The world needs more people like you. It's not because I'm white that I agree with slavery and racism. It actually makes me sick just to think about slavery. I do not care about the color or race. Every culture is meant to be shared and everybody can be racist. New subscriber here I'm happy I found your channel❤
Why are you even talking about slavery? You are aware white people didn't invent slavery? You are aware more white people were enslaved by Muslims? You are aware black people sold black people for booze during transatlantic slave trade?
@missswiss-ds7hn I hear you, am white as well and an so sick and tired of hearing stupid crap about slavery of making us look/ sound bad, that "white people are racist, due to slavery" blah blah blah, yet they don't think twice of maybe their own ancestors sold their own people as slaves? Yet they blame white people instead their own, and while they say "white people are racist" yet I see lot's of black and brown people in interracial relationships/ marriages with white people? But I get it they are trying to wipe out the white race, so they can become the "dominant species" stands why our history is being erase and culture. Just only certain black/ brown people gets it that no matter what race or biological gender you are, we are all humans that are able to be with whoever we want. So my point is people like her in the pink hat or rug thing, she has my respect.
Amen. Anyone can be racist. White, black, Asian, Latinos, etc. I also love how some of these people are so American-centric as if there isn't the rest of the world. We have got to stop playing this stupid game.
I’m white… my family is from Scotland, the people are still under foreign rule.. Scotland was a sovereign nation until James The First when Elizabeth I died. They were until recently forbidden to speak their own language and wear the clothing that was traditional…. Until recently we were considered a different race two… we all bleed red! Thank you for shining a light for us as well as spreading love!! We are better together
What? We are not under 'foreign rule'. We are a significant part of the United Kingdom, Great Britain & the commonwealth. Just to remind you; we also had a referendum in 2014 which we voted by majority to remain within the union. I don't know who you have spoken to but they either know nothing are pushing an agenda or are filling your head up with a pile of shite.
Most people have no idea what your talking about....the Scots, and the Irish....people in the usa only think of blacks as being slaves.....ask most people and they don't know where the word (slave) comes from...
Famine, slavery, forced-conscription, exile, occupation, suppression, colonized, oppression, regression, racial discrimination, prejudice, segregation, and persecution. -The History of the Irish
As a 68 years old black woman, we need to know our history. White slaves with African Masters are factual. We need to stop the racism card and realize we need to learn to walk, talk, and forgive in love. As long as we have breath in our bodies their will be hate on this earth until Jesus comes back. We can make a difference by not judging and throwing actualization to each other and being the better person. Some of these young black people thrive off the past history of Black slaves and these power-hungry people who want control over everything that exists. Learn to love yourself and try to find the good out of the ugly you may be experience. Stop throwing those race card and educate yourself before you speak half truth.
There is a difference between systemic racism and interpersonal racism, but academics in the 70s tried to narrow the definition of racism to only acknowledging systemic racism ( which got wrapped into a Marxist oppressed/oppressor dynamic with no room for nuance). When people complain about the problems with CRT, this is part of what they mean. It leaves no space for an evolving and integrating society.
Systemic racism is bought in when you realise politicians can't make individuals change their racism. So they argue its systemic, because there's no real way of proving it or that their equity policies have been effective. It's immeasurable, like climate change. So they appeal to emotional voters with moral superiority complexes. Makes them feel all good and warm inside. They're being good people. If I'm applying to a college and am white, and I can say I got top marks and all kinds of academic accolades but affirmative action took my spot away and gave it to a less achieved black person, for example, can I claim racism? I don't know of any policies or laws that specify that any race is not entitled to what whites are entitled to. People of all races and religions and sexual orientations come here because there is opportunity for them. Not because they're going to have an impossible time with systemic racism.
Racism a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
You are so awesome! So much so that I didn’t even think twice about supporting you and your shop so I took the plunge to get my first ever Naughty, naughty wanna go potty OK bonnet from you. I saw the moon and stars one and didn’t even hesitate to click add to cart and buy. Thank you for being you. Blessings! 🎀✨💗
One of my favourite MEMES. A young black male is talking to a young white male. The black male says, "You have never been judged by your skin color." To which the white male says, "Just was!"
At the same time in history when Black people came to the USA via the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade, there was slavery taking place in Ireland, via the Barbary Pirates (who where black). They emptied out towns and villages along the coast of Ireland (Look up the Sacking of Baltimore, Ireland) and took the captures as slaves back to North Africa. I realize this is not taught in the educational systems of the USA (how convenient). I also grew up in the Troubles in Ireland, so I understand colonization. None of this would happen, these videos or conversations IF it wasn't for the ignorance of many who have no clue about history, how truly diverse it is right across the board. Many Black people in the USA only know about slavery in the USA and that's all by design.
