I think some people don't understand what this is . it is not in addition to your navigation system, it replaces it. it allows you to have Navigation , all bmw bike info (tire pressure, range...) , and connectivity to the handlebar's wonder wheel , all in one . All this on a mobile phone that you already own, and with navigation apps that can be updated. This is such a clever piece of kit that BMW just released their own version of it last week! mine has been ordered and i can't wait to get it.
Ive had one of these for over 2 years now and find it a fantastic subtitute for the sat navs bmw sell with 10 year old tec for 2030 money. Yes you can go on to most of your apps but should you while riding NO it was developed to take the place of the terible navigators and it asoiated planning program (Base camp) so you can use your phone and any navigation app you wish.
Email t4 days late just wasted a few quid on a new phone holder to fit in the Nav cradle, after my phone fell out of the existing one and got run over and burst into flames. Got a great video though ;)

Just as useless as what’s already on the bike ! Unless you stop for a long time ! Just visit the lap top after a day biking…. I have the new R1250RT and i love it ! First thing I did was turn off the tech and went biking …… Unfortunately biking seems to be about phones and gimmicks and not the ride these days ……
So you spent thousands on tech and didn't use it , all it is for is a device instead of using the nav, nothing worse than being behind someone who's lost let alone if you have low petrol and need to find somewhere, I use a nav to find interesting places
@@911HRW Actually, I would like to use i, but when it lets you down it is frustrating. One day all the tech will probably work seamlessly and I look forward to that day.
@@Ducatijay72 I didn’t choose to spend thousands on tech ! It ‘s part of the bike as standard ! I’m sure your experienced enough to overtake and get to that petrol station on your own without relying on the guy that is lost… :-0
