Absolutely tragic how desperate this guy was for trouble & be able to paint Rangers fans in a bad light. Just lots of people mixing & enjoying themselves & the worst thing he can pin on us is some litter.

Great video as always Steve, and many thanks for giving me the opportunity to catch up on my home town, and of course Blackpool fc, looks like a great atmosphere there yesterday, I used to work with many rangers fans in my old job back home. As we both know Glaswegians love our town. Sad to see central drive looking even worse these days, and the Mecca now gone, used to play snooker in there in the commonwealth sport club. Nice video, thanks for posting. I used to go on holiday to Blackpool as a kid and saw them play a couple of pre season friendlies in different years (Man City and Dundee Utd iirc) in the pre modernized ground. Saddened to see the obvious decline of the town with all of these boarded and shuttered shops. Shocking the authorities have allowed this to happen. I hope the town and will start to prosper again soon.

I just watched highlights of the game. 8k Rangers fans. That is absolutely unbelievable for a pre season game. 8 thousand fans is incredible away support. Respect to Rangers for that

You should have filmed walking to the stadium from the promenade mate. That's where all the thousands of Rangers fans were, pre-match. Not Central Drive LOL.

This must be the biggest ever away support that BFC have ever seen ... 8'000 offcial tickets sold to Rangers ...and approx another 1.500 tickets bought locally ..... Then alll the 300 hospitaliy packages

Mecca was also the Locarno. Had not just Northern Soul but also: Sixth Form dances there. Dave Lee Travis. ICI children's parties after the circus. Duane Eddy. It was a smart venue. Stunning foyer. Escalators to upper floors. Proper cloak rooms and ticket collectors. Maybe it was 20 years ahead of its time ..... Nothing like it now.

Wish I could have went to this. Hope all the Rangers fans had a great time and of course the local fans too. A great place to take in a game then enjoy some beers afterwards. Looked a beautiful day.

I couldnt get down, so thanks for sharing - looks like both sets of fans had a good time, and the match was decent for a friendly :) As it is Glasgow Fair, you would normally find stacks of Glaswegians in Blackpool this weekend anyway - the match coincided nicely with it and ensured a good turn out. You should go into the Gallant Pioneer pub sometime, as thats the main Rangers pub in Blackpool.

Honestly from the very start of your video how many times did you mention Rangers fans and the word trouble together I was in Blackpool for another event the same weekend and all the football supporters from both sides seem to be having a good old time and a good old laugh I'm not a rangers supporter but I am sickened by the way some of you automatically think Scottish teams visiting will cause trouble as always both sides will have their few idiots but the majority both sides are there for a good weekend

You seem as if you where desperate walking the streets to find trouble...I actually lost count in the first 3 mins that you mentioned the word ' trouble' re Rangers fans !!!!! (check it out) Then at 2.36 mins into your video ...you also gave a 'negative' comment re Rangers fans ...saying 'It could be a recipe for disaster' !!.... I stopped watching your vid after 4 mins as it was so negative towards the 10,000 plus Rangers support (probably a record for away support at Bloomfield Rd) which boosted the economy...... and most Rangers fans even wore our Orange away kit in support of Blackpool FC .... what annoyed me was the amount of time the commentator kept mentioning the police like he was convinced there was going to be a lot of trouble....i was there and only saw a handleful of police....classic case of profiling...he did not even realise the amount of orange shirts in the away end were rangers fans in the away top....even when he was talking to a couple who clearly showed the club crest on the shirt....come on mate...if ya wanna get ahead in this game....DO YOUR HOMEWORK.....all you yapped on about was how were the police going to handle this....surefire way to turn off potential viewers