Culture appreciation doesn't always mean culture appropriation. She preached, and i never once heard a human being preaching better. Everyone is a person with independent thoughts regardless of race. Everybody can be racist, who says the opposite is just helping create a barrier, unfortunately. Our pain as our love should pull us through, she spoken the truths, we are better together.
It always gets me when I see some Black people be racist to other races (other than white) then they go around talking about slavery and racism.... they don't seem to realize other races in different countries could have been slaves too...
Nice review, you know and a lot of people regardless of race don't even realize slavery has been around since the beginning of mankind it's in the Bible it's all throughout history the Scots Irish and English were enslaved by the Turks, people from Scotland and Ireland were brought to this country as slaves, slavery exists today, estimates this is the low estimate but they're close to 700,000 slaves in Africa right now, children forced to fight in armies, adults forced to work in diamond mines. The Romans enslaved every culture they came across, Alexander the Great enslaved half the world. When I graduated high school in 1996 you had to take a world history class in a US history class in order to graduate. In world history you learn that almost every race has been enslaved at one point in time or another. I have native American heritage native Americans weren't even enslaved they were mostly just wiped out. You know I think everybody regardless of race if they don't know the history of the human species if they don't know world history and they don't know US History they should educate themselves maybe they would be less racist once they realize we have more in common as a species.
She tried to use history to justify her view while only knowing a small part of history. Racism isn’t always about skin tone, and what in popular opinion constitutes a “race” has changed plenty throughout history. The holocaust is an obvious example of racism towards people not based on skin tone. Jews, Romani, and really anyone the Nazis considered as an “inferior race.” Physical characteristics were part of the profiling, but only part of it and of course plenty of people didn’t fit the stereotypes they used. There have been plenty of other cases of racism not based on skin color throughout history, the holocaust is just the most prominent one that comes to mind. We as a human race seem to have no problems finding ways to divide ourselves into “us” and “them” and finding excuses to hate each other. But as you say, we are better together, and I have to believe that we as humans can rise above our history instead of repeating it if we choose love and connection more often than hate and division.
It's just offensive. Anyone can be racist to another person. You build your character through life to become a better person , not to pretend your a victim.
I love your philosophy to bring people together. And white people have experienced persecution… look at the Jews in the holocost. In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, more than 300,000 white people were shipped to America as slaves. Urchins were swept up from London's streets to labor in the tobacco fields, where life expectancy was no more than two years. Brothels were raided to provide “breeders” for Virginia. Through most of the 17th century the English lost at least 400 sailors a year to the slavers. between 1 million and 1.25 million Christians were captured and forced to work in North Africa from the 16th to 18th centuries….. just to give a few examples.
Cite your source from the time period you claim this happened. Not from a WS pamphlet recently written. We know how yours likes to change history for your benefit.
Leviticus 13:30 Then the priest shall see the plague: and, behold, if it be in sight deeper than the skin; and there be in it a yellow thin hair; then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a dry scall, even a leprosy upon the head or beard. Many African tribes have blonde hair and dark skin naturally til this day. However, Pale skin and yellow(blonde) hair is a biblical leprosy. Blue eyes are a result of the recessive trait of lack of melanin. She’s just as confused as you do to generations of actual racism.…
Hard to tell if this is pure ignorance or complete arrogance. Either way, neither are good or impressive. The entire 13th chapter of Lev is dedicated to identifying leprosy in many different scenarios. Even among those with pale skin and blonde hair, the signs would just show up even lighter. A quick Google search would corroborate this. This whole chapter is describing a disease, not a race. Stop trying to use one single verse to make it sound that way. Sounds to me like you need to spend more time in scripture. Maybe then you would know that you aren't supposed to distort the Word of God. Here's a few verses to get you started! 2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 2 Peter 3:16 As he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. Romans 16:17-20 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
People keep get being racist & prejudice mixed. Black people can't be racist in America. They can be prejudice. Racism involves prejudice and a policy or a system of governing that favors members of the dominant racial or ethnic group which they are not in America. Black people can definitely prejudice in America. A white person could experience racism if they were in say Nigeria where they would not be in the dominant ethnic group. Racism is based around prejudice and who has control of the power. The comment she made was prejudicial not racist.
Racism and prejudice are entirely two different things. Learn the difference. The definition of racism was change in recent years,(just as the definition of vaccine was changed during the pandemic) to paint the narrative needed for those who benefit from it the most…🤔
