Yah they know that only God's Judgment is the perfect way to make them war pigs pay for all the pain, suffering and death they caused. Jesus will be their final Judge and will have those war pigs begging for the mercy they never showed anyone else, and then they can spend eternity in Hell being in torment with their hero Lucifer/Satan. :)))
@@tomcabrera8223 actually it was politician's who labelled them satanic, back when they dared to speak the truth, the guitarist of Sabbath who wrote all there songs was actually deeply religious, understand?
I know you like all genres of music as much as I do. If you’re not familiar with the proto punk band Death you should look into them. They were an African American band that somehow got lost in music history until recent years. People drop a lot of white rapper stuff on the Hall family so I hope LFR Jojo sees this and checks them out.
Just wanted to shine some light on African Americans who influenced punk rock the way a lot to people are shining light on The Beastie Boys contributions to hip hop. Bad Brains were pioneers of hardcore punk & actually influenced the Beastie Boys so this is all tying in. Music is awesome for many reasons, one particularly powerful reason is that it brings all people together when done right.
@@thedudeabides4829 I haven't heard of them, might need to check them out. I think most Punk was based on the sound of the British rebellion and attitude that began in the mid 60s with The Rolling Stones and The Who. That sound also took formation in America amidst the Civil Rights movement with The Stooges and MC5. If Death were somewhere in there but aren't recognised much today, it may be due to their label Columbia Records refusing to promote their stuff because of the name Death. A bit ahead of their time with the name probably, though of course you also had The Grateful Dead around this time.
Death is something special. The song "Politicians In My Eyes" is a great one to check out. And yes! Sabbath took that loud Clapton blues/Cream-thing and maximized the groove pocket and the blues tonic--kinda like AC/DC did for Chuck Berry rock n' roll. And the Beasties are mostly "right place right time". They did do some high-quality early recording production and were early mainstream hip-hop ambassadors, but like in a lot of early music the first person to do a thing is sometimes overlooked for the first person that becomes FAMOUS for doing a thing. We all remember Motown but forget about Sam Cooke. We all know Nirvana but forget about Husker Du. It is what it is, but hopefully we learn to preserve our collective memory/history better.
@@geraldhallahan5270 Most times, it doesn't matter who did what first. It matters who popularised it to inspire others to do it too. If the Vikings hadn't abandoned the Americas, they would have been seen as the founders of the new world, but they didn't. Same with music genres. Sabbath weren't the first to make heavy music that would be considered Metal, even The Beatles got there before them with Helter Skelter. But it was the way Sabbath went about it to make it their signature sound plus having a knack for writing great songs, melodies, and riffs that made them the pioneers of the genre. It's like the Bitcoin conundrum. No one cares that you had Bitcoin when it was essentially worthless. It's those who saw hope in it and saved up that got wealthy as the value increased exponentially.
@@doghouseriley4732 I mean murdering people and using human beings as pawns to preserve your own power seems like a pretty awful way to carry out that ideology, Thanos.
It’s also intensely supremacist. Like, we need to fight this war, and these people need to die because you’re unhappy. It’s weird because we are one world. We are the human race. The Depth of that conversation was not ideal.

@@PMEgan64 the only difference with the Roman's though in comparison is that the Roman's loved peace. They fought with unmatched ferocity and it they wanted a country they took it, but they loved peace more. They also just happened to be really good at war.
Ditto myself. I actually thought it had something to do with Scientology when I was at an event and everyone was going around and asking everyone else if they were “woke”. Maybe because there was a Scientology booth at the event and I stayed as far away from it as possible.
The term "Woke" has been hijacked. Anyone who listened to the lyrics of music from most music from 1965 - 1996 were "woke" to the bullshit the system was trying to force down our throats. Nowadays, the term "Woke" means that your mind has been hijacked to think a certain way. Equality doesn't matter, equity doesn't matter. It's all about making "certain demographics" feel special, and that they are actually ABOVE everyone else simply because they have experienced a very minor level of oppression. Thing is, they couldn't survive REAL oppression if it came knocking.
I more worried that it sounds like you disagree with the song or that the Vietnam war was a bad thing lol... besides that factoid from the other... reply-er(?)
