Star Wars The Black Series Unboxing and Review Clone Wars Maul Aayla Secura Migs Mayfeld Axe Woves Grand Inquisitor (Kenobi) Greef Karga and Grogu More Star Wars Black Series: www.landspeede... / landspeederluke
These latest mainline waves have been amazing and this one looks like no exception, truly superb. Most hyped for Maul, Aayla, and the Grand Inquisitor.
My dude, I gotta say you have one of the best Star Wars black series collections I’ve seen and your one of the best black series reviewers. You channel is classy and very informative. I love watching your videos. I can’t wait to get woves and maul in my collection! Keep up the great work man!
I couldn't imagine paying $28 for Grogu. He should either come in a pack with The Client or Mando but, as a solo figure; it's a waste. But, overall this wave looks awesome. I'm really looking forward to getting Darth Maul and Axe Woves although, I think he should come with another gun.
Mike Kaess is awesome. His point about the 90 degrees was a different perspective not correction. Action figure reviewers were discussing the angle the hand traveled in relation to the elbow. So it’s more about range of motion than the angle an arm makes.
Great review! I may have to find some replacement leges for Ayala. They look really dated in my opinion and also no butterfly joints. Ugh. Oh well better than nothing.
Finally!; 6" Secura; someday we'll get Shaak Ti and Luminara Unduli; I remember being a fan of the female Jedi during the prequel era (Rey the first female? Hahahaaa)
Excellent video, Luke! I really wish they'd ditch the removable helmets and just do a solid helmet sculpt to ensure proper proportions/no warping and simply have an alternate head. Another amazing mainline wave! Maul, Aayla, Axe, and the GI are my highlights! As others have pointed out...I don't know what they were thinking with that Grogu. It is probably the firs big mainline "miss" since the new galaxy packaging. What a dud. -Justin
Another great review! I'll probably get them all. I'll wait to get Gogru when he's on clearance! Unless I get him through a different manufacturer. Enjoy your Vacation!
I'll admit--having a Grogu in a sitting position is pretty tempting in terms of display possibilities. Hearing that there was supposed to be a closed eyes head is so disheartening, though, as that would have increased my personal interest in it much more. Despite that, I am excited to get (I'm now realizing) most of the figures in this wave--especially Maul, as my Ahsoka has been eagerly awaiting her dueling partner.
Awesome review! Can't wait to get these. Might have to grab 2 Grand Inquisitors so I can have a Kenobi version, and a Rebels no-cape version, then give the cape to Second Sister since she has that plastic cape. Or maybe even Moff Gideon?
Hello Luke thanks for sharing your thoughts on this new wave of figures. I'll probably get the whole line except for Grogu unless I find him on clearance for $10 maybe $15. Some really nice sculpt work and paint apps for the most part, some figures could use a little work. Always enjoy your videos. Take care Luke, Tom
Barring Grogu, some fantastic looking figures. I'm one of the people that hate the Y-Jointed hips. I find them awkward to pose and if you have a character with stripe down the leg like the Imperial Patrol Trooper, then it breaks the flow. Re: Axe Woves (another must have), I'd be tempted to add some modelling putty inside to make a snug fit.
Great reviews as usual, you have earned yourself a break, have a good vacation. Love the black stands you are using in the video, are they your creation? Also, now I'm worried about Grogu being a super duper peg warmer, I just ordered tons for my store 🤣🤣NOOOOoooo!!!!!!
This would have been a full case purchase if not for that crappy Grogu. That release is insulting. Everything else looks great, except for Axe’s helmet. I really wish they stop doing removable helmets and just do separate heads. Maul has been one of my top 3 wants forever so I’m glad he looks great.
I preordered the entire wave but will have to cancel due to poor money managing skills, the amount of product coming out. And the fact that I must have two (maul and mayfield) really want two (axe and secura) the head inquisitor is a want but low on the totem pole, and of course I want Greef, but we all know he’s going on clearance so yeah. I was looking forward to getting this box but due to money/space I’m actually trying to downsize my TBS collection. Went hard for boba Fett and kind of regret it, not sure if I’m even going to chase Cobb. Wasn’t the biggest fan of Kenobi which hurts on so many levels not even sure if I’m going to pick up one of the new kenobi figs. (I have almost all of other kenobi figs) Now the grogu, I was actually pumped for this release when I heard the rumors of a Grogu figure with accessories, and then I saw the package and saw what they meant by accessories. Easy pass. It’s so easy to fall for the buy them all craze, and I love world building, and even the characters I don’t care for look and feel good, at at the same time having them kind of brings down the value of the rest. I hope that makes sense.
