says use distilled water, but would something like the 'Corsair Hydro XL5 Pre-Mixed Coolant 1000ml' work too?
@MindmeldTech
@MindmeldTech 3 года назад
The premixes will work well and they come with what you need in them. I have distilled water in mine for now, but i also had to add a solution to it so that it doesn't grow bacteria or anything else funky. You also have the option to color the water with coolant die. Premo Chill makes a good line of products if you need any of those extras. Also here is a good resource for water cooling. If you haven't checked him out yet see Jayztwo cents - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5ZnDESqJdyU.html he does an awesome job talking about water cooling.
@criznog
@criznog 3 года назад
@@MindmeldTech I'll check it out thanks. Bitspower says this on their site which is throwing me off, so I dunno what to do as far as distilled water + dye or a premix "Bitspower recommends that consumers add the Bitspower dye to distilled water or purified water for their water-cooling liquid. If the consumer chooses different water-cooling liquids, the resulting impurities may cause peeling off the coating on some of the hardware, water channels blockage by built-up residue, improper operation of the water pump, water tank tube breakage, and o-rings deformation leading to leakage."

In the end you should do what makes you comfortable with your investment. When i put mine together i just grabbed some stuff off the shelf at microcenter..lol. Some chemicals react to different metals in odd ways. It's always a safe bet to go with manufacturers advice until your sure what you want or need. That's basically what i did with using just distilled water for right now.

I grabbed the X variant of this which has a mobo and PSU pre-installed - the manual on Bitspower's site looks pretty sparse when it comes to the (in my mind) hardest part - filling the radiator! Do you have any reference points that you recommend? I see your camera died right about when that part would have been shown - doh!
@MindmeldTech
@MindmeldTech 3 года назад
Yeh, i'm going to invest in a power cord for the camera..lol. But as far as filling it up this is what i did, before i turned it on i filled the distro plate in the front. I then turned it on and kept filling it until it stopped sucking up the water. Put the cap back on the plat and then i started tilting the case while it was running, like grab the case and turn it at maybe a 45 degree angle to the left for a minute, then to the right, front back ect. to help work any air out of the system. after doing this i topped it back off and was good to go.
@sk3tchcom
@sk3tchcom 3 года назад
@@MindmeldTech Thank you - that helps! I am new to water cooling (other than AIO). So when you say "turned it on" is that with the CPU installed - is there a worry that without full coolant it will not be safe? Or am I misunderstanding? Thank you.
@MindmeldTech
@MindmeldTech 3 года назад
with the CPU installed. everything should be put together. Fill the distro plate with water before you turn it on. It will suck the water up right away when you turn it on. Be ready to add more. when it stops dropping your water level in the distro plate then your will put the cap back on the plate and do the tilting to get air bubbles out of the system. then you can do a top off. After that install your software and rock and roll.

I just bought this case with a barebones package at micro center for $1,899.00 with a RTX 3080. I mainly bought it for the card, but it came with the power supply and motherboard. I am quite nervous thinking of building this.

Do you think a first time builder can do this
@MindmeldTech
@MindmeldTech 3 года назад
I think it depends on the first time builder, but yes i think a first timer could use this kit. Everything is precut and it comes with all the fittings you need. But they would have to be patient and able to research if they get stuck for one reason or another. You can also buy just the case without the water cooling and do something more traditional. The case it's self is really nice to build in. Hope that help!

I just bought this Titan watercooling kit as well, but my front panel refuses to slide up more than half an inch. Is there a trick or latch or something for sliding it off? The case instructions aren't very helpful =')
@MindmeldTech
@MindmeldTech 3 года назад
To be honest, the first time I took it off I had a hell of a time. Is it caught on anything? Should be able to pull it away from the case after you lift it
@friendlyplayer7
@friendlyplayer7 3 года назад
@@MindmeldTech It doesn't appear to be caught on anything unless there's a screw or something inside from the touchaqua that I can't see. I've tried looking through the screw holes and such to see if there's anything stopping it. Honestly, I feels like there's a lock or latch, but none of the videos I watched seem to have that issue. But they also don't have the touchaqua preinstalled so that could be why. What did you do to take your front panel off? Is there a release button, latch, or screw you saw was causing trouble? I really really appreciate you replying. I've been trying for hours to get this panel off. =')

@@friendlyplayer7 I just tried it again a couple times. It just seems to be a pain to take off.