Communism was a very real threat to the world. It is now coming into the world through our Universities and using Critical Race Theory to make people feel oppressed. Like how a union comes into a workplace and convinces people they are oppressed. Same tactic. “You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” Genesis 3:4-5 NLT bible.com/bible/116/gen.3.4-5.NLT Beware of snakes promising supposed rights, benefits and money. They are like the Serpent. The ones saying cut taxes and the budget are looking out for you generally speaking. Down with being woke unless it is being wakened from your Sin that Jesus died to save us from.
The Government don't care about skin shade when it comes to poverty. Poverty does not discriminate on skin shade.. only color the government cares about is green (money) and red (blood). So sad.
Love the powerful tone they have. Heavy kids , real heavy. Vietnam war was on everyones mind at that time. Respect to all our veterans , past and present.
These guys were born shortly after World War II. They were children growing up in a bombed out city. War was a very deep part of their childhood. Side note...The guitarist lost the tips of two fingers on his right hand in a work related accident at 17{ he is left handed, so...}
When my daughter was little, she kept asking my mother in law, a minister, for "The piggy song". DAYS of searching for childrens songs leads to a very angry toddler who cannot hear her favorite song and a very frustrated grandma. Then Daddy pulls into the parking lot one day playing War Pigs and she screams "Mimi! Mimi!!! The piggy song!" And starts singing in perfect tune.
When being woke had a real meaning and stood for something Now a days being woke is just a Trend to Appear like you care when In reality they don't have a clue what they protest.
The Rich people who endanger freedom and are pushing equality of outcome and other Marxist ideas are the biggest danger to mankind It is inevitable that War will exist on earth. Humans are stained with sin. Whether it is a crony capitalist who loves Trump or a leftist who loves Bernie. Ask yourselves whether Jesus approves of their platform. I think there are people who are trying to divide us on purpose. Critical Race Theory is not healthy for America. The gospel of Jesus Christ can unify. When France is worrying about CRT/IS coming there and dividing them into the oppressed and oppressor class. It is just textbook Marxism. Textbook Satanic tactics. Make America Godly Again. Church will be suffering persecution soon, unless it adopts Government restrictions. Anyway. The musicianship of this song is amazing. Use of black gospel influece ie guitar response during certain verses like a sermon almost.
Really?I see it all around me today, wars, masks, control of the population, surveillance, and military protecting the elites in their towers, look at the Whitehouse🤷
Young Brother you've got just a piece of the lesson from this song. Read about even though I would prefer that you read the books. One of them is 1984. The other is called the other is animal Farm.
Other Black Sabbath songs to check out: Paranoid, Iron Man, Electric Funeral, Hand Of Doom, Fairies Wear Boots, Black Sabbath, N.I.B, Sweet Leaf, Children Of The Grave, After Forever, Into The Void, Changes, Supernaut, Snowblind, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Symptom Of The Universe, Heaven And Hell, and many more great songs!
I remember seeing solo Ozzy in the 90s in Sydney and from out of nowhere, they start playing Into the Void. It's not a well known song outside of the Sabbath fanatics which is what surprised me that hey chose that one. I was so happy!
The first Heavy Metal Band ..... Ozzy Osborne their lead singer is still touring ..... you can’t understand a word when he’s talking due to all the drugs he used in the 60’s 70’s 80’s but when he gets on stage man he can still rock and you understand every word
I grew up listening to this stuff. So I never classified it as heavy metal. I just knew it as rock. Like when grunge rock started I just called it alternative rock because of the radio station I found it on. But to me, rock is rock. The only sub-genre I can't get into is screamo because I can't hear what they are saying. I don't like being screamed at.
I saw one of their first concerts in San Diego around 1970 - the warm up band was called Sweathog. Don’t remember too much though....I suspect a lot of us didn’t remember much.
This is so much fun watching these videos, it's like having a little brother discovering precious records stashed away. Suggestions: Smoke on the water(Deep Purple) and Whole lotta Love(Led Zeppelin), those must ring a bell!
Not only are they a rock band, they are the greatest band of all time. They invented the heavy metal genre as we know it. This song is so true today, as it was when it came out 50 years ago.
