I dropped my phone and it hit my floor real hard and now it’s all ink spots lol Update! It got bigger and bigger and bigger and now I can’t see have my screen. Getting it fixed soon

Okay so I have a 6s and it’s been used for a couple years and I stepped on the phone 😞 this is the only thing I have to use for my online schoolwork and we do not have the money to replace it so let me just go cry in a corner now

One thing I've noticed is that anytime you put it on charge it gets smaller sooo glad I'm getting a new phone later this year!!!!!

I pulled my phone out of my pocket at the end of the work day about a month ago to find a dime sized black spot on my screen right next to a pre existing crack. It has since subsided and is barely noticeable. It’s just a small patch about a millimeter in diameter.

I didn’t drop my phone, it randomly appeared, there are two and glitchy purple lines at the bottom of my screen

Mine have 2 big black dots on the left side of the screen, green rays on my phone screen most of the time especially on my lockscreen and sometimes the most annoying thing is that my phone keeps clicking random stuff and i'm also afraid of fixing it because i don't want to lose many important things on my phone.

I tripped and fell on concrete, it shattered my iPhone screen. I had it repaired and it was fine, but a few weeks later those black spots appeared and they are spreading. Frustrating! I guess I probably need a new iPhone, no Apple care. Thanks for the video.

I have been an iPhone user since 2012. I have dropped all of my phones and this has never happened. I purchased my 11 maybe 3 months ago and its dropped only a handful of times. My phone doesn't even have any visible cracks on it and now my screen is totally shot? idk, this is disappointing. I feel like they should be able to withstand a little more wear and tear before crapping out.

i tried putting my phone in the sun and it helped alot because the liquid dried out on my iphone xr and then a week later it was fine like new

I have one on my phone and I think its water that got inside the screen, why i can say this is that it was small and it got big and moved away on its current location like a few millimeters.

Actually I have seen this happen many times in everything from an iPod to a Huawei phone, I've seen devices like a Samsung that have a spot like this but no cracks in the glass, digitiser or LCD, just ink that escaped through the edges of the display as a result of pressure or an impact. These ink spots actually are NOT DEAD pixels, the pixels function fine underneath the spot! The ink just obstructs the view. I believe it's possible to get the ink out. If your device has thin enough glass like on an iPhone you can actually massage the ink towards the long edges of the display like the left or right side, where there is less support from the besels, so you can actually apply enough pressure to push the ink into the besels where it leaves the display. This requires hours of pressing on the display and you have to not press too hard but also press hard enough (to a point you see rainbows appear on the screen, but all the marks that appear fade away again over 10 seconds). The ink should follow a grid like pattern as if it's sliding through little rails in the shape of the pixels, it might leave very tiny ink specs behind (the size of a pixel) but those tiny ink specs disappear by themselves over a period of 24 hours. Larger spots you have to try to keep together by pushing the largest ink spot back towards the smaller ones if they separate and then back. DONT DO THIS IF YOU HAVE CRACKS ON YOUR SCREEN. You don't want to crack the glass more by pushing on it or crack the digitiser or LCD panel underneath it because when there are cracks the pressure is not distributed but focused on the seams of the cracks. These spots are not permanent damage, it can be fixed!

Same I just replace my screen protector into new ceramic one and then boom a couple a days I just notice a block spot on my phone and it’s getting bigger!! 😭😭 please help I’ve watch a bunch of videos on how to fix it, like putting it on the sun or remove it by using q-tips and I don’t know if this will work

All I did was just change my screen protector. I did use some force to get the old one off but I didn't hit the screen. After about an hour I noticed a black dot on my screen.

i never dropped my phone, rather put it in charge with direct sun on it and the black spot grew with a sort of yellow flame around it. Its been a week and its reduced considerably. I think something to do with heating issues as well rather than a plain and simple screen replacement issue. Anyone else faced the same ?
