This song reminds me of driving my brother to his chemo treatments. When it came on the radio he would tell me to turn it up. My brother passed away February 2022. This song brings back the good memories of my brother and his love of music. He was 54.

Just when I think this song couldn’t get any better I come across this live version, absolutely incredible

These words say to me that he loves all the colors of people and all the colors in nature and all the colors in his neighborhood - and even if he's down and out, he's happy about life. I don't know if that's meaning writer intended but that's how I feel about it. I hope he gets filthy rich from this song. He should have gotten more fame immediately. I wish a song just like this had been around in the 70's because this says exactly how I felt and no one understood me then; not family, very few friends. I was so hated that I had to get job and apartment before graduation and not even attend my own graduation. This song makes me both happy about the song and sad about my life but I'm going to be playing it forever.
