@@bigzach322 it was a once in a lifetime trip. It was my first one so I’ll never forget it that’s for sure. I’d do it again in a couple years probably, the views are just incredible
That was definitely Beastmode getting all those miles in. Especially with the rain. Was enjoying the views before the rain came in. Pisgah is one of my favorite places to go backpacking.
I almost always go solo, so that aspect doesn't bother me. I only carry a rain coat, a couple dry bags, and an emergency blanket when it isn't summer. I don't want the extra weight or volume of an additional shelter.
