That new JenLisa rap scene is so reminiscent of the good ol days of Aaliyah, Missy Elliot, Left-Eye (TLC) era. Almost felt like a homage. The nostalgia is soooo real.

They are signed to YG the biggest hip hop label based in South Korea. YG has ties to the some of the biggest western artist and labels in the industry. They know what they are doing. Also the girls wanted to pay homage to the ones that came before. Rihanna is one of the artist that Lisa respects a lot. They cover many many artist during their trainee days since they are signed under YG hip hop is a big influence in their music. They fuse hip hop into kpop to a tee.
