It's hard to remember a Blind Guardian song after just one listen, and their riffs are usually not amazing by themselves as they are as a part of the whole - variations on a theme. They also have quite a lot of sections. Anyway usually it takes a lot of listens to really get it all in your head and I love that. There's still plenty room for analysis after that stage as well... Still I'm happy you appreciated them, and the vocals sure are a highlight.
Might be the first good song they done in 20 years or so. After a friend had bought a night at the opera when it came out we just stoped listening to them it was just horrible endless layering and just to much of everything. This actually sounds rawer and more like the old Blind Guardian to me.
