I love trying different picks. I like Awe-in-one with different tips on each pick, and they have a variety of materials for the picks I like stone picks, especially an obsidian one I have There’s a double pick that’s no longer made that I love using There are others as well But mostly I use a regular purple Tortex pick
Since i used this Pick Asteroid, this is my favorite one !! after using buffalo,Cow horn ...Dunlop picks ...in différents thickness, models, or marks...This is the most polyvalent Picks you can find . idéal for streaming and solos ...on any guitar...acoustic and électric ... Brilliant review, R.J. I've been trying different picks since 1964, and for me fingers and nails are the best, but I have thin nails, thus I keep trying new picks. The pick I usually return to is the old Gibson Star, the large teadrop, although there are some jazz picks,, the Fender rounded triangle (Gambale's choice,) and the old Herco nylon pick I use at different times. For some reason I never bonded with the standard Fender design. I have used it a lot since everyone has them, buit they have never been near the top of my list of favorites.
It is very rare that any guitarist switches pics when they play. They usually stick with one pick they like and then they may change pics but then they stick with that one pick for a long time.. Almost never see guitar switching pics for different songs.. Very rare.. I will never like a thin pic.. And I will never like a pic that's too flat. Great guitarists know how to grab the pic a certain way make a thick pic with a point sound like a thin thick with varying strength of holding the pick can make a pic sound any way they want if they're good enough. So again maybe for beginners but I don't get it..
