Jisoo is always trying to get more involved in the interviews even not speaking english, lately she's trying her best, I'm proud of her Thanks for the reaction!

I'm glad you did this , I hope that others who might've judged Blackpink too quickly get a new perspective. I'm not a Blink but I like Their energy and what they stand for. It's powerful when Girls can lean on each other.

Rosé is the band's spokesperson. She is very smart and speaks well. She is responsible for interacting with the audience at concerts and performances. She is ready to answer any question so other girls are always waiting for her help at an interview. On the other hand Rosé always gives others the opportunity to answer and if she sees that they can't she begins to answer herself. Jisoo often responds to Korean interviews 🙌

Another point on their body language - in Korea, female celebrities are give blankets when they sit down for an interview or to be filmed to cover up their legs especially when wearing short skirts. Here only two of the members have small pillows from the sofa which they keep over the edge of their skirts the whole time. To me I think their body language is less a reflection of confidence level and more a slight physical discomfort or unfamiliarity.

12:54 i think jennie seems to be that way because a) she's one of the most popular kpop idols in her home country and all eyes are on her basically 24/7, everything she does or says gets reported & b) while sadly at the same time she's the punching bag for a lot of kpop fans and she faces a huge amount of hate and online bullying during her career. she's aware of both of these points, that's why she's careful about how she reacts or what she says. + she's also the perfectionist of the group, doesn't matter what she's doing - writing lyrics, recording music, picking out outfits, presenting herself etc... please do more blackpink in the future! :)

Lisa doesn't tend to talk in interviews unless she's directly addressed. She's very introverted outside of performances

In their Netflix documentary: Blackpink Light Up The Sky, Jennie said that she is a very shy type person and it takes a lot of guts for her to reach where she is now.

BLACKPINK members relationship with each other in my eyes is so far the most genuine in Kpop. That's why I adore their friendship so much!

I'm not a blink but I really like blackpink and their energy. In their songs they are mostly portrayed as swaggy, bold and bossy girls, while off stage they are sweet, shy and a bit reserved. And because it's a English interview, they are a bit closed off even though rosé and Jennie are fluent. Whether it's a male or female group, compared to their English interviews, you will notice that they are more comfortable and free in their Korean interviews, atleast that's what I feel like.

Even though Jisoo doesn't speak English as much as the other members do, she does understand the language and cues to know what is being communicated :)

The reason why most people judge them as being disingenuous is because of how controlling their label can be and they have restrictions about how much of their true personalities and realities they can reveal without getting in trouble with their company. (Though we can see now as years pass by they're opening up more and more and showing their true, genuine, beautiful selves) and that's so sad because they have such sunny personalities, they're funny and kind and I would actually love to be friends with them!

I really enjoyed the interview. Yes, the girls seemed very real and down to earth. They also appeared to be very content to deal with each other as well as Zach. A pleasure.

lisa is actually a very good communicator, jisoo even once said how they went out and someone went to lisa and they greeted each other & had a lil convo, after that jisoo asked if they knew each other and lisa said no lol. Lisa is really open to socialize with anybody

Please don't listen to what people say Blackpink are so hated in the kpop industry and u don't wanna get into that 🙃 They're one of the most genuine artists/people i know and keep reacting to them you'll really fall for their personalities

i'm glad you checked them out despite having so many negative comments about them.. it's really sad that there's a lot of people who will always say negative things about somebody and peope would immediately believe it but i'm glad you took your time to actually check one of their interviews up. they're the sweetest and really really just a group of genuine human beings. their friendship and their genuineness is what i love the most about them.

in Korean interviews Jisoo is the one, I remember when Blackpink were asked in korean tv shows about anything, since they don't have a leader they would all look at Jisoo and Jisoo just take the lead. Same when they need to give a speech in Korean awards, Jisoo sounds the most confident and several times None of them wanted to do it and Jisoo just did it. When it comes to English interviews, both Jennie and Rosé are the most confident, like a 50-50 between them taking the role, but I would give it to Rosé because her answers are so complete and she is so wellspoken and smart. Rosé's first language is English after all, no surprise, English is Jennie's second language even tho she dominates it. Lisa is the youngest in the group and she doesn't usually speaks first but when she is asked in Korean, english, or thai she will give a really good answear and then stay quiet again

Im glad you reacted to them. Some people assume that blackpink doesn't have much chemistry or a one member hates another just because how quiet and reserved blackpink is from other groups. The four members are very kept to themselves, they have their chaotic and funny moments but they are reserved and into their own world. Even though, they've shown a lot of love towards each other as well as being there for each member during hard/stressful times. It's why the four of them debuted together out of all the YG trainees, is because of their chemistry and connection to each other which is why they don't fight over things such as being in the center, getting solo work, etc. I recommend watching Blackpink: Light Up The Sky Documentary. You can see the depth of each of their personalities as well as their bond and hardships too.

