If you're native you get it. Our ancestors are proud. We get no respect but we trust no one because who can we trust. Powerful beat. If all the tribes ever get organized one voice, one people the demographics will change. I love this country but the natural resources are being destroyed and the hate runs rampant. Walk the path and honor your ancestors. They had it much harder than we currently have it but they respected the traditions. My grandfather taught me to never forget who I am and where I came from. Chiricahua Apache for life!!
Old beat from the old days our elder women are in the glory n our ones up above are smiling just recently heard this beat again at a Ladies Drum Ceremony miigwetch niishime miikaawaadizii monidoo miigwetch monidoo giizhatoowin bimadaziwin indizhinkaas Jingogabo
In honor of the first people who founded this nation and made it their home for thousands of years I play this video of the black bear group playing double beat and voices ringing. I’m not native but at least I know who owned this land first, the Iroquois confederacy, the Sioux, the Cheyenne, the Pawnee, the Shawnee, and so much more. I commemorate these people and respect their voices and ideals.
I had a chance to see these guys on tv along with Tribe called Red and really enjoyed the tribal sound, mad props to Black Bear, glad i tuned in the night.
Love black bear for many native reasons even though there not blood related they remind me of my family I don’t ever see and this one is dear to my heart
Don't know why but I bawled like a big baby through this one.. so incredibly moving and wrought with such big Spirit energy... man you gotta love it. I know I do.
I agree, tears pour down my face when I hear such moving Spiritual Energy. I am 51 and was denied my heritage for 50 years. I am holding onto to the truth I knew in my heart all along, I am Métis and finally can claim my Roots and I am so Happy and so Proud :)
Wow! (even though I am white, and French... my heart beats at the rhythm of the drum!) And this is the "best double beat " I've ever heard! Thank you, thank you
one the things I remember most is my grandmother's funeral, she had powwow singers there......they sat and sang....it broke me...it affected me tremendously....this is our culture.....when I die................I want powwow singers around my tomb and sing...
Because it reaches into our very Souls. It is a Miracle that Indigenous People have been able to hold onto so many Traditions despite Genocide and the Residential Schools among so many other atrocities. I am 51 and my Métis Ancestry was denied to me for 50 years. I knew all along in my heart and know now without doubt. The First Nations Drum has called to me since I could walk and it always will :)
@@ymatgal Im a white guy from New Zealand, so i have absolutely zero ancestral connection and alot of these tracks make me bawl my eyes out. Not just tear up, but full on sob. I have no idea why. I don't get this response from other music. Beautiful sound though
my grandpa loves this song he found it on fb then I found it on RU-vid and who noticed what the middle ladies shirt said it said straight outta the rez
