Chicken Adobo with Onion
Ingredients
4pc bone in chicken thighs
1/2 onion, sliced
6-7 garlic clove
1 green chile, cut in half
½ cup soy sauce
1/3 cup white vinegar
2 bay leaves
2 Tbs cane sugar/brown sugar
1 Tbs oil
Freshly ground black pepper
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Step 1-
In a large bowl, mix chicken, soy sauce, vinegar, bay leaves and ground pepper. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.
Step 2-
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat sauté garlic and onion for few minutes. Add chicken mixture, bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer sauce is slightly reduced, 20-25 minutes. Serve chicken over rice.
