@@nazirulnaim5418 Holding pattern is basically they take up a position either hovering or circling the city, ahead or behind of another helicopter. Holding position and orbiting until they are given orders to either return to base or possibly move in to provide covering fire with their door mounted miniguns for the men on the ground.
@@nazirulnaim5418 it's like circling around the target area until they are given further orders. While circling the perimeter, Delta snipers onboard the choppers will provide aerial sniper cover for the target building and the Rangers.
This is why CNN removed comments during the MH370 event. People kept saying how the article was the same and they were changing the article. People pointing out flaws that CNN couldn't see and people were saying a lot of other things. I think they were losing a lot of high-end clients for ads because of the toxic comments. During the his defense moments, u can see a goggle on his helmet the next moment it's not there, another moment it's there again, the next one not there, about 5 times.

I think the Sgt should’ve waited till the RPG rocket went passed the chopper and after the chopper was dodging the rocket than he would’ve got to repelled down and he wouldn’t have been knocked out so the Sgt should’ve said Blackburn wait don’t go yet because if that was me I would’ve said Blackburn wait don’t repeal yet because theirs an RPG coming at us so I would tell him to wait that’s me and that’s what I would tell him
@@kahoaliiaiu7130 this is assuming the rpg was fired. In real life, we’re not sure what caused Blackburn to fall. Either it was the rpg or simply Blackburn slipping, it is to this day unclear. This was added for more drama
this amazing guyz..ranger we good on ground.. but lack good support from air strike.. n the Somalia militia were to good to use the opportunity to attack rangers on the ground..
@@andrewaltmann9972 by the time they have already return to base if u waited that long. The only reason this kidnap mission turned into a rescue mission bcoz of the black hawks shot down. Originally the mission was supposed to last maximum 30mins.
@@valetyl5673 bcoz Russian forces was not part of UNOSOM or UNITAF. They didn't contribute that's why they are not there. America and other countries did so they are there.

I would say 90% of them yes. There are a few Black Hawks that are also armed with missiles and miniguns on a wing added to the sides of it. I love Black Hawks are cool.
@@agamemnonn1 the 160th also gets to customize their Blackhawks. During this mission, Super-Six 1 had a pair of additional miniguns mounted on the front that the pilot controlled. There's no mention of him firing them.
The Ranger who fell from the black hawk is PFC Todd Blackburn, he was not dead only unconscious and was quickly sent back to base with a column of 3 Humvees. During the journey back a Ranger SGT Dominick Pillar was killed as well.
@@kkrummelrhs What saved him was a combination of luck and falling onto a dirt street instead of asphalt or concrete. Plus, he was wearing his combat gear (Most importantly his ruck and his helmet) and he fell back-first (thus allowing his rucksack and helmet to act as a shock absorber) which cushioned the impact enough to be survivable but with critical injuries. Had he fallen onto pavement or concrete, or fallen face-first, he most certainly might have died instantly. Todd Blackburn survived, recovered and became a Police Officer in Pensacola, FL.
