what's up guys I was checking the comments below and many of you guys said it will never work few said it works, well I have been using this against many experiment top competitors for ex Roger, braulio, Jackson Souza, lagarto and many others, those guys if you give one mistake or space I will pay the price so for those have been trying but without success will be my pleasure to show you the whole thing if you comedown to rga headquartered also lean one thing for those love to learn jiu jitsu watching youtube it will be impossible learn the whole in only one goal the person on top can react in many different ways , but is so funny to see the comments how you guys underestimate just looking behind screen

That's an amazing technique, coach! I pulled this out against a heavy blue belt and it perfectly worked! So many fake experts here on RU-vid here who just like to express their assumptions...lol

Vagabond Deubzeur exactly. This is fine to learn so you know the mechanics of the move, but there about 10 different escapes that are less dangerous if you elect not to reguard. Moreover, if you do not compete but only do bjj for self defense, completely ignore all of this. You turn away and you’re gonna be eating punches and elbows to the back and side of your head - and where are your hands that are supposed to be protecting you? Out in left field, that’s where.

@@mjolnir9855 The word GOSPEL means “good news.The Good News then is what is taught about something good.This teaching is found in Scripture Alone.The Scripture teaches that God is Holy.God’s Holiness and Sovereignty demand Holiness (complete perfection) from every human.Humanity has sinned, fallen from perfection, and commits sins because we are sinners.God is His holiness is required to be just, therefore, the just condemnation for sin is death.Therefore all men are dead spiritually and will die physically and will enter into a second death eternally.So what’s the good news? God sent the Son, fully God, fully man, born of a virgin, prophesied forever, to live as a human being.Jesus is His name. He is the Christ (messiah), or the Holy Anointed of God.He lived a life of absolute perfection without any sin before God as a man.He then died a death that He did not deserve in order to take the punishment (death) of sinners.His death Atoned (paid for) the sins of His people.Jesus’ death satisfied the wrath of God justly, because He substituted in life (obedience) and death (punishment) for His people.God, through the hearing of this truth, brings to life sinners and causes them to be born again to a living hope in Jesus Christ.Jesus rose from the dead and lives today in order to vindicate all His claims and promises.Therefore, Christ has taken the wrath of God from all who believe, those for whom He died and their sins will be held against them no more.The good news then is that those who trust in this redemption through this God-man Jesus, have eternal life.

Interesting to hear a Brazilian who has learned his English in England. Charles sounds very like Braulio. I need to experiment with this since I do tend to show my back quite a lot in side control although usually against lower belts so that they practice their back take. One risk I see is being gift wrapped if my opponent gets his grip first around my head. That said, taking the initiative and making the grip is something I hadn't thought to do.

That's why he pinches his ear to his shoulder. That will also protect from the gift wrap. You don't want your hand over your ear either. Just next to the cheek. His hand won't fit in there.

It's a solid escape. There are many ways to use it beyond what he should but what he should works well. More time than not in my experience so far. Learned it a few months ago at seminar. It's been great for back escapes too. I will be putting it to use in the upcoming competition next month, but hopefully, I will be on top every match. Nothing wrong with that.

So when he gives his back wouldn't his opponent place his left knee behind the head then sit him up and take the back?
@rogerTitohotmama
@rogerTitohotmama 6 лет назад
I find myself here often and I generally do not get my back taken unless I want that (against a smaller/weaker opponent with a pesky active sidemount). If you are a 'strong' guy you can hang out here for a while. In no gi, the attacks from the top seem pretty limited and usually degenerate to trying to pry your top arm free for an arm bar or shoulder lock. Keep your arm tucked and close to your abs in that setting.

the title is obvious a bait click. anyway this is a classic running escape but when you put your knee closed to your elbow to avoid the mount you expose yourself to the craddle

kick hard and fight the cross face? Not to mention you could always invert there instead of trying to recover guard.

I think there is always some vulnerability to any kind of escaping movement to be fair but it is down to experience as to how well you pre-empt these and close the doors on them. Hope you liked the video regardless! Charles is an exceptional black belt!

@grimperpl

This technique will NEVER work every time. It won't work on all heavy opponenst and all skilled grapplers. On heavier you'll never roll back, the skilled ones will easely take your back.
@Lipitorforall
@Lipitorforall 6 лет назад
Nothing works "everytime". I am a very big guy, and I guarantee you I can shut this down. But if you have me occupied with something else, sure this may work. You can't rely on 1 technique. You need options in your bag of tricks. Keep your bag filled with just a few options, but make sure it's more than 1. If you block my hand coming around once you're on your side, I'm going to forget going for a collar choke and grab your hand. Then I'd use both of my hands to wrap your arm (which is now around your neck) around yourself. Now I don't need my hooks, I'm controlling your whole body because I have complete control of your neck and I WILL take the back (unless you are relying on more than this one trick).
@warriorcollective
@warriorcollective 6 лет назад
To be fair, the every time was my addition to the title as I have so many videos already on this channel (a couple covering this exact same subject) so have to word them differently. I am in total agreement, there are natural counters to any escape in BJJ. This framework is just one aspect of a whole myriad of different ones that will have to inter thread together in order to have a black belt game. Charles is an exceptional coach and I hope yo enjoyed this tutorial regardless of my poor titling :-)
@rogerTitohotmama
@rogerTitohotmama 6 лет назад
I do this all the time to big guys (220+ but without a gi) although escape isn't always my goal. You can actually stay on your side quite comfortably for longer than you might think. My personal variation is slightly different, but you would have to be freakishly strong to pry my top hand free or gift wrap me. That difficulty is then multiplied by the fact that it's tucked against my chest with no space for your hand to get under. Moreover, the actual escape part of the technique here has little to do with hand placement, hand fighting, or hand anything. Instead, it's in the hips. Often as the top guy struggles fruitlessly to grab my arm or neck, my hips are inexorably moving to freedom. Again though, as counter intuitive as it seems one very well might want to stay put on his/her side until the eye of the storm passes. When people run out of moves and even ideas, they often become discouraged or desperate. Kneebars and cradles are possible but require little effort in fending off.
