Mon 6-18-18 Walmart had (2) D.V. black series helmets for $99.00 & 1 Dewback black series for $57.00 in the toy aisle today, locked to the shelves with cables. I bought 1 helmet & the Dewback after checking ebay SOLD ITEMS prices.
@@lorenzodirr2722 close, he always has a respirator going, but its not always hooked up to the suit, it can be a breath mask that works in conjunction with the life support actually built into him (his lungs are ridiculously scarred from breathing in volcanic gasses/the flames from catching fire and have been partially replaced, as well as him not being able to catch himself falling meant he crushed his (IIRC) C3 and 4 vertibrae and substantially damaged his C2, meaning he's unable to breathe or even talk unassisted. He's not just had all the limbs cut off, he's also a quadriplegic). Those chambers, on the other hand, are filled with the same pressurised gas his suit is, as is necessary for a burn victim of that calibre, and is just so he can exist outside of the suit. Vader got absolutely fucked up.
I usually hate reviews, but this was a great review! I don't even remember hearing the words "cool" or "nice"! And I actually cracked up when you said "let me look on you with my own eyes". Thanks! I think I'm going to buy this tonight.
I own a Black Series Darth Vader helmet which I have used for cosplay, and I think it's great. I must confess though, I had no idea that the 'jaw' could separate from the helmet!
@@castielffboi that's his business. For an adult with a full time job, $100 isn't that much for something that he enjoys. I don't understand why yall care some much how he handles his toy that he paid for.
"You already have Luke. You were right, you were right about me. Tell you're sister.... you were right." - Kit Man, imitating Darth Vader to Luke Skywalker
6:07 - 🤣 that was great. Not just an awesome impersonation, but the hand gestures you made when you said "alter it any further." Like Vader is just making up intimidating shit on the spot. [I don't know, ummm...here's something ominous I could say]
No lie from watching this video I wanted to get this, plus I got a good deal cause somebody at Walmart messed up the box but lucky the product is ok so I got it for 39 bucks so that's a steal ;)
Online, the pics make the mask look terrible. It looks matte black with no gloss or shine at all to the mask (which is why I went searching for a video like this). Only $100 and people are complaining it has no voice changer? $100 is super cheap, I already have a proper fiberglass lifesize mask but I don't think I could walk past one of these in a shop and not buy it. Thanks for the review, it's just plastic right? I don't know why so many people are going on about the way you're handling it.
It looks great but it would be really cool to have a remote that controls the voice so you don’t have to push a button on your neck every time to make the sound
Cold Shiny it's not movie accurate at all. At first glance, the dome flares out too much, the face is too wide, and the cheeks are symmetrical. Plus it's plastic. There's a huge difference between purchasing a $100 toy and a screen accurate prop replica. For what it's worth, it's a cool toy to remind someone of the awesomeness of Darth Vader. The amount of time needed to mod this to make it 501st eligible or screen accurate would be more than just buying an Anovos or even more accurate 3rd party master. Regardless, anyone can see through Crabbok's giddiness that he's happy with his purchase.
Dome flare it’s exactly as my efx limited , and my cast from original gs helmet, both the most accurate helmets someone could get , the problem it’s the dome itself to small , I fixed mine to correct proportions and also extend the neck , paint it add metal greeblies , and then you have a nice helmet for 100 bucks , but it took over a week to make it look better , www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=289354&page=3, mask it’s bigger than the accurate ones like 4 cm wider in the mouth
rodrigo quesada isn't efx limited an ANH Vader? GS is ROTJ correct? Black Series seems like an ESB/ROTJ hybrid. Mass produced, Anovos ESB Vader trumps Black Series. With Anovos, efx, and GS, you're talking a superior product, a huge leap from a Hasbro toy to a prop replica. Still, if the owner is happy, it's all that matters!
darthweezy I never said I wasn’t happy with my black series actually it looks great with the mods I did , it’s currently displace side by side with the others , gs is jedi dome with anew hope accurate to every scratch mask , the main difference about Jedi and ebs helmet , it’s the dome it’s higher , mouth and chin grill on mask are silver in jedi, Jedi features of face mask are more rounded perhaps sanded cleaned , I love all the black series products , include these lid , with some time it’s looks amazing
I just bought one and was delivered today. I will set it as a display in my backyard bar...Only question I have is do I save it in the box instead and in 20 years it's worth a gazillion???? hahaha!
..that At-At behind you really kept getting my attention for some reason! Its just classic and iconic. What toy version is it?..potf...legacy collection?
That is very cool. Instant cosplay awesomeness. And such warmth is not bad in a freezing convention hall. Always freezing my tail off with my costumes. Lastly, do not miss the gas masks at all. Good to hear Vader does not fog up so much.
Freezing your tail off and Convention halls? I guess you haven't been to any conventions in Florida laughing my ass off you won't be freezing down here
I want to use this mask to make a positive pressure helmet to protect myself from the coronavirus. I wear two small five gallon tanks, and a air pump. I'm not going to go into the the specifics, but all I have to do is walk away from the crowd to refill the tanks. There will be no need for mask fittings or filters. Just batteries for the airpump.
Chris Robbins Good idea and all, but it has breathing holes, but yeah for extra air that would be good for like being hot though. And plus that’s gonna be REALLY heavy, the air tanks are, unless you had wheels, but that would still be outrageous heavy, and very expensive your probs gonna spend 3000$, and how you gonna keep air with you? I don’t know how, make it In a video maybe
Just buy an actual hazmat suit, bud. Would be cheaper and work better, as you'd never be able to achieve positive pressure with this. Also positive pressure for extended periods fucks you up. Unless you're also planning on building a hyperbaric decompression chamber.
Handle that helmet carefully, in the 4:22 minute when you disconnected that part of the helmet, when wounded Vader's breathing sounded, it looks like you damaged it!!! XDXDXDXDXD
You either got this for free or don't give a shit bout scratching that thing. Tears off the tape (potentially damaging a collectible box, bit goes and gets cutters for a twist tie that can be simply untwisted. Dude, really?
I’ve been consistently pleased with the Black series gear. Have the classic stormtrooper helmet, the xwing pilot helmet (its misprinted as ‘Poe Dameron’’- dunno who that is- obviously it is based on the greatest xwing pilot of all time. The man, the myth, the legend: Jek Porkins.), and Kylo’s saber. They increase the awesomeness of my Battlefront livestreams by ~1000x. I really want the Kylo helmet but I can only find it on Amazon for $300+.... I mean, I enjoy pretending to be Kylo Ren as much as the next guy- probably well above average in that department actually- but come on, man....
5:45 Imagine that, Vader looking to palpatine and doing that. -Is my voice on?- Darth says -I think so - Palpatine -I just need to fit it - try a little more that way -Ok i get it. -now you did
Submerged in a bakta tank. Also, he doesn't sleep often (he is in constant pain from his suit, its made that way on purpose btw, pain causes anger, anger helps fuel his dark side powers).
I would love to get one of those! Only problem is I too wear glasses (thick black plastic frames, not thin metal frames) and I cannot see without my glasses lol
