Love your walk through and setup videos....would love to see a Black Series Alpha walk through and setup...especially a setup one to have an sense of how long it takes. Keep up the incredible job you do.
Is there no on-board generator? I thought I saw another video on the HQ19 that said Black uses a diesel genny? But not on the HQ21? Also, the downloadable manual mentions 4 x 150w solar panels. It looked like there were only 2 on this unit?
Did I miss the info about the solar panels on the roof? Also could you add more solar and batteries to run the ac and heat off solar? Looks like there was plenty of room for a few more batteries where the inverter was
Check out Minuet 08:19 We talk about everything on the roof, including 2x 150watt solar panels. This unit come standard with 300watts of solar and 4 AGM batteries, however, you can ask your local dealer to see what modifications are available.
Awesome work! But I have to ask... Why not an enclosed undercarriage and ducted heat into the area so you could camp without being connected to city or generator power? Yes... I know. 12v tank heaters. So I’m guessing a few hours run time before your batteries die.
Cause they're made in, if not modeled after, the Australian made "caravans" which classically don't have an enclosed, insulated, or ducted underbelly. Because they're not really made to withstand freezing temps, which they don't see where they come from. Unfortunately!!!!
@@tannerannichiarico7255 - Excellent answer! At their price point, that’s a deal breaker as less expensive units such as Ember, also are dry camp capable AND have better cold weather abilities. Thanks!
How do you get on the roof to clear snow, leaves etc from the solar? I don't see any kind of ladder? Do I have to add one that takes up storage space? Hummm..

Our manufacturing is in City of Industry, CA. However, our location is currently closed to the public. We do have various dealerships throughout the USA. Here is a link to a list of our dealer. www.blackseriescamper.com/rv-dealers.html
Go ahead and keep deleting my post. Black Series has the worst QC of any US overland camper company. Expect to pay an extra $5-10k in repairs and simple maintenance within the first year to have people come fix what was done incorrectly from the dealer. The wiring is a disaster, especially in regards to the solar and battery situation. The AC they use is one of the worst models available to commercial RV dealers. They're the ONLY overland trailer in the US without an awning that can be secured to the trailer itself. Their suspension, while truly independent as they claim, is nowhere near what you'd find on similarly priced campers from Opus, Bruder, or Patriot, the last of which by the way you can have imported to the US and still costs less than Black Series, and includes a whopping 10 year warranty that Bruder does honor globally. When you buy a Black Series you're essentially getting a $45k trailer worth of quality for a $90k+ price tag.
