I could listen to the Raw Heart on its own or Quantum Mystic > Pharaoh all day! Then, with the Wampler added, the tone turns into a full on Candle Goat! Awesome demo!
Hope it’s not weird to comment 3 years later but I just watched this demo and I love it. This pedal chain is VERY similar to my board. Plumes > Raw Heart > SUF Electric Warlord. Rubberneck and Cusack Resound in fx loop. I run a dirty amp with pedals at lower gain and higher volume accept for the QM. I use it with gain high and guitar volume knob rolled back. I actually have the treble at least at noon the way I run the QM. It’s way too dark into my amp when it’s dirty. Maybe that’s why the treble has such a range: to work with dirty or clean amps? Anyways, love your videos!!!
This was unexpectedly good! I never thought stacking the QM into the Pharoah would play nice like that 🤷♂️ Great advertisement for the RH sound wise, however I didn't realise how long it was 🙉 Respect from the long lost land of Australia 🦘🤘
@@OscillatorDevices I use to have the Witch burner>Pharoah>Quantum Mystic and loved stacking the Witch with both of them but always played them seperatly like a sucker 🤦♂️ I've just bought a Son of Pharoah so I'll try to track down a QM again and try your settings, sounds PHENOMINAL!
This is quite literally the best demo channel I've seen for pedals, and this pedal in particular is perfect for the doom/post metal sound I'm trying to get. One question, do you think that the Walrus Audio Fathoms pedal would be a good reverb to layer onto sounds like this?
Actually, I would love to hear some delay and reverb pedals in the mix, too. The doom tone pedals are great, but some ambient tones would be cool to hear in this context. Say for example, an EQD Transmisser pedal would be cool.
Thats great. There's going to be more content and demos for the Garbage Collector. Also a page on the website with all the nitty gritty details is coming in a few weeks.
Love the pedal, and I'm definitely craving it as the cornerstone of a new rig... But the riffs are properly great too. You tried the palisades as a Tubescreamer style boost for the QM, but is there a cheaper alternative of the QM you could pair with a Tubescreamer to create a kind of budget raw heart? I know it says a Ross is based on an mxr distortion plus, but I can't imagine a TS into an mxr distortion plus to sound anything like that! Cheers
Hm, I don't know of anything. I have a 70s Ross Distortion and not even that comes close. I think it's the EQ and the fact, that it comes before the clipping stage.
Love my 620 (drop c) and my Rubberneck, but I'm using a black sheep after an EQD Plumes. I've tried running the black sheep into the rubbernecks loop, but its instant ultra oscillation- But my bad stone phaser and walrus slo sound incredible through it! Rubberneck is always on
You got the sound down man. Sounds sick. I was curious if you are running the amp clean or with some gain. I don't know much about the Roost. Trying to get an idea if I could achieve this sound with a super clean amp setup. Fender twin that is.
The amp is completely clean. The Roost is kind of hiwattish. I have no experience with Fender Twins. It's said that they work well with pedals, but with that kind of sound, I don't know...
@@OscillatorDevices That is sick man. You inspired me to give it a shot and try some of these into a clean amp. I have some pedals that I can use to push them too so this is good to know. Love your vids. Much appreciated.
Great demo man. Funnily enough, I have a QM and used to boost it with a Dunes. I know use it with a Void Electronics Filth Grinder and that combo is just so much sludge it’s untrue.
@@OscillatorDevices it's made in Europe. They're from Finland. I live in the UK and he sent it direct. Its the best "Muff" type pedal I've ever owned. The boost/saturation channel alone works so well with other pedals Where are you based?
@@wulfshead Really?! Finland? Alright, I'm in Germany, so, this shouldn't be very expensive, I'll look into it. Most of the "cool" brands are based in the US and that is a pain in the was with horrendous shipping, VAT and customs.
@@OscillatorDevices are you on Instagram? You'll find him on there. If you can't, let me know and I will find you on there and help you out. Also, do you know Ground FX and Lichtlaerm? Both in Germany and both make incredible pedals!
You're right. I actually saw other demos also with the Treble way up. I already thought about getting in touch with BAT. Maybe theres a wrong cap, or resistor value.
@@OscillatorDevices thatd be awesome if you could. upto you though man! That yob-ish sound is hard to replicate so im trying to get through the little yob tabs there is to try and get the hang of it ha
@@scottkane4516 Here you go: oscillatordevices.com/doc/tabs/BAT_raw_heart_tab.txt Unbelievable that it is already over a year old. It was fun, though to revisit these riffs :)
@@OscillatorDevices you're a star ! Just purchased a drone master and octave master from fuzzlord and can't wait to run them through my raw heart. Gunna be ugly !
Well, I think every TS will do the trick, but slightly different. As I show in the video, the difference between the Palisades and the Witch Burner is there, but not dramatic.
Amazing sound and music! Great videos dude! Do you also have different amps to go through with those amazing pedals? Since I got a Laney GH30R-112 combo I got even more in love with heavy stoner doom sludge stuff. The Laney's distortion works sooooo well the the only fuzz I have, the DOD Carcosa, and the additional feature of pushing the power tubes while keeping the overall volume not too loud its great for tone experiments. Anyway, love your music and videos!
Thanks man, honestly, I never got decent results with fuzz pedals into already distorted amps. It sounds good in the room, but when you try to record it, it's a garbley mess. But well, depends on the amp I'm sure. I had a lot of Oranges and they simply don't work for that.
