Lol the "abc do-re-mi" line has meaning in Jisoo's song, because what she says after relates to it. She sings something along the lines of "abc do-re-mi, I was simple and nice like this". Jimin used the autotune as an artistic choice. This song was about him breaking free of his depression. So the autotune part was supposed to be a different side of him because everyone thinks he's so soft. His solo album it was a completely different side of him. His album is really good and I related to all of the songs going through depression myself

My first and only time so far going to Coachella was mainly for BP LOL!! The energy weekend 2 was amazing and surprisingly, there were a lot of non-fans that enjoyed BP's performance. It's a bit funny considering how when they were announced as one of the headliners, a lot of people in the community were against it because of their perception of kpop. But after the two weekends, a lot of people came out of it praising BP for their performance, energy and production. The performance you watched was from 2019 when they first performed at Coachella (so the girls were really nervous since to them, people come to Coachella not specifically for BP but for music overall so the pressure to do good was really felt) and then just 4 years later in 2023, becoming one of the main headliners. It's crazy to see how far they've come! And I get what you mean by how the girls could go harder with the choreo, but I personally think it's fine if it's not always hard, ya know? There will be some groups that have harder choreo (and believe me, there are GGs that have pretty hard choreo) and others that are more catchy and easier to learn. What I noticed when it comes to choreo between BGs and GGs is how there's some GGs who do all the typical "BG choreo" and there's some GGs who don't. But then, how many BGs out there are doing "GG choreo"? Everything BGs do I've seen GGs do with ease, just as good, or even sometimes better yet a lot of BGs have trouble doing GG choreo without making fun of it, feeling embarrassed, or just changing it completely to be more complex and hard-hitting even when it doesn't fit the song. In the end, I know it's up to the person's taste on what they like to see in choreo but for me personally, GGs have a lot of diversity with choreo because of the reasons I pointed out and I think it's fine if the choreo isn't always going so hard. (EDIT: LOL did not mean to go on a mini rant here at the end 😅)

trust me there are a lot of girl groups with intricate choreography. bp is just not one of them. i would recommend itzy and recent twice MV. Other than that i would recommend you watch RUN BTS live in Busan , and black swan live performance

One of the things I like most about Blackpink is that they aren’t dance focussed. Lisa is one of the best dancers in the industry and the other 3 members can do their thing, but what separates them from most groups is their stage presence and star quality. They aren’t back up dancers, they’re performers; and heck, they perform the hell out of those songs. In the Kpop world Blackpink is known for their unmatched presence on stage, particularly Jennie. Rosé is dubbed as the ‘Golden Voice of Korea’ - a title given to her by the Korean media, as well as fans, and Jisoo is known for her crazy visuals, as well as her great acting skills. The four of them together create the biggest and most successful girl group Asia has ever seen and one of the most iconic groups of all time.

btw, i see you talking about choreography in girl groups. there’s a japanese girl group called XG that debuted last year. you’ll love their songs and dance performances. it’s quite different and heavier than what’s expected from girl groups.

TBH, I wasn't struck by Jisoo's song, but I know many rave over it - she is actually a really, really good vocalist, with an impressive range as can be heard on "The Happiest Girl" - note, you may need tissues when first listening to it, judging by some other reactors. I agree the song choice may not have been the best - but we all have different tastes, and that's a VERY good thing. Correct me if I’m wrong armies but hoseok did not have braids in the ‘idol’ music video, it was hanging from his hat and It was the stylist that did that. Also I promise you, that bts are one of the most if not the most genuine kind artists out there. They are also charitable, they usually do not publicize their donations but one of the few they have was 1 million dollars to the blm movement and they made a post standing with the movement. After army found out about the donation, they got together and matched bts’ 1 million dollar donation in less than 24 hours. A little background on them, bts were originally supposed to be a hip hop group. Rm and Suga were underground rappers since they were kids. Jimin and j hope we’re dancers pre debut, and j hope learned rap in the dorms with Suga and rm he is also a sub vocalist. Jimin is a vocalist and part of the dance line. Jungkook is a vocalist and the maknae (youngest) and also part of the dance line and a sub rapper, and Jin is a vocalist and the oldest hyung (older brother), V is a vocalist and part of the dance line. They all are dancers but there are only 4 members part of the “dance line”. They all write, produce, and compose their songs (with the help of their lovely team ofc). Suga has even won awards for producing others artists songs. They have spoken at the United Nations 3 times, been invited to the White House to speak about anti-Asian hate crimes and Asian inclusion. They were given diplomatic passports and were named “special presidential envoys” for spreading Korean culture and music across the world. They have helped so many people, with their music being about self love, injustice, societal issues, and mental health. Also they have great respect for black culture and black artists. Rm and Sugas biggest inspirations being Nas, Eminem, Snoop, Kanye, ASAP, J. Cole ect. J hope’s biggest influence is j Cole and they even have a song together that came out earlier this year called “on the street”. They ALWAYS credit their influences in their music and show respect to the culture they got their love for music from. Kpop now doesn’t really appreciate black culture, they only want the “aesthetic” 🙄. Also Jimin was top of his class at his art school and majored in contemporary and modern dance. J hope came from a hip hop dance background. They built their way up organically. They’re company was so small in the beginning and was millions of dollars in debt. They all shared one room in a small dorm. They lived hours away from their families for years as a trainee and even after their debut. Most of them came from poor families, Suga worked multiple part time jobs and he would go days without eating because he didn’t have enough money to pay for food and would get ripped off when he would try to sell his songs, on his delivery job before debut he got hit by a car and he shattered his shoulder. He hid it from the company scared that he would be let go. He didn’t tell them till later and the company paid for his college tuition. He did extreme performances for almost a decade with his shoulder being injured. It got so bad he couldn’t even pick up a water bottle. He finally got surgery back in 2020 thank god. I know my comment is long but this is only a few things that show how talented and hard working and kind these 7 men are. I could talk about them for hours, that is how much they mean to me. 💜

I will anyday choose typegirl choachella performance than any other dancing video. I like when artists incorporate their countries dance style, that's so artistic. There is also more to the only pleasing ur eyes.

I highly recommend watching the live version of BTS song Your Eyes Tell if you want to really hear their vocals. Also their live performance at the 2019 MMAs or their Grammy performances. They are amazing live! They are the kings of K-pop.

Blackpink has been expelled from kpop society for not following any of kpop standards. So no need to compare them with other kpop groups. They made space for baby monster and busted left towards EU and US where they find much support from new non-kpop Blinks. I hope they create their own agency in Paris so you can't call them kpop anymore and they won't need to tell you about their financials.
