Lots of reasons, if you want a firm grip on the blade, but the tang has already been drawn out for instance. You can still grip the blade without the tang interfering.
As always, nice looking work, and by the look of it two years has passed and another 200,000 subscribers. I always enjoy seeing your working with your children, they have a great father.
Beautifully made. I've been wanting a pair of these for a few years now, still not sure why I haven't just bought a pair yet lol. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the 100 thousand!
I've been a knifemaker for over 40 years and I think that show "Forged in Fire" is the biggest joke I've ever seen. Those people that come on that show are supposed to be experienced "Blade Smiths"? The blades they come up with are ridiculous. I wouldn't dare sell anything that they make. Terrible, terrible amateurs.
Boa Noite Amigo ! Ficou Muito Bom... Muito Bom Mesmo. Parabéns Você Realmente É Um Mestre Na Arte de Forjar ! Parabéns 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Cosme - São Paulo - Brasil
No, I bought it used. The new Kohlswas are not very good it seems. They are not heat treated the right way. BTW Kohlswa went out of business a few months ago... sad.
I like the way you riveted these tongs together, instead of using bolts. I have been teaching my students the basics of using solid rivets. Congratulations on your achievement. !00,000 subscribers.
Another fantastic job. 12:40 I am amazed that mushrooming over the pivot pin doesn't lock the two jars together with friction. What prevents them from being locked after mushrooming each side of the pin?
It's wonderful, I did not think that there is still people who knew work like at the time or I was starting my apprenticeship 56 years ago. Simply thank you, I just spent 4 hours you watching me marvel at your skill!
Congratulations on your 100,000 Subscribers and really enjoyed this video I am totally blowing away with all the aspects of you forging those tongs amazing 😊😊
A very nicely made set of tongs, the offset makes them very useful, well done. A belated congratulations on the award, no doubt well deserved, the quality of your video production rivals your skills at the anvil. Regards from “down under “.
Congratulation's young man well deserved I am real glad I was part of something worth while, I fully expect to see the young one there with Hammer in hand some day
Thunder Bear, it is my considered opinion that you are in fact a very clever person. I never get tired of your videos. There is a unique balance to them that I find both peaceful and satisfying. Hope you and yours are well and safe.
