Jeremy Komer !! Me too bro... First 2 Albums of BLACK TIDE WAS AMAZING. ..THEIR TRUE TASTE OF MUSIC WAS POURED OUT THEIR.... BUT UNFORTUNATELY FOR ME..THEY'VE CHANGED THEIR GENRE NOW. .I'M SAD...GREETINGS FROM PHILIPPINES!
It is so sad when bands change so drastically, there are a lot of bands that I used to listen, and suddenly they changed to a completely different genre :(
It seems to me that they are still metal but just a different kind. This would probably be classified as speed or thrash metal, and now they do more metalcore and heavier slow metal stuff.
@@billysilva2859 wow I never would’ve expected to see a dragonland reference here. Dragonland is good as fuck, super underrated, astronomy was a badass record but all of them are legit imo. Definitely recommend, supernova is a sick song
@@billysilva2859 their new stuff is pretty bad. Second album was kinda ok, some good songs. After that, don''t know what happened but it doesnt sound good
Still coming back to this album and still can't get over the fact they have changed completely their music style. They used to be one of my favourite bands
Light from above...what a debut album this was! awesome sound from a bunch of young dudes still in their teens! could've been the next big thing in metal! so sad they sold out
Man in earlier interviews they were all about bringing back old school metal and about being metal and gabe stated that his 2 all time favourite bands were pantera and megadeth man what happened they were so good
Oh man I feel such nostalgia listening to this album! I don't really care if they changed styles or whatever, I just stick to the memories of being a teenager enjoying my metal (probably the only thing that put me through that horrible fase of my life), feeling energized by the music these guys made. I'm forever grateful!
So sad that they dropped out after this album. They brought back the 80s rock mixed with a little 00s rock and then just switched to hardcore and killed it.
They were greats but metallica is comparable, they almost single handedly revolutionized the heavy metal industustries and conquered the world with their music, they wrote a lot of iconic songs and riffs, they are kings of their time,..black tide is great back then reminiscing of the era of thrash metal but they are in the new era ...
Haha it's amazing to see how a band can totally abandon their original style and completely sell out. They used to be so sick, this song brings back memories!
When you feel the world is above you When you feel like screaming your lungs out When you're in the darkness all alone Don't let it eat you alive You'll never be alone, you'll never be alone A man's got to do what he's got to do As long as you Shout, scream your hearts out Don't let nobody take you down Where you ain't belong Shout, scream your hearts out Don't let nobody take you down Where you ain't belong [Solo (Gabriel)] Why don't you fight for once in your life Don't want to live your life through someone else's eyes You'll never be alone, you'll never be alone A man's got to do what he's got to do As long as you Shout, scream your hearts out Don't let nobody take you down Where you ain't belong Shout, scream your hearts out Don't let nobody take you down Where you ain't belong [Solo 2 (Gabriel)] Now that I'm here, I'm going to face my fears Tired of hiding and I'm tired of running All that was part of me the fear that was in me I'm strong enough to finally break [Solo 3 (Gabriel)] Shout, scream your hearts out Don't let nobody take you down Where you ain't belong Shout, scream your hearts out Don't let nobody take you down Where you ain't belong Shout! It's your time to shout So shout! It's your time shout! Yeah
Damn I love this song. We've all been played. Listen to the lyrics of "That Fire" He's basically saying "I give you want you wanna hear. You say how awesome I am. You're naive." Used this good sound to leverage themselves to whatever that other shit is.
Quando ouvi esse som pela primeira vez pensei que esses moleques se tornariam tão grandes quanto as melhores banda de heavy metal que a gente ama. Infelizmente a grana falou mais alto e eles mudaram completamente de caminho. R.I.P
Pode virar ator porno e os caralho a 4. O problema é como a musica deles mudou. Falta de "auto-reconhecimento", porque se eles reconhecessem que eram bons no estilo que faziam, nao teriam mudado... uma pena
I remember showing those kids to a few friends years ago, and saying: look at that man! They're the fucking future of heavy metal! Next iron maiden and all that kind of crap, never been so wrong.. feelsbadman.
Que pena de pensar que ese album Ashes from Above era lo que nos hacia falta a todos... se desviaron, se fueron por lo comercial, y su musica se fue al abismo.
these guys are great i have commented on alot of their vids today and im sorry for that but if you see this black tide you are brilliant and i would see you 100 times if you came to adelaide
Is this seriously the same band that I just saw in the "That Fire" video? They literally seem like two completely different bands and I'm legitimately wondering whether or not the original members are still in the band. By the way, I've only just started listening to this band so I'm not really familiar with them.
I respect that opinion, but music is art, and I feel they're just releasing a different emotion for the time being, and a different picture. I enjoy both sounds... I hope to see them return to this classic metal sound, and indulge in others as well.
this group kicks ass.......and they are so young with so much talent. Hope they stay together and keep putting out kick ass tunes...........Black Tide!!!
