Totally same situation here! Been picking my nails since I was a little kid due to anxiety, it really helps me to do poly gel, plus it’s pretty easy and really fun to do! I watch Her tutorials almost every day bc I hope to become a nail tech in college for some extra money.

The nail place I go to does not clean the skin around my nails . They just do the full set so my nails don’t look all that nice because you can still tell that I have been biting the skin …

I wish my nail bit habit were as light as hers is... I tend to bite my nails while reading even to the root itself: I don’t feel pain in that precise moment but only on the morning after where I feel a double loss: one for my aching bloody fingers and the second one for the book that’s usually finished by then... 😅

@@FELIMOR765 I was biting my nails too. And everyone one was saying that they look ugly when I put on nail polish (they were obviously true). One day I decided to quit and I started to send my cousin (could be anyone important in your life) pictures of my nails. I failed quite often but I don’t stop sending pictures and I don’t stop believing in my self. And I put on nail polish even if it looked ugly in the beginning. Because after a while I saw the results and how the shape of my nails change. I quit after 21 years of nail biting and I am so proud! As a child I always wanted painted nails and was jealous of other girl having beautiful nails. Now I have them and I am sooo happy. I believe that everyone can quit. Just stay strong and don’t forget your goal 🥰 I believe in you ❤️

@@whatspoppin4609 I used to bite them too. Horribly to the nib. But then one day I'm biology I read about bacteria and what could live under the nails and whoa I was scarred. Stopped from then. Then I picked up painting nails and designing and realized I was kinda good at it. Now I'm a nail tech as a side hustle.

I love watching Anna's nail transformations. I feel for her and nail biting/picking hangnails/dry skin around the nail. I totally understand, I do the same when I have anxiety. Being a chef is very tough on the hands, and regardless it all, she manages to keep her nails in top form, and you help her so much in a non-judgmental way!

I love seeing the transformations in Anna’s nails! I’m not a nail biter, but I used to work in food, and my cuticles were constantly cracking, peeling, had hangnails and were sore. Seeing her nails look so natural and so much less painful after a service is so satisfying.

Took me a solid 1/2 year for my nails to fully grow out and be strong, after years and I'm talking since middle school nail bitting. The pandemic became my push to stop bitting once and for all. Now I have long pretty natural nails that I get to paint and decal a different color everyday.

I can relate to anna... when there are bits that are hard or hanging off around my nail I just HAVE to bite at it! >.< This is why I originally started doing nails, so I could stop biting the skin and nails. It's such a hard habit to beat, and keeping your nails nice and done really does help. :)

I am So happy for you to hear that you are back and on the path of recovery after you caught Covid.. I truly hope that you feel good now, that you hopefully do not have any side effects left of this very nasty disease.. Very glad to have you back! 🤗 You did an amazing job for Anna and yes, it is so true that everybody that does bite nails and especially the hangnails, due to a job or like my hubby does, out of stress, they truly need to use cuticle oil at least 2 times a day, when they go to bed and after their morning routine in the bathroom and softly massage it in. Best is even to have a little cuticle oil pen with them during the day but I know that it does not work for everyone to do this the moments that they thoughtfulness bite or pick at the hangnails or skin at all.. It is not easy to replace a habit for something else if you do that for many many years, but it is worth a shot to keep repeating of reminding them, each time they are with you at their appointments. It is not a must but only a recommendation, pushing can backfire.. But you made a stunning short nail, something that is gorgeous for everybody! 😎

I have anxiety disorder, so it has been close to impossible for me to stop biting. Most places around me refuse to work on people with bitten nails. I love how hers turned out. Truest that has to make her feel so much better. ❤️

I'm the same way! I buff off my own hang nails so I don't chew on my cuticles and make them bleed! Thank you for sticking to what you know is best despite online criticism by idiots. You're really the best. I love every video and always look forward to them! Take care.

Some people are taught not to cut the cuticle, which is fine, but don't shame the ones that know what they are doing and haven't had any problems. It also depends on where you live and what procedures are done in that state as well. Some states don't allow you to cut the cuticle. My state had to stop the process because of the chop shops around here who were doing it wrong and causing problems. I absolutely love the Russian Manicure! I do it on myself after I started doing my own nails and it makes a difference. It's so much more elegant looking and neat after it has been done. Love the transformation you do for Anna. I'm sure she loves it too!

I used to bite my nails and the hard skins around them and it was pretty bad. One day i encouraged myself to go to a nail technician, and that was my turning point. For the first time my nails looked amazing, so then i swore to myself i’d never ever bite them again. I’m still friends with the nail technician, she’s a wonderful lady 🤍