This song IS just as relevant for everyone today as experiencing it today just as it was when it was created. I am 51 and I grew up on listening to all rock including Black Sabbath. History only repeats itself. The global government has not changed, nor will it. There will always be wars and the impoverished will always have to fight them. I was one of the foolish that enlisted at 17 and was on my way to basic training at 18. I was enlisted foe 5 years and was in the first Gulf war. There are so many others who have way worse stories than mine..... but yes I was seduced to thinking I was fighting for a noble and worthy cause. However, I understand that wars only line the pockets of wealthy, evil, and vile politicians. Despite being raised by a very racist family, I had become FAMILY with every race, color, religion and gender by serving in the military; and I now served that government like a slave. Now that same government has tried continually to separate and divide me from my colored brothers and sisters. I am angry. They are war pigs still today! And this young guy see it for what it is today.... so yeah it IS relevant because government hasn’t changes a damn bit.
It is fantastic that you are allowing yourself to listen to music you normally wouldn't. All of us should do things like this. Take us out of our comfort zone.
The only thing with video songs is people watch the video but don't pay attention to how good the song is. You did a pretty decent job of not doing that.
No he didn’t - He talked about the dumb video through all of Ward’s crazy drum fills. He barely commented on the actual music, just the lyrics and video.
@@jzeke1712 Comparatively speaking I guess is what I was saying. I know RU-vid will block some artists songs unless the are accompanied by an "official" video but more times than not, reactors yap about the video and pay no attention to the song. Sabbaths' stuff can usually be done from their studio albums without having to deal with annoying videos and being blocked. Queen's "I want to break free" is a good example of how distracting videos can be.
I actually wish it would make it through the ranks of reactors to avoid this video. It really has nothing to do with the song other than showing some government stormtroopers and a bit of a tank. I've seen it completely get visually analyzed over the content of the song more than a few times. I have come to detest the existence of this fan video. I almost didn't even click on this reaction because I saw it in the thumbnail. I didn't finish because of it.
Man loved ur Elvis ”in the ghetto” video and i loved this one. Man u are so openminded and gives every ”kind of music” a chance. Keep it up dude! Sending ya love from Sweden!✌🏻🇸🇪
This is pretty much everyones first Black Sabbath song. I remember hearing this when I was in 6th grade in 1982. The other song that could qualify would be Iron Man
Hay i think the breakdown u do during the song is grate! I never noticed the poster looking over the workers b4. All your video are good, your dad is pretty good too.👍
They do it because we let them. We fall for the BS that keeps us hating each other and they profit from misery. When you control everything it's easy to keep people miserable.
I like watching your commentary on these! I'm middle aged and grew up with a lot of the songs that you're now listening to for the first time and I love your reactions and how you see their relevancy/fun/contribution to the music scene. FYI Faith No More does a cover of this song and I like the drums in that more. But yeah this song came out decades ago. Enjoy!
So awesome watching your reactions and realizing what's actually been going on in this world that we haven t got right in thousands of years.. Love your reactions too!! I just subscribed to you..
Yesssss I’m so happy you immediately understood what this song was about. Metal or hard rock or whatever in general is about sticking it to the man, so to speak. You’ve become my favorite reaction channel quick
Many of us are so fortunate bro. It's good to acknowledge that. People who fall on hard times or get caught up in crazy circumstances beyond their control often say that they didn't recognize when times were good and how fortunate they were in those moments. Props for being so self aware and for giving older tunes like this a listen.
We don't "send the poor" any more. We didn't even send only the poor back then either. The draft was totally random but, there were more "options" for the politically connected, wealthy or not. Our military is TOTALLY voluntary now.
I beg to differ..... try living in Deshler Ohio. AKA “corn city, USA” all you are ever taught is PRO-USA from the time you breathe your first breath until you walk out your parents front door. Maybe now they have the internet. But brainwashing is a real thing. I am a product of it. You are taught one viewpoint even in public schools and there is no other viewpoint. There is no Democratic Party, there are no such thing as LGBTQ, or minorities, or true science a lot of times. There are very real instances where families do not apply for help or services because they are too proud to get food stamp or welfare. I was raised that way. No electric or gas heat my entire life until I moved out on my own. Just coal and wood.... in -20 degrees with the wind howling 20-30 MPH, and all huddled up around a stove trying to keep warm. I think that probably qualifies as poverty. And guess which poor morons enlist it “fight for their country???” Me! Yep....morons like me. Corn-city brainwashed poor folks. And no, not everyone in the military is like me..... but do a statistical search in the socioeconomic background of the enlisted males/females not the officers, but enlisted. See what happens.
