I can't say that I will ever use the information but I find it fascinating. Flashlights have always made me a bit nauseated. I never thought of needing a more stationary one with it. Great review and lots of good tips.

Great review of ICON 700, Richard! For long ultras, I use belt/waist lamps because I find them to be more comfortable than headlamps but I'll have to check out the ICON 700 since you can also wear it on the waist!

Thanks Thomas. I have on Ultraspire waist belt which I wear sometimes. They work well on flat courses for me. I really want to get one of those Kogalla waist lights. Those are very cool. I like a lot of light at night.

This is actually a timely review for me. I need one of these because I often run sets of steps in my local area and it can sometimes be dark if the session creeps later. Obviously step running needs careful running, so I certainly will be looking at these.

I have a few different ones. This one is for running all night. They have some smaller versions (without the back battery pack) which are good for 5-7hrs. Those models have the batteries inside the LED housing. I find it useful for working around the house outside especially at dusk. Have a great weekend!

Thanks Sage. That is a good question. I think it would not work and slipping would be a issue. They don't provide any way to mount it.
