My mother was a fan of her, she passed away two years ago and listening to Bjorks music makes me feel so close to her. I don't understand how people don't love her as much as I do. She holds a special place in my heart and makes me feel like she is speaking from my mothers soul because my mother isn't here to tell me these things anymore. If only she knew the way she has effected my life. So much love for this beautiful creature, she doesn't speak from a human perspective she speaks from the soul living as a human and one day everyone will realize how important she is.

Three years ago, my daughter was born to this song playing. My wife and I had a relationship based around our love of Bjork initially and even in the thick of childbirth we listened to Vespertine over and over and I will never forget our baby being born to Unison.
Some people here make fun because of her voice at 3:40 ... squeaking blabla. Her voice was cracking, because she was about to cry ...tappin‘ on her chest helped her, to retain her composure. That happens when you sing with your heart and soul.
God, Bjork kills every time. I've enjoyed every album of hers I've listened to, and I can safely say that I think Homogenic and Vespertine are perfect.
My Dearest Homegirl of 26 years passed away this May, 2021. Reiko was ONE OF THE BIGGEST BJÖRK ADMIRERS I ever knew. I find myself sitting in my Car, listing to Björk full blast...crying and missing my dearest friend Reiko St.Martin. Pluto was her ALL TIME favorite from the Beautiful Björk. Wow, it's not enough that she's saved my life so many times over the decades... Now she is saving my marriage (almost 8 years, 2 kids and not going great at this moment). This song gives me hope. I hear it in a whole new way than I did all those years ago. It's just divine, in every sense of the word.

Awesome live performance of one of my favorites! Thank the higher powers for the artistic compositions of Bjork. She has remained in the front of my musical listenings for over 30 years. One of a kind and so very grateful for her emotionally moving art and inspiration.
Such exquisite music. I started listening to Bjork about 8 years ago, only her music can literally fill me with complete and utter joy when I hear it or discover a track I've never heard before. It's very rare I ever meet someone who loves and appreciates her music as much as I do, but I sort of like that.
This song makes me feel like if i close my eyes and wonder i would slowly but surely float its so heavenly sounding that it makes you feel some type of way you know 😌
I wish Bjork would know how MUCH her music have been influencing my life!.. It's everything for me! Hard times, university times, lonely walks in park and around the city, my dreams, my plans and travellings were passed through with her music. Vespertine is so pure, so full of light and love!.. I wish I could hug Bjork tightly and just say THANK YOU for her soul light that she shared with us. I have 5 Gigs of Bjork music on my mp3-player that I always carry with me. :-)
Let's get things straight; Bjork is an amazing artist, completely beyond comparison in my opinion, but she is absolutely not a great singer. Yes, her voice is unique but that is not the same thing as being a great singer per se.

Bjork is one of my most beloved artists but although it's fair to say that her vocal on this performance perfectly serves the song, I think it would be stretching things to say that she is a technically accomplished singer. Put it this way; of all the singers on stage here, Bjork is the least talented. Having said that though, to the best of my knowledge none of them have written songs like Joga, Generous palm stroke, Aurora, Cover me, Isobel or The Anchor song to name but a few.
Who mentioned anything about Mariah Carey?! If Mariah Carey is your idea of a talented singer then your musical opinions are less than worthless to me. Oh, and lest I appear lacking in manners; a very merry Christmas to you.
When she hits that chorus, it just takes my soul for a ride, every single time. This is just totally awesome, even despite the fact that she possesses what I find to be a somewhat awkward sense of stage presence, because you can tell that the music is really the focus instead of her. She is, indeed, a very interesting and unique artist in her own right.
I think what is truly amazing is how she's integrated live musicians and a full orchestra into her music but has kept her sound rather than pandering to what's in fashion at the moment. A true artist.

Even if her voice sucked, her music in general is well arranged. Many elements added to make a simple chord progression sound just beautiful... If her voice does suck, then I'm waiting for someone else who can sing to try and put the same emotion that she herself puts into her songs!