In Korean culture, keeping your hands clasped in front of you when you stand or sit is a sign of courtesy. They do it when there is an audience or in front of elders.

blackpink dont have a leader but to me it has always been rosie, she is always soo calm and focused in interviews, she knows how to answer the questions without making it too boring or dull. I feel like lisa is the most confident at stage, but the shyest in interviews also she is so cute lol she seems to be always excited like a puppy. To me Jennie is not serious or cold like people say she is, she is just shy and she doesn't like to put on fake smiles or be someone she isn't, i feel like she is very real and genuine all the time. Jisoo is not shy, she is just not very comfortable with english but she still does a really good job keeping up with everyone else, on the other hand she shines in korean interviews

I love them 4 soooo much! But I have to say JENNIE really stands out to me. She has this quiet confidence. Like, she doesn't have to be the loudest/most chaotic person to pull focus. I find she commands attention with the way she carries herself, the way she speaks, etc. Very classy! And she's very sharp too, always very clear on her emotions, her requests and so on. Definitely not a wallflower.

They're such bosses on stage but get kinda shy and sweet when they're off of it, haha. I noticed they seem to be more reciprocative when they do interviews with Zach. Many blinks have said Rose is like their English ambassador and Jisoo is like their Korean ambassador for interviews and I agree with that.

I’m so happy you checked out Blackpink! They’re my favorite girl group and some of the sweetest women out there! I want to from what you said about their body language being more closed off bc of the way they’re sitting, I think it has to do that this is one of the first few English interviews they’ve done at that time so I would think they’re nervous inside and try to come off professionally as possible if that makes sense. If you really want to see them more relaxed I their Korean interviews, they’re a lot more relaxed and confident, their personality come out a lot more! I loved your analysis. It would be extremely interesting if you could analyse them in a korean speaking interview where they're all more comfortable with the language and you can actually appreciate their personalities.

I'm not a fan of Blackpink, most of their songs aren't really my style, but I like and respect the girls. In contrast with their MVs they're really cute, shy-is and lovely in real life. And, of course, very beautiful and talented.

they are very funny when the interviews are not that serious, for example you can see in "Who Is the Most Charming BLACKPINK Member?" how they interact with each other and the chemistry they have!

Jennie and Rosé are the one who's assigned to speak mostly in a foreign/international interviews (english) while Jisoo in korean interviews or award shows. Lisa is their representative for speaking thai coz its her 1st language. Blackpink can also speak japanese, and a little bit of chinese. Lisa- born and raised from Thailand. She has a Swiss Father ( Chef Marco). She only learned speaking korean on her trainee days. Can also speak basic chinese, japanese and learning french. Jennie- born and raised in Korea but went to New Zealand as an exchange student. Also can speak fluently in japanese and learning french. Rosé- born in New Zealand but raised in Melbourn Australia and went to Korea to start her training at the age of 15. Can also speak japanese. Jisoo- born and raised in Korea. No English background but with the help of her members esp. Jennie and Rosé She understand and speak english well. She is fluent in Japanese and can speak basic chinese too. Blackpink spent 4-5yrs of training in dancing, singing, speaking diff language, etc. They have a foreign language lessons during their trainee.

I also think one of the aspect that made Lisa so loved around the world is her natural ability of communicate with others just with her body language and facial expressions🤍🤍 So people gravitate (as you said) to her immediately. She shows a lot of interest and genuine affection to people when she is talking with them or just listening. Even with language barrier, that happens in her English interviews or when she was in China in a program called YWY as dance mentor! Jisoo said one in NY someone came to them and said “Hiii!” And Lisa answered so effusively Hiiii!!! that Jisoo thought they were close friends reuniting but that person was a strange 😂😂😂 and Rosé said Lisa always make other people feel warmth and confortable surround her 🥰

thank you for being so open minded abt blackpink despite some of the negative things you've heard! blackpink is insanely popular and unfortunately along with the good opinions comes and overwhelming amount of haters. ALSO if your looking for another english interview thats short and sweet I highly recommend the netflix blackpink charm battle interview! It's one of their most recent interviews and all four members seem very comfortable and speak a lot showing off their true personalities the best of any of their other english interviews. I'd really love seeing your thoughts on it :)

Coachella was interesting for Blackpink. It was their first time performing in America and they were at a festival with a ton of other western artists. They had accepted that the crowd may not be what they were used to and they were genuinely prepared for not many people to show but they were going to give it their all anyways. And when they walked out there it was just a sea of people. There for them. Not because it was a Blackpink concert but because they WANTED to see them at that festival.