@@angelasanchez4413 you weren't conscripted. You volunteered, how is that "differing" from my statement. Doesn't make you a moron, Angela. I'd say it makes you smart to recognize the opportunities that the military can provide. I was drafted and I wasn't poor.
u are right spot on man, the stuffs real, it aint no lie!!!!!!!!!!!! love ya bud, u have made youtube alot more interesting for more me- im woke, really woke

@@elbruces I think this depends on how deep one wants to go.....sure, obviously they are different...for starters they are different words!....and true they have "different" structures when implemented, and have different definitions.....however.....from the perspective of a philosophical foundation, both can be traced back to Hegel.....both, when instantiated.....exemplify Hegels notion of the State as the ultimate expression and vehicle for progress(i.e. the individual is nothing!!).....both always end up competing for the peoples fealty with any in situ religion or cultural worldview extant.....these are some essential commonalities which are far more impactful for the average citizen than more obvious structural differences....these are essential commonalities which are the causal factors in the human pain and suffering which invariably results.
@@francishuxley5928 If someone actually wanted to "go deep" on it, they wouldn't have provided that heavily cherry-picked list that you did up top. Any form of totalitarianism is bad. And in history, there have been some in the name of socialism. And some in the name of fascism. But also a LOT in the name of capitalism.
I was 14 when this song came out in1969. Vietnam war was going on and we had a draft. In 4 years I’d most likely going. A war which our hands were tied behind our backs. Our criminal politicians didn’t give a shit. It was just more money for the war machine. Another good war time song would be CCR’s Fortunate Son.
What a marvelously empathetic young man you are! You’re feeling what good people feel: awareness of ones own blessings and how they are by no means universal. By the way, that sign? In German it reads “Arbeit macht Frei,” and was posted in concentration camps where of course there was no freedom to be had. Again, you nail the scene here and capture what it must be like to be someone stuck in a sweatshop. This is one of the best anti war songs ever. It’s Ozzy Osborne singing lead.
I remember this from the 70's. I wasn't woke then or now: just aware of the injustices in society and do my best to live a good life. If that's woke, then I am awake.
Interesting stories regarding this band: In 1965, guitarist Tony Iommi was working at a factory, cutting sheet metal. He was about ready to leave the job because he joined a band and was ready to travel the world. However, on his last day, they put him on this big metal hammer that smashes down to cut the metal. He never used this before so he was unsure of how to use it. He pushed the metal through for the hammer to come down on but he pushed to far and it dropped on his fingertips. He yanked his hands back instantly and it ripped off the ends of his fingers. His doctors told him that he may never be able to play guitar again, but he never quit. He melted some old bottle caps onto his fingers and added some leather for the grip and proceeded to play the guitar. Eventually, he detuned his guitar to adjust this sound to make it much lower and thicker. He single handedly invented Heavy Metal this way and it became one of the biggest genres in music! Tony Iommi is the Father of Heavy Metal! Another name that you might actually recognise is their singer Ozzy Osbourne. This was his band back in the day and he became one of the biggest names in Metal. Their Bassist Geezer Butler is also notable for supplying the dark elements of their sound. He was fascinated with Black Magic and Witchcraft in his youth until one day Ozzy gave him a 15th Century-like Satanic Book written in Latin and showcasing numerous drawings of Satan. The book gave him a very weird feeling. That night, he awoke from a horrible nightmare and then found a Black figure at the foot of his bed, just standing there and staring at him. He panicked and got up to find the book and get rid of it, but both the figure and the book disappeared. He told the story to his bandmates and they were terrified. So they had Ozzy's dad forge four metal Cross necklaces for them and they wore them ever since. Ozzy was the most intrigued by the story that he wrote a song after that. The song was called Black Sabbath, which inspired them to change their name. That became the first true Metal song and it frightened their audiences every night they played it. But many started to love it and it quickly became their new sound, changing from their original Jazzy-Blues sound.
It’s good that you’re seeing with your eyes closed and hearing the voices with no one speaking. This history circling back around and it’s with no one learning from our mistakes.
