Nice to see the Indiana Guard get some love. This was the 100 year paint scheme celebrating the Indiana air national guard's 100th anniversary. Also celebrating the 122nd fighter wing's last year operating the A-10. They are now converting to F-16 Vipers and have currently have 3 with the rest to be delivered in the spring.

A short video like this is good to cover something you have already done, like the A10. But could you do a really in-depth video on the BIG F14 please?

My brother flew the heritage A-10 in Fort Wayne. Took it to Oshkosh for a demo flight. Great interview from EAA. Going to miss those birds since they are transitioning to the 16s. P.S. The other tail section had Terra Haute with the checker board on the Heritage A-10.

The shortened build version was a great addition however I still believe that the lengthened build videos still has its place when building new aircrafts such as the F14 XL

nice build! What i do on dark surfaces while glueing, i add carbon fiber dust to the glue to first make it satay where i put it and second to blend in the color tom kae sure the glue color matches the surface color. also Jeti - i love it !

Coming Along nicely and plenty of Room in there as well. I remember Chris Golds doing electric A10 in U.K. with exhaust straight out caused no end of dramas re elevator deflection😮 until he adjusted them to how those ones you showed are angled problem solved.😊 keep at it now.😊

I live close to the 122nd fighter wing base who are the Black Snakes. It has been so awesome seeing the A-10s fly overhead, but they are now transitioning to the F-16s.

The problem with the F-16s is that they usually won't fly as low a the A-10s due to the fact that they are louder.

Do people buy these kits and you put them together for them? or Do you buy the planes put them together, and then sell them? This is such a great channel.

Either scenario. Typically owner will supply most or all of equipment and I assemble or I will take care of everything and owner will pay for it. A very few number of the builds are built and then sold. Usually don't stick around long. Thank you very much for watching!

Any thoughts/comments on the false turbine blades in front of the turbine if they will interfere with airflow entering the engines?

Not at all. They end up spinning up with airflow and increase in speed as turbine speed increases. It's a common thing on the SM A10's not for many years and no issues. I like them during the cool down as you just get them spinning and they push air across and into turbines.

I've been a scale RC'er for many years. The Skymaster A-10 will likely be my first turbine jet, since I've been looking at it for several years now. A question regarding the fuel tanks - Would it be a good idea (or not) to coat the tanks in some sort of "self-sealing" rubber compound of some sort?? Subscribed.

Thanks for watching! They are great easy fliers! No really needed as it would just add un necessary weight. Before the tanks go in you leak test them and after that unless you have a large impact (AKA Crash) they are generally perfect for the life of the aircraft.

Your rudder linkage was a bit shit, move that linkage in as far as you can on the servo or you will get flutter.

On the stabilizer horn, you said you were going to to have to trim the cover plate some for the shaft to clear. Why not offset it a little instead of trimming. Looks a little better than trimming

if you bring the clevis mounting point in to the point where you don't have to do any trimming then you hardly can get any movement with the surface.

I don’t agree 100%. If the clevis is put in the same hole and the threaded rod has a bend you are not changing the geometry. Anyway it’s just a question.

Green stuff from automotive paint supplier. Lighter than bondo.

I do have a real question. Did I just see you just use epoxy to glue those tank bungs in? I thought they have rubber gaskets. Won’t they leak?

The metal silver piece gets glued into the tank. The red piece screws in and uses a rubber oring.

That was my second turbine aircraft I ever owned. I have not built one since. We had a large one scheduled to arrive but the manufacture was having issues with structure so we canceled.
