This Blackmagic micro studio 4k g2 review was fun but forgot to cover one aspect of the camera and that it does have do native ISO, but it worked quite differently than a Sony equivalent, for example a big 400 ISO and you will have room to go up to a 1000 ISO or go low to 100 you will have no noise whatsoever doing post since the camera only record in blackmagic RAW the other ISO is 3200, so in theory there is two native ISO 400 and 3,200. lastly the HDMI only support 1080p which is unfortunate. Lastly there isn’t any continuous auto focusing, which is a big letdown.
This test indoor and outside in the real world so far is outstanding and this is just a pure LUT per build within the camera it's nothing extra.
The camera has three settings when it comes to LUT:
Video
Extended Video
Film - log profile
when recording within the camera using the USB it will be in Black magic raw 12-bit file, and it can be great at however you see fit including with a LUT pre burned in within it, which offers a lot flexibility but for now, This is this will be the end result while streaming using black magic macro studio camera 4K G2.

used it on a recent trip to Alaska footage on my channel. if it came with internal cfast express it would be a huge upgrade. suggest you get a locking usb c cable and a hot shoe mount for the top. i combined with a suikui rh35 3.5 inch monitor and had a very nice ex small package.

That’s nice bud, I’m still trying to be confident behind the camera with a screen, any gimbal work with it flawless. I really didn’t thought about the usb locking, maybe because I’m a static shooter atm. So far I got hot shoe mount and 5.5 mount, it look totally off. I’m be might try your setup instead soon.

Thanks for making the video! Quick question for you though. What is the max resolution the camera can record in? On BlackMagic’s website they say it’s a 4096x2160 sensor but in the recording formats it only lists 3840x2160. Can it record in the full 4096 resolution or is it stuck at the lower 3840?

Sorry for late response. But I never really looked into it, but is true 4K and 1080P recording only. I will look into later and inform you.

I actually did shoot cinematic footages, unfortunately the file was so large I didn’t had enough time to fit in the video, thanks for reminding me. I can actually make one using the footages I have, you’re the awesome 👏, I know what to do for the next one