Picking up the inquisitor and maul. We need a Sauvage Opress now. Can the Segura figure do the pose where she holds the lightsaber over her head and down her back as a defence in a light sabre duel as per the comics? This is a deal breaker. Never sure about the Bill Burr figures as he’s a comedian so the character seems off to me.
Clone Wars releases and the Success of Mandalorian saved this line. Thankfully, we are out of the dry spell made by the Movie Waves. Black Series seems to be on the uptick, while Legends is waning.
More hasbro lies on grogu. I appreciate your positivity in your reviews on hasbro but they need to be called out for there blatant lies. Good job on the call out to hasbro man! Other than grogu these figures look fantastic! Great reviews as always man!
I have Aayla, Maul, Grand Inquisitor and Migs on preorder. I might get Grogu if i find him for like 10-15 euros. I want Axe but never seen him In stock or on preorder
That custom Death Watch mandalorian looks amazing. Never painted figures before but I'll try to re-create that look on mine. Any tips on how you've done it would be much apreciated. Thanks!
Your dry bush skills make those figures look far more superior than the original product. Thanks for the early review! By the way, what are those figure stands that you're using and where can we get them? Thanks!
Weird wave for me - The Aayla one was what I was MOST looking forward to ever since it was rumoured - EVEN THOUGH I *only* collect original trilogy era figures (including stuff from solo + kenobi up to mando and bobf) just because I like Aayla so much (I'm a sucker for blue, and for badass women) but... yeah, I'm not even going to buy this one... Maybe it looks to cartoony for me? The face seems weird, and the overall proportions don't satisfy me, and the skin feels... too light? Or maybe it needs more toning? I don't know. Anyhow, I'm passing on her, Greef Karga of course (I don't even have the first one. He's just a lil boring), Miggs (I appreciate the character, but he's not someone I found cool), Grogu (of course), and weirdly enough, Axe Woves I'm skipping as well - I have Koska and Bo-Katan, and I love Mandalorian designs... but his design, particularly the arrangement of colours on his armour... it looks real ugly to me. Not necessarily the fault of the black series though, he's like that in the show. Plus he's such a different hue of blue to the others. The Grand Inquisitor is the one I'm most excited for - he was a weird-ass character, but I don't mind his design as much (I'm not a rebels person. Or even a Clone Wars person) and I might... I might actually get Maul as well? I'm not sure. I guess I could excuse myself buying him by saying he technically is around during the era I collect (Fighting Kenobi in that one Rebels episode)... weirdly enough I like the sith apprentice figure more. I think I like the bolder colour contrast. But then... I suppose neither of them would really fit in with the rest of my figures that well. Who knows. I guess if I see him on a peg I'll go @o@ and whisk him away
a few weeks back you showed a face shield for the death star gunner. Can you please send me the link to where you got it. I don't have a 3D printer, so I have to buy all my custom pieces. I really need that face shield though. I really appreciate it. Thanks Luke! - Ryan
this is probably the last wave of Black Series that you will be able to see with your own eyes while still in the package, everything after this will be in one of those windowless plastic free Hasbro crap boxes .. I will not be buying a single figure in those crap boxes , so this will most likely be my last chance to get a Black Series figure .. I will pick up Maul , Secura , and maybe the Mando .. the rest can kick rocks, the price point is another factor I only buy what I would consider a must grab.. I no longer fill my collection with secondary characters , or impulse buys.. Good work Hasbro , pretty soon you will push everyone out of buying your junk..
Aayla needed a neck articulation jist like assaj ventress, and her butterfly joint but looks like a big no.... shame. I had bicr expectetions on her...
@@LandspeederLuke Okay. Her skin is way too light blue compared to the movies, it has has those beady eyes which has no likeness to her in movies (and clone wars), the leeku structure is set way to low on her head, and it’s missing the spots on her leeku.