One very unique thing about blackpink is that they are one of the only Kpop group without a leader. That’s why the comment about them being a unit and relying on each other is perfect. No member is every the leader but each member would step up depending on the circumstances. So they are very different from other groups that their might be a leader/spokesperson who will be mainly speaking on behalf of the group. It is one of blackpink’s many charms.

Lisa usually don’t interact much in interviews when she is with the rest of the members… if you want to see how she is and her communication skills, for me the best interview is “Lisa in Woody Show”.👀It’s an interview online in Thai cause she is form Thailand and in English still she doesn’t feel enough confident and in Korean she doesn’t have too much interviews😅😂 but that one is super good, it would be great if you can react to that🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻🥰

I think a reason as to why people think they have this fake persona is because they have such a big duality(we get to see them in two extremely different environments, them performing as Jisoo, Jennie, Rosè and Lisa from Blackpink but we also get to see them as 4 friends who are like family to each other doing what they love together). When you see them on stage they are in their element doing what they are passionate about, they get this confidence and as jennie said in The Movie, it’s like different side of her comes out. But when they are off stage what we see is that at the end of the day they are just 4 friends who are doing what they love with people they love. Also the “image” that YG wants to puts out are these strong, powerful, almost perfect(not to say they aren’t but nobody is) bad b*tch persona(not that they aren’t theses but YG just pushes it out more). And when we see them in a more comfortable place like their shows (blackpink house, 24/365 with blackpink, light up the sky, the movie, the lives they do on VLive or Instagram) they get to show their self’s in a more “natural” environment and that’s when they do open up to BLINKs and show a human, relatable and vulnerable side of them. +

They always feel authentic to me.

Can you watch "Blackpink tells us what they really think of each other" and "Who is the most charming Blackpink member" (both interviews are by Netflix and pretty short at 7 minutes each). In these videos, the girls are more relaxed and playful. You get to see more of their personalities, especially Jisoo and Lisa. The videos are mostly in English with some English subtitled Korean here and there!

I think you have seen BTS sad, happy, and calm…how good they are treated now but before all of this they were ill treated (it happens now too) but if you see “bts angry moments” you will see how bad they were treated and how they reacted to it which I believe should help understand them better or maybe react to the introduction to the seven members of BTS video to know more about them each

Jisoo has very advanced communication skilsl, which you'll later see. There isn't a shy bone in her body. However, this is an English interview and even though Jisoo understands it and speaks little, the other three are fluent and comfortable communicating it. This is why she gets isolated in English interviews. I hope you choose non-English interviews at least for your first-time reactions. It's always unfair because some of the most talkative and charming members in most Kpop groups are not fluent.

if you could, please please react to Lisa's Thai interview on Woody show. it will tell a lot more about her as an artist and is quite entertaining too. she's very comfortable there as thai is her first language (English subtitles are provided). you'll see she's very open unlike Blackpink interviews where she stays quiet most of the time as Jennie and Rose naturally take the lead. if you have time, I would love to see it.

I think you would really enjoy the video of Blackpink doing "Carpool Karaoke" with James Corden. It's more recent than this video and all of them interact with James a lot.

I like Zack Sang Show, he know how to make people comfortable. I don't know why but I like a lot his interview with Stray Kids. Anyway Blackpink really feel like sisters and when you whatch english interview Jisoo is always holding back herself because obviously she doesn't know the language like the others, but if you whatch something in Korean she's more herself

I’ve wondered since I started following them if YG gave them media relations training like American boy bands and girl groups were given because they can sometimes come off as very unsure on what to say to the people interviewing them and when they win awards Jisoo usually gets forced in front of the microphone to do a speech or if the other girls give it they seem very nervous and make mistakes.

many kpop stars aint pure korean. they are american, chinese, japanese, thai, australian etc but they are of Asian descent born outside of south korea. they started the audition when they are adolescent about 10-15 years cuz they dont want them to learn about dancing only but also KOREAN right when they start training there. there are more to learn more than dancing

Jennie is really genuine she says what's in her head let's say she's like the suga of blackpink and well she got a lot of hate about it that's why she doesn't show it that much and u can see her thinking a lot about what she's gonna say + she has social anxiety so she tries her best not to look stressed
