G'day everyone! My life continues very busy and, despite having some good footage to edit, I haven't had time to edit much during this couple of weeks...this is why I decided to publish one of the dozens of videos I still have in the archives, to keep the content coming :)
In this session I manage some good fish but I also face some frustrations...let me know in the comments if you ever had this issue so many times in a session
In the second session I successfully try a new handcrafted jointed mouse lure. It was a nice lure when it swam well but later on I had some issued with the bibs breaking
Session 1

Line: Duel hardcore X8 - PE0.6 | 13lb
Leader: Sunline FC - 0.285mm | 12lb

Session 2
Rod: Edge DSR 6100 | 6'10" | 4-10lb | 1/8 - 1/4oz
Reel: 2019 Daiwa Steez CT SV TW
Line: Gosen 16 Ply - PE0.8 | 20lb
Leader: Unitika mono - 0.285mm | 12lb
Lure - Handcrafted Mouse lure - 52mm | 6.5gr

Awesome stuff Ramon. Quality fish especially that first one on the mouse. And yep, the braid pop is heartbreaking hey. I had it happen twice last weekend on some 0.8 ive had on for about a year , which isnt too bad as i fish it a few times a week. Fortunately it snapped as i was tightening the leader knot so i didn't lose a lure, but it has happened! I reversed the line when i got home so i should get a bit longer out of it. Thanks mate, that day was super frustrating. It was weird because I had used that Duel Hardcore X8 PE0.6 in the past without issues, it is still my go to line in PE1.5 for jacks but I reckon that day I just got a faulty batch…anyway, after that sesh I ditched all the 0.6 on my BFS reels and stepped up to 0.8. Reversing the line is a great trick to get more life out of it 👌🏼

Haha yeah that day it was super frustrating. That was the day I ditched all my PE0.6 and stepped up to the 0.8 for bass. It was weird tho, I had used the Duel Hardcore X8 0.6 before on spin setups without issues and I still use that line in PE1.5 for jacks…I reckon I just got a faulty batch coz that Alde had been freshly spoiled up not long before that sesh…🤷🏽‍♂️

Oh wow, so lucky it spat the lure and you got it back. Gotta had thise times where only half of the time on the water youre actually productively fishing

Yeah that was the only lucky bit other than catching a couple of nice fish haha I’m also glad for the fish, I hate to think they could die when swinging away with a lure

Great video again I hate loosing lures too aswell as having to retie a leader on throughout my fishing session very frustrating

Thanks mate, 100%, I don’t mind this happening every now and then but 5 FG’s tied on the yak in 1.5h went well above the limits of my patience 😅😂 I didn’t lose 5 lures fortunately, only 1 as other breakages happened when casting or tightening the knots

As always Ramon, awesome video. There was some good quality fish in that system, I'd say that would account for the bust off's lol ya win some and lose some but all the same good day out by the looks of it.

Thanks mate, yeah there were some good quality bass in there but the bust offs were mainly due to a faulty braid..very frustrating
