hi i know this was a year ago, but do you have any resources for care of this species? I may be adopting one soon, he's about a year old and has mild scoliosis. I am trying really hard to find good care guides, as I want him to have a great life!
Thank you, my friend. The Indigo is my grail snake- like I said in my other comment. I wish they were still only $500 😆 Part of me would trade my entire collection for one. But I DO love my Pine and Black Milks. I am envious of you 🙌🏻
@@ClearBrookExotics I will Happily attempt to do some for you. Trouble is my phone/Camera is 3 years old and will delete my. Pics & vids at random.😅🤣🤣. Will do though, will tag you in the post/s💯
@@ClearBrookExotics I got mine from Robert Bruce about 13 or 14 years ago about 4 months before my first human child. Onyx was $950 if memory serves right. He didn't eat for me for two months. This was when he was still a neonate like 16 inches. My good friend and I took a trip down to santa monica where we met Mr. Bruce outside a Porche dealership. ( which I found suiting as I was essentially obtaining a high end "sports car of my hobby"🤣 He's been a Great Snake. A member of the family for sure. One of my Biggest regrets (not big on regrets, but like all humans I have I have a small list) not getting him a female or two. I am confident he's still totally breedable on account of his hardy sperm plugs each year. I would Really recommend getting a pair. Plus your house/office sounds about perfect for how they like it. Your odds for regret are slim my friend.😉😁-Just saying. Also sorry for the Frilled Lizard freakout...but that issue has me steamed😅 Cheers! Will try and get you a vid today👍👍
Nice video! I have either a Mexican black kingsnake or a black milk snake ! Was sold as a Mexican black but unsure as has white spots. Any way to tell difference?
It definitely clumps better- yes. I put the mice or chicks inside a box or large bowl and make sure they are quite dry. If they do drag the feeders out, the chips don’t stick too badly at all.
No no no. You have to start with tact and rapport to get people to take you seriously- save the attack until later. If you TRULY want to educate, you don’t start with such a blunt and condescending remark. Be kind, my friend. Be helpful. Be instructive. Otherwise you simply sound like a jerk. And you are a bit late. She has been in an AP T8 for a while now. Thanks for your concern about my animal. But next time, start with kindness - people might actually open themselves to your kind criticism and help.
@@amazingfact2.271 I meant what I said- thank YOU for the concern for the snake. We have a big responsibility when we take an animal in under our care 👍
Ambient temps between 74 and 78. Heat Mat will be fine at 80 degrees. In the summer, my office stays around 76 (I close my AC vents in there) and I turn the heat off in their enclosure. Congratulations! You will be very happy with your new snake. Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
@@EuphoricOceann Unfortunately not. Nearly all of them reach at least 5 feet, with 6 ft or more not being uncommon. I keep my adults in a 4 foot by 2 foot enclosure.
@@EuphoricOceann I don’t think there is a big difference, from what I have seen. I had a large male about 6 years ago that I STILL kick myself for selling. So I WOULD give the edge to the males if I had to pick one.
She was actually an impulse purchase on the last evening of Repticon here in Knoxville. I did not plan on spending $300, but I talked them down from $500. A yearling female was worth $300 to me. (I will probe her when my kit arrives to verify)
Oh yes. Mexican Black Kings max out at about 4 feet for the largest ones, but adults are generally between 3 1/2 and 4. A Black Milk can be 6 feet and definitely thicker and more muscular.
@@waaahhhl2614 So glad that I could help. I appreciate your time with my videos. I would put this snake up there with a corn snake as the perfect pet reptile.
