Yet, their actions and words alienate us new fans. The WNBA should require workshops for players and coaches to enhance their ability to handle PR-related tasks, such as interviews and speeches. Implementing these workshops could significantly increase the overall value of the WNBA.

This is sad - Clark grew up a fan of Lynx coz of Maya Moore. But this activist coach is unprofessional and not a good example for the Lynx organization, the WNBA and USA Basketball. A huge turn-off. She deserved to lose to Clark and the Fever.

I was fans of a lot of these players and used to check out games if I came across one but I started disliking them after listening to them in interviews. Really sad

I strongly disagree that people don’t watch the WNBA because of “unlikeable people”. Although, this may be a small part of it, the major reason is that it is just F’n boring. The men are 10 times more athletic, move faster, and play above the rim. The women pass well, and shoot set shots, and layup. The bottom line is that accept for parents with athletic young girls, the casual viewer would much rather turn on any other men’s sporting activity, and/or just watch something else,
But it is entertaining to watch CC22 run around the rest of the league, as if she was a male, even though she actually is one of the few feminine players.
