In this video, I will show you how to balance the BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro on the DJI RSC-2 Gimbal with the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 Canon EF mount and with the Carl Zeiss 35mm F1.4 ZE lens with a Canon EF mount.
The BMPCC 6K Pro connects the same way as the BMPCC 4K and BMPCC 6K.
Via the USB-C port on the camera.
You able to use the record button on the DJI RS2 and DJI RSC2.
You can also use the front dial to focus lenses like the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8.
With the DJI Pro Combo you can use the focus motor for manual lenses. You can also use the front dial to adjust the aperture but I found it didn't work perfectly every time.
You will also see some BMPCC 6K Pro Footage with the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 and some footage of the BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro with the Carl Zeiss 35mm F1.4 ZE Canon EF mount.
With the DJI RSC2 Pro Combo you get the Ronin focus motor that allows you to focus manual focus lenses, like the Carl Zeiss ZE series of Canon EF mount manual focus lenses.

Yes the Sigma has an appointment internal focus motor. USB c to usb and use the front dial.

You have to switch the lens into auto focus mode with that switch and plug in the camera with USB c

Really great video! I only have one question. I first heard of the possibility to pull focus without a focus pulling motor when you have a autofocus lens in this video. Is this only possible with a pro combo dji gimbal or do you think you could perhaps also do this with a tilta focus side handle where you also have USB c cable. I would really appreciate your opinion :) I couldn't find any information elsewhere

Thanks for the review! One thing: the focus by wire control sounds like it adjusts focus in small increments. Is there a way to adjust the sensivity of the focus wheel?

So the gimbal was never balanced properly and it shows in your footage. lots of wobble. you need to use a lighter lens or add counter weights to the underside of the camera via a cage.

Worked out very well for me, especially when I use mostly wide compact lenses. Only downside is when the gimbal needs to go upside down into under modes etc, the counter balance is in the way. Thanks for the advice

How do think what's better for using with BMPCC4K: RSC2 or original Ronin S? I thought rsc2 is not strong enough but after this video I might change my mind)

You will need an offset plate on the original Ronin S and the weight capacity isn’t much more. If you are buying a new gimbal go with the DJI RS2. Although it works on the RSC 2 it doesn’t hurt to have a heavier load capacity.

Oh nvm. The gimbal uses the usb-C connection. I guess that won't work.

Not sure if this makes much sense, but is there anything saying that you have to connect the gimbal to the camera? Could it still function well without being connected? Obviously you'd lose the controls and record start/stop via the gimbal, but then it could allow you to use the usb-C for an SSD?

Blackmagic software Update 7.3 affected the functionality of the RSC 2. Not sure if DJI will issue a software fix.

Because both use USB c port. Only one USB c port on the camera.

@@edwin3138 Maybe adjust everything on the camera manually and then hit the cameras record button, doing nothing but using the gimbal for stabilization, no controls. You will just have to plan your shots so that your subject is always the same distance from the camera and the lighting isn’t changing much (all those small changes to lighting can be corrected in post).

So now I'm in a conundrum because I was looking at getting an DJI RS2 for my 6k pro and 18-35 but now I've seen this. Is there any point getting that when I could just get this?

Although this set up works, I think the DJI RS2 would be better for the BMPCC 6K Pro and the Sigma 18-35. It doesn't hurt to have a higher payload capacity.
