Fernando Milan man it’s too bad some people don’t have the awareness of how gay they will look if they sell out. Could of totally chose the destiny of being like this. SAD! As trump would say haha
Probably a bit of record label interference combined with being 14 and easily led. Shame really they should be up there claiming the thrash crown with havok :(
@@Vriappiopoi No, it wasn't that bad. Basically, person after person left the band until Gabriel was the only original member. From there, they ended up completely disbanding after their 3rd album. Basically, they imploded.
No...it is the old Black Tide. Sadly the REAL Blacktide=current Blacktide=disappointment.... DISCLAIMER: pls, just stating my opinion, dont come rushing and calling me oldschool and hater. Current Black tide is "good" but disappointing for me.
Hard to believe these dudes were in their early teens making this. The guitar work was so polished and clean. I know grown men that arent capable of this kind of work.
Agreed loved this tune and this band saw em in Birmingham carling academy supporting bullet for my valentine when they first came out! But now not so keen if I'm honest they lost there grit when Nunez left in my opinion
They were freakin great , just what hard rock /metal needed , then they turned into some sort of total shit, how could they deteriorate from that amazing light from above album into what they became
Saw them at Bonner Springs, KS on the warped tour back in 2008. There was a dude next to the stage just grinning up at them the entire time. They drew a crowd of maybe 40 people, so everyone was up front. I yelled at him and asked him if he knew them, and he said one of them (can't remember which one) was his son, and he was chaperoning them on the entire tour. He was so genuinely proud of his kid and what they were doing. I come back to this song once every few years, and I'll always remember how wholesome that entire dialogue was.
Are you telling me the frontman was 15 when they recorded this? It seems Heavy Metal has future, after all... OK, I have heard their second record. Let's pretend Black Tide never happened.
+Guillaume Léveillé With his appearance, I highly doubt it. He's probably gonna regret his haircut, stupid ear stretching, and tattoo's in a few years.
The new stuff really sucks. Dont be coy about it, When I first heard Black Tide I was impressed(Loved every single song on the 1st album), and they had their own unique originality to them. Now I put on Black Tide and its like... wtf did you do with Black Tide? Its kind of sad but w/e makes them happy, its their band. I will gladly stick to their original content :)
I remember hearing this song from my cousin.....he only knew this song from the band but we listened to it all the time, and I even saw Black Tide like 5 years later and they were really good live. Unfortunately this same cousin who introduced me to this song passed away from a many year long heroin addiction, but this song will always remind me of the tons of good times that we had
I remember seeing them in 08 with A7X and tripped out about how young the vocalist was! Thought they were gonna be so huge and really inspired me to want to start a band. Haven't heard from them since lol
They should've never changed their original style of music. They would've made it big. They had something great and they started sounding like every other band after their first album. I still listen to it because it was so great.
I mourn this band. They had so much potential. And they threw it all away to become yet another interchangeable emocore knockoff. R.I.P. the TRUE Black Tide.
This Riff is very killer! It was the first song I heard, I fell in love with the band once again. I still listen to the new albums, but that marked my adolescence. I miss this Black Tide. Times that do not come back. "I'm a shock wave and I'll take your fucking life!"
You were the Chosen One! You were supposed to destroy the EMOS, not join them. You were supposed to bring balance to the heavy metal, not leave it in darkness.
I remember when this first came out. Me and all my upcoming young metal head Michigan musicians that were true metal heads said if todays youth (for that time frame) can actually still happen and still sound old school with a groove like the true legends then maybe the good metal could be saved ….. then they sold out.
I found this song on a flash game once, thought it was amazing. These guys are from 2007 too, so this is very current for metal music like this. But it looks like, they had just this one metal album and then changed everything afterwards. Please go back to your original roots boys~.
So much truth in both of your comments... I remembering thinking they were going to be kings, they probably thought so too... in hindsight I see how that might've been the problem.
I remember when this band came out, I was so excited that people my age were making REAL metal again. And now it's hard to watch this because all I can think about is how hard they sold out.
They became just alternative rock if anything cause nothing about their last 2 albums had elements of metalcore. Just ballady sad songs. No riffage, no screaming, no solos nor breakdowns.
Caga nisso Jonathan... pode ser boa para o que é, mas não é boa a este nível. Só está musica mostra logo como estavam destinados a acompanhar os Metallicas e os Iron Maidens. Agora ''ninguém'' sabe quem são :\
Everybody needs to take it easy. I had never even heard of Black Tide until Post Mortem caught a lot of attention, and now I love them! Then I listened to a buncha songs on their first album, and yeah, they sounded a lot different, but it's still good! If you "Old Black Tide" fans don't like the new sound, then don't listen!
@@andrealcantara1437 pois é, tinham um potencial enorme e acabaram se rendendo praquela merda de screamo/metalcore que tem trocentas bandas com som igual.
I don't get why everyone is hating on the guys, I mean, the first song I heard from these guys was "Shout" and I had never heard anything like it, if anything, this band made me love music. I love their older stuff, and I'll admit I'm not as big of a fan of their newer stuff, but just cause they decided to change their sound, doesn't mean they suck. I'm going to wait to see what they do, they might decide they preferred their other style and switch back, you never know. Either way, Black Tide changed my music taste, and made me want to play the guitar. Thanks guys. ;D
rock is the only way of life...niiice job guys keep rockin' and don't lose yorself as a lot of talentuous band has done in this years...rock is not dead
Thank god some people with common sense! Amen brother, you are a real person, not like all these other uninformed people who yell obscenities at people like us for calling things as they really are. I still enjoy this music, and always will, but as for their new stuff, well, all the Bullet For My Valentine/Hardcore kids can have fun with their new stuff, while we all remember Black Tide in their prime and their roots of what is REAL music.
it's not complaining, the thing is that they've changed so much from this album to the last one in terms of music style. It supposses that bands develop their own style of music through years but I think this should be gradual, not in such a drastic way that these guys did, because hard rock is so much different from metalcore and different type of fans too.
@bruce1movies Rock would never be dead. No matter where you run, or where you hide....rock would always be there. Rock will always be a legend and a classic. Unlike pop or rap where one day your downfall will come.
