I was so happy when Obama was elected. My heart was swollen with pride that we had a black man as president of the US. By the next election, I voted for the Republican candidate for the first time. Obama literally destroyed my state, my job, my brothers job, and many other's jobs. I didn't really like Mitt Romney but at that point maybe we could recover financially. By the end of Obamas second term, I had lost everything. By the end of Trump, I had rebuilt my life. Biden got in office and destroyed my life financially again. I am desperate for a change. Yes, we need God in our lives. We are one nation under God. Our forefathers built our nation as christians themselves. We have freedom of religion here. I am tired of the anti-Christian stuff in this country. We shouldn't be discriminated against for race, religion, age, income, or any reason.

They do nothing for the Native American Indians either. Their entire focus is illegal immigrants. What about our veterans. My former business that I owned focused on one issue, and that was homeless veterans. We gave them a class to prepare them for employment. We helped them find a job and bought work clothes. We also helped them with a rental home deposit and first month's rent. We helped regardless of anything other than proof of being in the military. Sometimes, we had to help them get a copy of their form from the military.
It’s crazy that saying we should take care of our own is somehow wrong. We have people who been here since before this was a country that still getting ish end of the stick.
I voted for Trump in 2016, but I spent the first 3 years of Trump's Presidency in the background, not overly vocal, even though I was highly supportive then and now. It wasn't because I was ashamed, but I was shocked by the vitriol and hatred from even my family and friends, and honestly it silenced me more than I care to admit. I have since learned that there is no more time for us to be silent. We must shout from the rooftops. I love the courageous ones, and it's time for all of our voices to join theirs.

I didn't vote for him in 2016 (thank God he won anyway) just because I always thought he was so obnoxious (I'm 67 and remember his hijinks~ marriages, cheating scandals, etc. going back to the 70's) and I didn't believe he was sincere about his reasons for running. I'm happy to say I was wrong! Almost from day one of his presidency he showed me how mistaken I'd been about his love for this country in policy and deed. You bet I voted for him in 2020 and was devastated by the stolen election. I will be proudly voting for him in 2024, and pray we can overcome the Dems cheating game.
